I had been wandering through the streets of the city when I came across The Black Boar. Having just finished purchasing a book about an Alban spy Prince and his band of thieves, I thought the notion interesting, that I would happen apon an Alban tavern.
I pushed the door open and entered, sitting at the bar I ordered a mug of authentic Alban ale and watched the room. It was later in the evening, just before dinner and it appeared to be getting busier. Perhaps I'd run into some one interesting...If not, I always had my book.

I hadn't intended to be out in the city this late. I'd really only gone out at all to return a pair of gloves, which had been a totally overpriced and impractical purchase I'd somehow talked myself into. But then I'd gotten caught up in the flow of Night's Doorstep, and before I knew it, not only was the lunch hour long gone, but it was getting on to supper time.
But I was still caught up by the city, so I decided to stop into the Black Boar for a bite, rather than return immediately to Heliotrope. I took up a spot at a small table and put in my order for a savory lamb stew, as well as an ale, the latter of which came promptly. I leaned back, at ease, cradling my mug in both hands on my lap rather than leaving it on the table.

I had heard the door open of the tavern and glanced over my shoulder briefly catching the almost tiny of looks at the patron entering. I turned back to my mug then for some reason glanced back again. It was a better look this time, a young blonde woman came into the tavern and sat at the table to my right. I turned my chair toward her slightly holding my mug in my hands leaning slightly into my lap. I fashed her a soft but genuine smile hoping to make eye contact with her.

I became aware of attention coming from the bar. A young man, well born by the look of him was smiling at me. It was a nice smile. I met his gaze from beneath my lashes and gave him a shy smile of my own. Then went a step further, raising my glass slightly and inclining my head in salut.

I waved slightly and raised my own glass in return. I didn't take a sip of the ale instead thought for a moment. Taking a breath I rose from my seat and moved to her table and took an empty chair.
"May I join you?" I asked still smiling.

"Certainly." I said, nudging a chair towards him with my toe under the table, my smile brightening when I saw him fortify himself before he approached me. "May I have a name?" I asked sitting up straiter and placing my mug back on the table, though my fingers stayed laced around it.

I smiled pulling out the chair and taking a seat in it. "Milo," I said smiling as put down my mug and pulled the chair up to the table. I leaned across the table my elbows holding me up as I laced my fingers together. "Comte Milo de Vitorrio." I used the D'Angeline word for my title. "May I start by saying that you are possibly the most stunning creature I've ever laid eyes on."

I laughed lightly, putting the back of one wrist to my cheek for a moment as I felt myself blush. "Thank you, my Lord." There was something earnest about him that I liked right away. "Vitorrio, is that Caerdicci?" I asked taking a dainty sip of my drink.

"Just Milo, and yes." I said taking in the beauty of her flushing skin. "I'm new here, well that is. I'm half D'Angeline but I've never really spent time here." I explained as I continued to smile, her beauty intoxicating me.

"Well, Milo, Terre D'Ange is always happy to welcome home a son." I beamed at him, "And what do you think of my fair City so far?"

"Beautiful," I said locking my gaze with hers. "And sweet. But it would be more sweet with your name on my lips." I added.

I met his eyes, dark like my own, and spoke softly, "Corbeau no Heliotrope." I caught my lower lip momentarily between my teeth, before my smile returned

"Corbeau." I said tasting the name on my lips as I glanced to her own lip which is bit at absently. "Beautiful." I said softly.

"So you've come to Terre D'Ange, from Caerdicca Unitas, and here you sit, in an Alban pub." I said leaning slightly on the table's edge and cocking my head slightly, "Did I miss anything?"

I narrowed my eyes and looked about the building we sat in then paused and thought for a moment before nodding ever so slightly and looked back to Corbeau. "Yeah." I said smiling.

I laughed slightly at his examination of the building. "What brought you here?" I asked, taking another sip of my drink, just as my modest supper arrived.

"Not at all," I said earnestly, leaning forward to lay my hand briefly on his forearm to assure him he was welcome. "Astonishingly, I can both satisfy my hunger and carry on a conversation concurrently." I said wryly, then eating a small spoonful, to prove my point.

"Fair enough." I said leaning back onto my elbows and slightly over the table and watched for a moment, taking in every action.
"Curiousity." I said finally as I reached for my mug and took a sip before putting it down and looked back at her.

It was odd, to be watched so as I ate. I imagined that from many it would make me uncomfortable, and disinclined to eat, but he watched me the same when I'd blushed, or even when I merely spoke or smiled. "About... what?"

"Why I came here, you asked me what brought me here." I said still watching her, I glanced to her hair briefly, and twice to her mouth and once to her nose. She crinkled it slightly and I smiled at the sweet innocense of such a simple gesture.

"And have you been satisfied?" I asked softly, without immediately realising the potential double entendre of the phrase. When I did I ammended, ignoring the slight heat I felt come to my skin, "Your curiosity, I mean. Are you finding what you hoped to?" My gaze flitted breifly from his face to the table top, as I re-gathered myself.

I chuckled softly, my hand coming up to my face, my finger running in my nose and over my top lips, the small hairs of a mustache growing there.
"My curiousity has only just been peaked." I said raising a soft brow in her direction.

I smiled and pushed aside my bowl, leaning in even as I demurely averted my gaze, in part to hide the fact that my own curiosity had started to stir. He was very charming.

"No," I said, shaking my head slightly, "I don't eat out much, old habits I suppose. Saving every coin for my marque"

She was unmarqued, I filed it away as I smiled back at her. "Where do you frequent then?" I asked curiously.
