"I'm supposed to be the one making amends, remember?" I replied with a grin. "Besides, I so rarely get to feel short around anyone."

I laughed out loud at that and looked down at her, grinning widely. "Would you prefer it if I squatted?"

I chuckled. "Not at all. It's a nice change in fact," I told him with a smile. "It's nice to feel... delicate."

Unable to do much physically as one arm had her on it and the other was leading my horse, I looked over her face instead, my smile honest, if a little flirtatious still. "You are delicate, Keaira," I said, resisting the urge to scoop her up with one arm.

"I've never stepped on your foot," I replied with a laugh. I was enjoying my time with him, he was easy to laugh with. Not as easy as a certain someone else, but I was still having fun.

"And thankfully I haven't stepped on yours either," I retorted, grinning at her as we continued along before leaning to peek down at her feet. "I very well might break them."

I chuckled. "You might. You are in boots after all, and I'm just in slippers."

I grinned. Such wit. "Fine, fine. Well, I give you my word, then, to here-by miss your small, nimble feet."

"You're very kind," I teased him back with a smile. "It's a wonder you don't have people praising your name for your kindness. Perhaps I'll have to start a new trend."

"Are you going to build me a temple, too?" I asked teasingly, amusement causing a sparkle to light my eye.

"Why of course. What style of architecture would you like? The friends that I would ask for help on this might go wild if they aren't given constraints," I replied, not missing a beat. "Though it might have to be a small temple. We wouldn't want to annoy any of the other gods."

"Leave the other gods to me," I said, puffing my chest out arrogantly as we walked. A vaguely familiar House was unmasking itself to our right, though I couldn't remember which it was. I'd only been to Heliotrope; the rest I'd read about, not seen. "How far down is Jasmine?" I asked, curious, as I glanced from the House and to her pretty face again.

"It's down that path," I replied, pointing as we continued by and I guided him up another path. "Eglantine is just up here."
We made our way to the gates, and as we passed through, a boy came to take his horse. We were as efficient as any other House, even if you concentrations were more varied.

For a moment I looked at her, confused as to why she said her house was down the path and then said it is up here, a different direction. I followed her regardless, letting the boy take my riding horse away when what I said came crashing down in a moment of raw embarrassment. Damn, damn. I said Jasmine when I meant Eglantine.
Unable to recover for the mistake, I merely remained silent, letting the moment pass as it... hopefully... would. "Your House is beautiful," I said honestly, enjoying the way it sat against the sculpted grounds.
