In a comfortable house located where the borders of Eisande and Siovale meet to look out on Marsilikos Jean-luc Bauldouin was sitting enjoying an afternoon's spot of tea and the not-so-distant sound of the waves crashing on the beach. A light spring breeze through the open patio doors kept the air cool and fresh but not cold, the scent of the sea waifting in to fill the room.
Hearing footsteps he turned to see his bellman enter, a small note held in his hands. "This arrived for you, sir." He announced, handing the small letter to him.
Accepting the note he set down his cup to break the seal. "Thank you," he replied absently, scanning the contents of the letter.
Monsieur Bauldouin,
... I am Palo Agustino, Benefactor of Vicomte Dicarlo de Cardona and I am writing in reguards to a certain young lady by the name of Xaurora Belina tu Aureleous nó Cardona, Granddaughter of the Vicomte Dicarlo. At this time I would like to request an audience with you at your earliest convienence.
... I am currently traveling to visit you by recomendation of Monsieur Darnell, whom I met with earlier this week. I am told we expect to see the coast line after two days travel, and I was assured that this letter would reach you a day earlier than I would.
Reguards,
Palo Agustino
Turning to his bellman he instructed him to watch for Palo's arrival and, setting the letter on the table he returned to his tea. "Make sure he is welcome when he arrives," he added, "and let the staff know to prepare him a room for his stay." He said, his thoughts straying to his memories of Xaurora and thinking of how long it had been since he had seen the girl.
