It had been several days since I'd met Mirielle at the generous patron, and since I'd encountered the sultry adept Avrielle. The coronation was looming, and the imminence of seeing Mirielle again, coupled with my guilt, compelled me to seek her forgiveness. Would I want an involvement with her? I shuddered at the thought of being dedicated to one woman, but the idea of having hurt her, and lost her esteem, was inacceptable. Besides, I felt like a fool, and I needed to make amends. I penned her a note, and enclosed a Kritian bracelet from the collection of jewellery I'd picked up in my travels. It was a delicate thing of worked silver, with a green lozange of jade embraced in an ornemented silver case. She would have a chance to let me approach her, if she willed it. That was the least I could do. When that was done, I ordered Giovanna, our head maid, to have the note and package delivered, and to have Cascata meet me in my study.

I was summoned by Giovanna to meet Gillermo in his study. I readily accepted since I have had a warm spot for Giovanna for some time. I also prefered to have my brother on my good side.
I walked into the study and smiled, "you asked for me Gil?" There was a small part of me that wondered if I had done something, but I wasn't to worried since I didn't think that was the nature of the summons.

"Yes sister-dear, I did," I replied, as i took a sip of Kafae, Giovanna prepared it wonderfully. "It's come to my attention that you haven't been taking care of some important things recently. I had a mind to talk to you about them," I said, gesturing so she would have a seat. "Hmmm this is great, have some," I said, offering her a spare mug with hot Kafae.

I held back a sigh as I took a mug of Kafae and smelt its aroma. I did not drink it very often, but just the smell was making me feel more alert. I took a sip, savoring it for a moment before turning my attentions to my brother. Apparently the servants had slacked off when I wasn't holding their hands. I felt I should be able to do my thing and they theirs, I should only intervien when there was a change of some sort.
"So," I said to Gil, hoping to sound more confident than I truly was, "what is it this time?"

I took another sip of Kafae, holding the mug to my lips to hide my growing grin. My composure regained, I stood. "Let me show you."

This time I did not hide my sigh as I stood up to follow Gil. I took the Kafae with me, sipping it slowly, in an attempt to enjoy some aspect of this conversation.

I kept my straight composure as I walked to the closet. Very sternly, I told Cascata to open it, although my own amusement was starting to transpire.
I opened the door, and very seriously, asked Cascata, "Please, have a look inside."

I gave Gil a odd look when he asked me to open the door, I didn't rumage through his things, espcially those in the study. While I do ocassionaly read, its no a major hobby of mine.
When he turned and opened the door for me I was peeking in before he even asked. My curiosity was perked. I really looked when he told me too and saw hanging in there a dress. It was violet in color and by far one of the prettiest I had seen. Even though I didn't think for a moment that my brother had taken to women's clothing I couldn't help but to gasp and ask, "is that for me?"

I smiled widely. "No, darling, it's for To-Biko," I jested.
I chuckled heartily, pleased that my surprise had been a success. "Did you really think I would let you go to the Coronation without proper presentation? You completely overlooked it, you silly girl. Do you like it?"

I laughed with Gil with the though of To-Biko wearing the dress, espcially since in my mind it would burst at most of the seams.
"Of course I like it!" I told Gil excitedly, "Can I go and try it on?"

"I don't think I would have forgiven you for not indulging," I replied with a smile. "But do come back and show me. After all, you will be on my arm, won't you?"
"Besides, you are the jewel of the Di Belafonte branch of the Stregazzas, and its most precious gem, sister-dear. When meeting Royal kin, - we both need to look our best, especially since one of us represents our cousin Emilio in this country."
Oh, I was being so serious, I blamed myself. "Don't worry, the fete will be much more relaxed, I expect, and you won't have to bear my stuffy presence."
I reclined against the nearby wall, waiting for her to go.

I threw my arms around Gil and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, "of course I will be on your arm." As soon as he leaned against the wall I raced no time in hurrying to my room, though when I was out in the hall I kept a steady gait. Even though most of the servants knew me pretty well I wanted to seem a little rash around them.
Once in my room I threw my current dress off and onto the bed, I then carefully put on the dress, making sure I did not damage it in anyway. I looked at my image in the mirror for a few seconds. It seemed to fit me like a glove, as if it was made for me specifically. With my hair and face done it would look all the better.
I returned to Gil, making sure I didn't do anything to the dress along the way. I walked in the room and did a quick twirl, "what do you think?"

I smiled with satisfaction. "You look lovely, truely you do." It came to mind Mirielle might be jealous of the very beautiful young noble I'd have at my side. I smirked at the thought. "You will very definitely be turning heads."
To-Biko came in as I spoke, oblivious to Cascata, in the middle of a sentence. "Gil, there's a," he stopped in his tracks, realizing Cascata was there, and gawked a little. "I'm sorry MyLady, My Lord," he said bowing.
Silently, he dropped the letter onto my desk, bowed again, and left.
I leaned back in my chair, and smirked. "Well, that said it all. You will ravage hearts, sister-dear."

I couldn't keep the smile of satisfaction off my face when To-Biko looked, though I tried to look away so that Gil wouldn't notice it as much. Though I didn't have romantic feelings for To-Biko, and I am sure he didn't for me, it still pleased me when I caught his attention. I liked to think he enjoyed the one night we had, though he had never said anything either way to me. It had been a few years, but I still remembered it like it was yesterday.
I turned my smile into a happy one for my brother's kind words and then asked, curious, "who is the letter from?"

I looked at the letter. "Oh, nothing interesting. Merely an account of affairs from the seneschal." I skimmed through it. "Looks like everything is normal. Mother did fire her maid, but nothing else."

I shrugged at the letter, mom firing a maid wasn't a big deal to me. There where a few that I had liked, but if for some reason I heard they had left I would ask that Gil hire them here. They knew to call me if they needed.
My thoughts going back to the dress I said, "I am going to go and change out of this before something happens to it. Do you want me to come back in here when I'm done?"

Sitting back down at my desk and shuffling through my papers, I made a light dismissing gesture with my hand, then looked at Cas with a smirk, "You're free to go, and welcome back if you want to keep me company while I shuffle through this. But if you have better things to do than to entertain your boring big brother, you may leave," I replied, my last sentence a mock tone of grandeur.

I smiled at Gil and said, "how about when you are done shuffling through papers you come and find me and then I'll keep you company. That way you can better shuffle and I can figure out how to properly accessorize this dress."

"Suit yourself, sister dear," I replied in mock pout. "I'll just shuffle, shuffle, shuffle," I said as I dove back into my paperwork, sighing my boredom.
