Dearest Mirielle,
My spirit rejoices with the news that you are joining us here in the City! This place will only benefit from a bloom such as yourself joining us. Please contact me whenever you arrive and we shall get together to catch up, for it has been far too long.
Best wishes for a safe journey.
Love, August

The days had gone from sunny and cheerful to rainy and gloomy, so when the letter arrived one chill morning I was overjoyed to say the least. Warmth filled me as I opened his letter, and I think the only thing that kept me from tearing it open was years of practice in patience.
He sounded wonderful and I was glad to know it, and without hesitation I penned my response to him, sending it with the courier that had borne his missive to me.
Sitting back as the Trevalion-livered man left, I pondered the longevity in the relationship I bore with August and his parents, remembering well the years I had spent on their estates. The simple letter of greeting made me feel more at home in this strange city, giving me a basis of familiarity that I had not realized was lacking until the void was filled.
Smiling softly I went back to my papers, sifting through them with a lighter heart.

Dearest Mirielle,
Times have not always been happy of late, but recently the sun has come from behind the clouds and filled my life with light again. Could it be coincidence that it seems timed with your arrival?
I do fear that my days are busy right now, but I shall be attending the coronation, will you be there as well? I would love to see you and we can set a date for a more private time to visit.
Love, August

Dearest Mirielle,
It has been far too long, and we will not only remedy that but prevent it from occurring again.
I look forward with all my heart to seeing you at the coronation. Save me a dance at the fete, or I shall have to cause a seen.
Love, August
