Name: Marc Liatris, Duc d'Neige, Sovereign Duc of Camlach
Age: 38
Height: 6'4
Gender: Male
Race: D'Angeline (Camaeline)
Home Province: Camlach
Appearance: Though still quite young in relativity to most D'Angelines, Marc has spent many years at hard work and it shows in his face and form. His skin has the colour of soft tan in the summer, creating a leather like appearance that makes him appear far more his age then some would guess. Though it appears a more pale gold the rest of the year. Marc's eye's are his strongest point, a dark deep brown (almost black) that offsets his dusty medium blond hair which he keeps long and braided. Though the front of his hair is shorter creating a more shaggy look. Standing very tall at 6'4, his thin but lithe form is impressive and he's often seen as formidable and looming. Marc is undoubtably the spitting image of his late father Eddard Liatris.
History: Marc is the only son of Eddard Liatris former Sovereign Duc of Camlach. When Marc's mother died in childbirth, it was assumed by Eddard and the house that his child had perished with her. The trauma being too much for both wife and son to survive, and it was truth at first.
The new born and lifeless body of Marc had been taken away by nursemaid and midwife Anastasie Lamont. Ana, as she was known as, was a young woman and had recently wed one of the estate's Chevalier's. They had been trying for a few years to have a child of there own with no luck.
So when the child was handed to her and she was told to take away while Eddard morned his wife's passing, well imagine her surprise when her motions and nurturing the stillborn made the boy coo. Ana examined the infant to come to realize that others had been mistaken about the boy's birth and that perhaps the young child had only been in shock and not deceased as others had simply assumed. In a shock of her own Ana could only hold the child to her, crying at the miracle of what had happened.
It was then that something snapped in her. Ana had in fact been pregnant, many months along, but had suffered a horrible miscarriage as she had her three previous pregnancies. She was beginning to fear that she would never be able to bare a child to her husband and because of this he was discard her. Her fear would change the course of Marc's history and land him in a world that was never meant to be his. Ana hid the child away, nursing him herself, till the morning when she bid farewell to the house and returned to her own home only a hour's walk away.
When she reached her home and her husband Benoit asked about the child in her arms, she simply told him that she had found the boy on the roadside in a basket. Benoit had seen it as strange that a child would be left on its own, after all there was always some one to take a child in. And often those that couldn't would send the babe into the City of Elua and straight to the Night Court. But being Camlach, and a far distance from the center of the nation, he simply shrugged it off. In truth, he was as eager for a child as his young wife and he gave in a believed what she told him. Two years after they took in little Marc things changed at House Liatris and Benoit was transferred to another house to work at, separating House Lamont from House Liatris for a long long time.
The years went by and Marc grew to a handsome young child, Benoit working full time at his new master's home and Ana staying home full time to raise their beaming young son. Marc, though not raised the way a sovereign's son should be raised, but a good life either way. Ana and Benoit were perfect parents to Marc, they taught him to speak a few different languages, Skadic, Alban, and Aragonia. Benoit taught his growing son to ride horses, fight and hunt, Marc grew an aptitude for hunting more then anything. Anything Marc got his hands on he excelled in. He of course learned other things, his mother teaching him to cook, clean and even stitch work which made other young ladies chuckle when they went to market.
Marc's life was perfectly normal until his 13th birthday. Ana grew ill shortly after his natal taking him and his father into a depressive spiral that would last two years. Benoit and Marc fought between each other, the decreasing life of a wife and mother causing tension and heartache between the two. It was the winter of Marc's 16th year that ruined them both, Ana went to bed one cold evening and never woke the next morning.
The pair were devistated, Ana had been the glue that held the family together and they were unsure of what to do with themselves after such an event.
But when Benoit began to go through Ana's things a few months after her death he found something that would come to even greater of a shock then her death. It seemed that Ana had been keeping diary's from the time they had taken in Marc. Benoit was astonished at what he found, her complete confession about what she had done.
A year had passed and at the age of seventeen Marc had began a career in the military and a name for himself in the eyes of his comanders. He rose ranks fast and was given the respect and honor any hard working man could deserve. Benoit in the mean time had been keeping Ana's secret unsure of how to explain it to their only and cherished son. Marc traveled through out the land even managed to visit Aragonia. He was a happy young man, and his father was proud of him. But when he reached the age of nineteen and told his father how he was thinking about settling down, getting married, and even perhaps moving to the City of Elua, well Benoit had to speak up. Benoit handed over the diary to Marc. Marc read the diary over and over trying to comprehend what it was that he was being told. For many weeks he thought, locking himself away from the world, explaining to his commanders that he was in needed of leave. They agreed and Marc traveled to Tiberium where he transferred his post remaining for one year.
At the age of twenty Marc returned to Camlach and went back to his original post, soon after marrying the eldest daughter of his father's employer. She was still young herself but soon after their wedding Veronique was already with child. Veronique would not be given the title of her father's estate but she came with a very large dowry and promise for more to come.
At 28 Marc had let the thoughts in his head sink in, finally sharing with his wife the secret that had sent him to Tiberium. After much talk Marc decided that the proper form of action was to take back what was his to begin with. Speaking with Veronique's father and telling him his story, he agree to help Marc take back his name and title.
For the past ten years Marc has been biding his time, gaining both wealth and prestige from those surrounding him, his father-in-law helping him along the way.
Now at the age of thirty eight Marc has two children, his son Benedict (18) and his daughter Layonette (16).
Just of recent the former Duchesse d'Neige passed away leaving him the Soveriegn Duc of Camlach.
