Name: Odette Lamberte
Age: 22
Race: Siovalese
Gender: Female
Appearance: Odette is a radiant, 120 pound, slender young woman standing at about 5’7 with long dark brown hair that shines in the warmth of the sun as it swishes about and below her small, delicate shoulders. Her expressive blue eyes hold a sense of adventure that one can discern, if one is trained to look for such against Odette’s fair complexion and high graceful cheek bones, that enhance her lively beauty, as does the colour upon the young woman’s supple lips.
History: Odette Lamberte was born unto a Chevalier named Bertram Lamberte of Camlach and a peasant woman named Colette of Siovale. Chevalier Bertram Lamberte served with a fierce loyalty under the banner of the noble Houses of Camlach for many, many years earning funds and the respect of those he served. When war ravaged the lands, he fearlessly fought though was stricken in battle in the right leg, the wound would prove itself worth of battle of a personal nature.
Sadly the wound was to grave and festered, threatening his life and the decision was made for the infected leg to be removed by a chirurgeon, thus ending the honorable service of the Chevalier during his mid-life. From the familiar lands of Camlach, he traveled to Siovale, finding a small, humble manor to restore to its former glory, as well as finding love in the arms of a peasant woman.
Their relationship blossomed in the fair land, no matter the difficulties between them and soon marriage bound them together as man and wife. He learned later that that Colette had within her family line the blood of the Chevalier Ti-Philippe Dumont, an honored hero, to speak of in modest tones in the company of friends and family.
The couple eventually had two children together, a son first whom they named Joseph, and a couple of years later, a daughter they named Odette. When the children were young, their mother became ill during the course of one winter and passed, leaving the children to be raised by their father, having them become knowledgeable in the world under tutelage that was at times strained, as Odette slowly came to understand self-discipline to a degree that would not crease her father’s brow with fret each day, paying heed to her studies…light as they were.
Much mischief did each of the children cause, as children often do, though as Odette grew, more responsibility was placed upon her to help the lovely woman gain confidence in seeing to any task set before her. At times, certain tasks were extremely difficult and thus frustrated her but it was all taken in good stride.
To prepare her for life outside their modest home, how her father had gone on and on about her life’s plans, saying that it was not a life meant for her, a few useful thrusts were shown to her using a small dagger, the dagger given to her on the morning of her departure. Lively with spirit, Odette looked forward to a life of adventure and pleaded with her father not to worry so over her.
It was time for Odette to venture forth under the escort of her father’s friend to the City of Elua, finding boarding and employment in a district known as Night’s Doorstep.
Adventure and a change of pace prompted the woman to negotiate employment in a tavern known as Le Poulet Gauche, gaining weekly ducats that left no allowance for much in life, save for the necessities that a bar wench needed to survive this type of livelihood. With an added bonus of a gifted dagger from her father, which is kept hidden within a secret pocket of her clothing, survival may be the least of any worries for Odette.
