Name: Caraf nớ Heliotrope
Race: D'Angeline
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Appearance: Caraf has long, course blond hair and soft blue-grey eyes. She stands five foot seven and has a figure that curves in all the appropriate places. She has long delicate fingers, those and her smile are her best features.
History: Caraf's mother Deirdre worked as a maid in various noble's house in the City of Elua since she was a young girl. Caraf's father Mateau Tewar comes from a modest family who have a small farm not far outside the City of Elua. Deirdre and Mateau met in the market one day when he was delivering produce and she was on a shopping errand. They fell instantly in love and Mateau spent the next year courting Deirdre until she could be released from her contract, marry him and move to his farm. Deirdre and Mateau shared the kind of all encompassing love that songs are written about. They were married for three years before they had Caraf.
Caraf was raised in a house filled with love and joy, seeing her parents become more dedicated to each other every day. As Caraf grew up, she showed talent in school, music and art but never excelled at any. She did show a way with birds and on her fifth birthday her parents gave her a pair of canaries. When Caraf was four her mother gave birth to a boy, David, and when she was eight another girl, Sara.
While she never showed a special talent, everyone who met Caraf seemed to fall a little in love with her. She had sweet way about her that made everyone she dealt with feel loved and admired. Caraf would often travel with her family into the City while delivering goods from their farm. Her parents always answered their children's questions with honesty so Caraf knew about the Night Court and the adepts there. On Caraf's tenth birthday she asked her parents if they would let her be fostered at the Night Court. Deirdre and Mateau were not altogether surprised, as Caraf had always shown an interest in the Night Court whenever they visited the City. Caraf and her parents met with the Dowayne of Heliotrope who agreed to take Caraf in.
Caraf has blossomed at Heliotrope and grown into a lovely young lady. She had her first patron not long after her sixteenth birthday. Since then she has developed a few very loyal patrons, and is nearly two-thirds done with her marque. Caraf so loves life at Heliotrope that she plans to stay after her marque is made, teaching and continuing her work.
Update
At a party thrown by Evangeline L’Envers, Caraf met and began to fall in love with Elliot L’Envers, the Sovereign Duc of Namarre. Even though she never thought to leave Heliotrope, the deep and true love between her and Elliot made the decision an easy one when Elliot purposed to her. Elliot paid for Caraf’s marque to be finished and she left her House under happy circumstances. She moved in with Elliot and they were married at Elliot’s cousin’s estate in L’Angce in front of all their friends, family, and many other guests. Caraf’s marriage to Elliot bestowed upon her the title of Sovereign Duchesse, taking the honor from his sister Evangeline. The relationship between Caraf and Evangeline is not openly hostile but there is no love there. Caraf lit her candle before the couple was married, and just after the wedding found out she was pregnant. At first the pregnancy was a difficult one marred by much illness and fear of miscarriage. The second trimester brought more peace though and during the honeymoon trip with Elliot to Alba and Aragonia, her pregnancy settled into a normal rhythm. She and Elliot are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child.
Caraf gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Emilia. Emilia was graced with the violet eyes of her L'Envers heritage but other than that she very much resembles Caraf. After the birth of their daughter, Caraf and Elliot's marriage crumbled and the breaking point came when Caraf was informed of Elliot rutting with a strange woman in a dress shop. Taking Emilia, Caraf moved out and the pair was granted a divorce by the crown.
