"All right, let's introduce them at the reception. And if they don't take to each other, have a lockable room handy, we'll just push them in." I told her with a grin. "Oh what fun!"

"I will make sure and have the room ready, even ensure there's water and a few snacks for them in case it takes awhile." I couldn't stop chuckling, it was so wonderful.

"Perfect. I don't know if I'll be able to look Reese full in the face between now and then without bursting out into laughter." I told her, my face starting to hurt from smiling to widely for so long.

"You don't have to live under the same roof with him, like I do with Evangeline," I pointed out, grinning. "I may become grateful that she avoids me."

"I feel like I might as well be." I replied, rolling my eyes. "I spend one night at the de Somerville's and he walks in on me bathing."

I gasped, my eyes going wide.
"Oh no! What happened?"

"He came home very hungover and decided he needed a bath. And then he wouldn't leave when it became very apparent I was using the tub. Got me flustered and off-balanced, asked some very personal question, the usual." I made a face. "I told Gratien after I returned furious, and he asked if he should go get his sword." I threw my hands up in the air. "And that's thinking we met in the bloody hallway!"

"Oh Juliette, I'm so sorry. What an awful thing to have happen in the midst of such a lovely time with Gratien," I said, truly sorry for her. "He sounds just horrid."

"Just to me. He's only mildly horrid to everyone else." I sighed again. "I can put up with it, I just don't want to cause any more fights between the two." I paused, then grinned. "But oh revenge will be sweet."

I burst out in giggles again. "I will make sure there is a strong lock on the door."

I followed her into laughter again. "Don't want them escaping their fates, after all."

"Or anyone trying to rescue them from their fates," I added, laughing.
"Elliot's going to wonder why I start asking about the rooms at the estate with the best locks, I may have to come up with a fantasy to distract him with."

I burst out laughing again. "Enough, enough mercy!" I cried, holding my sides. "You'll kill me with mirth!"

Wiping my eyes, I struggled for composure. I took a couple deep breaths.
"Oh Elua, I don't remember the last time I laughed so much."

"Oh I know, we need to do this more often." I replied with a smile. "If you need to plot any more revenge, just come over and we can laugh ourselves into stitches again." I laughed again, having mostly caught my breath.

"And should you need to plot revenge, my door is always open as well," I said, sighing deeply and still smiling. I felt completely renewed now and like I could face anything that might come up between now and the wedding.

"Oh no, thank you," I said, smiling. "This is the most relaxed I've been since I started planning the wedding. This has been absolutely wonderful."

"When you need out of the craziness again, you are more than welcome here. Even if I'm not home, I'm sure there is something in the library that could catch your fancy." My smile was wide and open.

"I may very well take you up on that," I said, reaching over and squeezing her hand. I was truly lucky to have found a friend like Juliette, I could see many fun times ahead of us.

I laughed a little as a realization hit me. "I believe my mother just won. I did not want to come to the City, but I've been attending social gatherings without embarrassing myself, I have a man courting me, and I'm making friends." I ruefully shook my head with another laugh.

"Oh, but we can't tell anyone about that." I replied, laughing again. "At least, not if it doesn't work. They'll be mad enough at us already." The thought didn't really faze me. "Of course, if it does work, we can take all the credit."

I laughed again until I was holding both sides and gasping all over again.
"We have to stop or I'll be too sore to plan the rest of the wedding," I said, trying to calm myself.

Her words sent another fit of laughter over me, the mental image too much. But I calmed myself down slowly, hugging my sides as my muscles protested. "Elliot would kill me." I said with one last laugh. Right.

"He might," I agreed, grinning and trying hard not to start laughing again. "He pretty devious when he wants to be, he might even think of something worse than death."
