“I feel certain I will,” I replied, her touch sending little bolts through me. “Perhaps when I’ve finished mine you would like to borrow it? I could bring it to Camellia for you.”

My smile grew some, remaining warm as I looked at him. "That would be wonderful, Teo." And it would give me another chance to see you. "You're an incredibly kind person."

“Thank you,” I said, flustered in a rather pleasing way by her compliment. I cast around for something to say, my mind unhelpfully focusing on the perfect curve of her bottom lip and wanting to run my thumb along it.
“It … uh… it was really nice to meet you.”

I was torn between noticing how he looked at me and the joy it brought with it, and the words he spoke that kindled sadness at leaving. "It was nice meeting you too Teo," I said softly. I paused, trying to find the right words. "I'm not expected back to Camellia til nightfall, so I was planning on going to a tavern for something to drink after I bought a book... Ah." I blushed, dropping my gaze from his before returning it. "That is, if you're not busy, you're more than welcome to come."

“I don’t have until nightfall,” I explained so she wouldn’t think I was running out later. “But I do have some extra time now. I’d be honored to accompany you for a drink.”
I smiled and offered her my arm, a bit eager for her touch again.

I was afraid I'd been a bit forward with him, so when he accepted I was very relieved, and very pleased. "I'm very glad for it," I said, giving him a slightly shy, mostly pleasant smile as my hand slipped up to take his arm.

Even through the cloth of my shirt, her touch made my skin heat. “Where shall we go?” I asked as I realized just how incredibly good she smelled.

Camellia?
The thought came to mind before I even realized it, and for a split second I was afraid I'd actually spoken it. "I'm not sure what's around here," I said after a moment, enjoying the way it felt to stroll with him. "Do you have any particular preferences?"
I strayed a little closer, hoping not to overstep my bounds, but wanting to close the distance a little more.

“No, no preferences,” I replied, my pulse speeding as she moved closer. Ah gods, her skin was so perfect, so flawless. I had to stop myself from caressing her cheek just to see if it felt as smooth as it looked.
I swallowed a couple times in an effort to calm myself. “I haven’t been to but one tavern here in the City, so if you have one you favor that is where we’ll go.”

I could feel the color remain in my cheeks as we walked, and I was highly distracted by the way the warmth of his arm radiated through his shirt and into my hand. I wanted to move closer, but I didn't dare; I wasn't quite sure if I was making him uncomfortable or not, but I didn't think so. I just wasn't completely positive.
"Nothing in particular," I said, looking at him with a smile. "Shall we just go into one that looks nice?"

“That sounds like a good plan,” I agreed, smiling at her and then glancing around a bit as we walked. I didn’t see any places right away.

I smiled softly as we walked, looking for buildings that might serve as eateries. For now there was nothing, and I moved in silence a moment, enjoying the weather as well as the man whose arm I was on.
"How is the City suiting you?" I asked after a moment, looking up at him with a pleasant expression. "Apart from your estates, that is."

“Well enough,” I answered, smiling. “Some times are better than others.” Like right now. “But overall I like it here. I miss the open spaces at times, but I have found a few substitutes here.”

“The North Gardens at the Palace is just amazing,” I told her, smiling wide. “Have you ever been?”

"Once, mayhap twice," I said, smiling back at him and enjoying the way he looked. The sun was changing heights, highlighting his features beautifully. "It was spectacular."

“It really is,” I agreed. I didn’t realize it until it happened, but in my surge of happiness on speaking of the gardens, I drew her a little closer to me as we walked. “I love all the variety of foliage they have, it’s a surprise every time I visit.”

I went as he guided me, walking closer to him as we traveled the the half crowded street. My heart fluttered at it, causing a small swirl of butterflies to flicker inside my stomach.
"Oh," I said breathly, then swallowed to get myself under a semblance of control agian. "I was there earlier this spring, before everything began blooming again. It really was pretty though; I can see why you enjoy it the way you do. Do you visit often?"

“Whenever I get the chance, or just need a bit of relief from the press of tall buildings,” I said with a smile.

I smiled at his response, looking down at the ground infront of us for a moment before back up again. "The next time I'm there, I'll look for you then," I responded with a small grin. "Mayhap the fates will be kind."

His gaze caught me like a leaf in the wind, holding me even as we walked down the street together. The smile he wore made me wonder what it would be like to kiss him, though I could never be so bold and brash as to make that move, nor suggest going to Camellia.
"As will I," I responded softly, smiling back before blushing a little and looking away. A small was not too far away, and I made a light gesture of my hand. "Would that place suit?" I asked, my eyes looking back up at his again.

When her gaze met mine, it made it feel as if all the blood in my body rushed to very specific and distracting locations and all sound faded away until all I could hear was the rush of my pulse in my ears.
Then she looked away and the spell was lessened, if not broken. I glanced at the tavern she indicated.
“That looks lovely,” I said, grateful my voice sounded somewhat steady, then began to lead her that way.

"Wonderful," I responded, smiling as we walked towards the tavern. The stone structure was rosy colored and warm, the rocks worn smooth giving it an accepting look rather than more foreboding. The owner obviously did well, to afford such rocks. They weren't sharp or jagged at all.
I, admittedly, rather enjoyed being on Teos arm. He was dashing and handsome, and very kind as well, which seemed to be a rare combination in the City. Of the people I'd encountered, anyway... but mayhap that had something to do with which House I belonged to. I took the opportunity to brush my side lightly against his as we moved into the tavern, absolutely enjoying the brief contact. Once inside, I looked around quickly before back up at him. "Where would you like to sit, Teo?"

The brush of her body against mine made me pleasantly flustered and it took me a moment to find my voice.
“Where ever you’d like,” I replied. “I’m easy to please.”

"The table, there?" I asked after a moment, gesturing to our left, where a table sat on the outside edge, but not so far back that it would be inappropriate. I looked back at him, smiling softly and hoping I hadn't chosen badly.

“Perfect,” I said, smiling as I began to lead her over to it. Reluctantly I released her arm so I could hold her chair for her. “What would you like to drink?”

Such a gentleman, the way he moved and acted. I sat lightly and smoothed my skirts, giving him a smile of thanks as I did. "Tea for me, I think," I answered pleasantly. "Thank you."

“Anything else?” I asked. There didn’t seem to be a lot of servers so I was going to go put in our requests at the bar. Very slightly, I let my finger brush against her hair as I moved from behind her chair, unable to resist it’s silky sheen. “Something to eat perhaps?”

"Oh," I said, not having thought about that. In my slight fluster, I thought I felt something, but dismissed it neigh instantly as nothing. "A bowl of soup, if they have any." I looked up at him, thoroughly enjoying being here with him right now. "Whatever their special is is fine with me. You're really very kind, Teo, I do mean that." I held the book he gave me still, laying it in my lap.
