I was feeling slightly cooped up and I was still healing from the last inch I had marqued. My back was tender and I wasn't looking for anything but a good book to enjoy.

The day was somewhat chilly but sunny as I stepped into Armands, holding a list of books that Voleta had given me to pick up from the library; she was trying to bring up my fortitude for being in public by small, kind increments and I did my best to follow her wishes. In the streets the bustle made things seem busy, no matter how few people were about, but inside the store always seemed private, no matter how crowded, and I smiled slightly as I moved to the reference shelf to search for the written works that had been written for me.

I had been told about a book that I had to read by a patron of mine and decided to check it out, so I took the time to wander over to Armand's and see if there were any copies of it sitting around.
I pulled my lavender cloak up closer to my chin as I ducked inside, wanting to escape the cold and hopelessly bumped into someone standing just inside the door. "Oh, my! Pardon me!" I exclaimed, "Don't mind me, I'm just a little too eager to get out of the cold today." I said, adjusting my cloak. It was delightfully warmer inside and I didn't have to hold it so tightly.

I smiled at the lovely girl and nodded. "Not at all." I said recognizing her. "Xaurora?" I asked looking down at her.

I looked up, somewhat caught off guard at hearing my own name and looked up, "Yes, oh its you, Shan," I said, relieved at seeing a familiar face. "I was half expecting to see a patron, but I'm glad its you." I smiled.

I nodded turning my gaze around the store to see a shy looking boy near by and I smiled softly.
"What are you doing here?" I asked curiously.

"I was seeing if I could find a book that a patron of mine had suggested I read, but I realy don't know much about books and was hoping the shop keeper could help me find it." I said, furrowing my brow and biting my lip in frustrated embarrasment.

A couple adepts talking at the door quietly caught my attention for a moment and then the man smiled at me; flushing slightly I smiled back and waved, steeling my courage as I stepped closer.

I had noticed the other adept in the room when Shan waved at him but hadn't done so myself. I did see him come closer to us and decided to rectify that oversight, so I smiled warmly and waved at him to join us.
Turning a little to encourage him to join us I said, "Hello," with a warm smile.

I smiled slyly at the blushing adept and gestured with my head for him to join.

Smiling shyly I stepped closer, letting some hair fall over one side of my face. "Hello," I replied, smile widening and sweetening at their kindness as I raised a hand to push hair out of my eyes. They both looked like adepts somehow and beautiful in their own ways.

"Hello," I replied smiling at the handsome boy. "I'm Shan no Gentian, and this is Xaurora."

"I'm Lavalle no' Alyssum, it's nice to meet both of you," I said, giving both of them a slight nod. "How are you?"

"Mostly reference but there are a few that my fellow House members requested. We tend to stay close to Alyssum so when one person goes out the others ask them to do small things." My smile widened as I became accustomed to speaking with the Gentian pair.

"Thank you," I replied softly, a slight flush coming to my cheeks. "What is Gentian like? I've never really met an adept from that House before."

"I'm sure it's an accurate opinion- I can't think Gentian would be anything but interesting at the very least." I shifted the books that I'd already been carrying in my arms so I could be more comfortable.

I noticed him shift his books and it occured to me that he might not want to spend the whole day chatting away with Xaurora and I.
"We're not keeping you are we?" I asked smiling politely.

"Its called the Jewel Tree."

Setting the books in my arms on a convenient table I took the book he offered with a shy smile and flipped delicately through the pages. "It looks interesting- I like books as a general rule though."
