As I didn't truly know or was related to anyone being wed, I'd decided days before not to wear the theme colors- instead, blue, a deep but not depressing shade that almost edged into a dusky grey. No one in the house was really sure whether or not Jaiden or Elton would be attending, so I had little concern; Jaiden usually made such a fuss of hating the things one could easily tell when she had to attend and even.
Appropriately dressed with a shirt of fresh, crisp white under my suit and hair tied neatly back I didn't even bother to look myself over- I wasn't representing anyone, only there to see Riva. I'd even hired my own carriage so my schedule wouldn't be dictated by that of House Liatris. I walked out the door of my room without a second thought, attached a neatly written note with a pin and was off. It would be a long ride.
