I left Gervaise's house in some what of a good mood, my mind was going over the evening and I was actually smiling.
It wasn't till I reached my home that the wedding extravaganza hit me and the reality of my life set in. I made my way to my room and sigh going through the letters that had been sent to be.
I flipped through the letters finding nothing of interest. Letters from cousins, a letter from the estate (gossip I'm sure), and letter's from random people I'm sure asking for me to get them invites to the wedding. All of which was positively boorish.
I placed the letters on my desk and sighed crossing my arms and looked at the room. There was a knock at the door and I bid them enter. It was Fleur.
"Your gown is ready." She said demurly holding a gown and moving over to a clothing rack she hung it up. I glanced back at her.
"Thank you Fleur." I said softly.
"I'll leave you then Duchesse." She said quietly. I nodded and she backed out obviously aware of my feelings. When I heard the door click behind her I turned and moved toward the gown.
It was truely a work of art, I had made an appointment with the royal clothier when Elliot had first told me that he and Caraf were getting married. I ran a stray hand over the fabric. It was gorgeous, really, a fine silk from the best sellers from the city. Coloured a soft purple with lavender accents and the smallest hints of gold threading in the hem of the skirt, corset and shoulder's straps. I sighed softly. This was it, this was the end.
