If my skin was not such a deep golden color, one would clearly be able to see the pools of purple that cascaded from my lower eyelid. I had just come off an assignation and it was a long night. I stuffed the soft pink bunny suit under the bench in the coach, out of sight, out of mind, as I changed into more civilized attire. It was an odd night but definitely not one of my weirdest. As blessed Elua said "love as thou wilt," and in the blessed city the phrase was taken to all levels. With the back of my hand I rubbed the left over pink bunny nose paint off my real nose, returning my face to all the right shades and colors.
The coach had just passed the fountain when it gave a jerk followed by a loud crunching noise. The wooden structure lurched, then rested at a side angle as it came to a stop. I waited inside for a moment before the driver rapped on the door and pulled it open.
"my apologies sir, it seems we have hit a loose cobble stone that has cracked the front wheel," the drivers eyes were red with hints of tiredness as it was early.
"is there anything I can do to help?" my voice was soft and resolute. Normally I did not soak unless spoken too. This was a character matter that my Dwayne decided I have upon my arrival to Jasmine house. It "add to your mysterious nature and barbarian features" or so I was told. I might have been a half blooded D'angeline but Elua's blood flowed through my veins and I was hardly unpleasant to behold. As for the barbarian in me, it was docile but due to Jasmine training to been equipped at all methods of pleasure in the bedroom, it had been known to surface when bidden.
"no sir, if you would just exit there is a carpenters shop near by," it was given as a request but by the mans movements, the door swung open, it was a request with a demand of action.
I rose and exited the coach, the sun was just beginning to break over the mighty walls of the city and fill the streets with it's presence. It was spring now and I eyed the skies warily for a midmorning shower that would be lurking about. My feet planted firmly on the cobble stone as I exited the unsteady coach and looked about. Life was started to emerge in the city.
"I'll be waiting at cachette's," I nodded to the drive as I took my leave to the cafe. The sweet smell of morning muffins and tea filled my nose and dampened his palate. The night was long and my stomach remarked on his emptiness with a subdued growl of protest at it's mistreatment. I hurried inside and glanced over the list of selections before placing an order of a wild blueberry mountain tea to be matched with a blueberry muffin. I hand fitted into the deep pockets of the royal blue cloak I wore and came out with a select few coins, patrons tokens, to be placed towards my marque. I was in no hurry to make my marque though, I still have creativity and youth on my side and very much enjoyed my job.
I took a seat near the window as the spring rain began to gentle pelt down from the heavens and coat the window outside with watery streaks and pokeadots. The cobble stone of the streets took in a darker hugh as it was moistened. The tea and muffin arrived and I had to restrain myself from grabbing the muffin and forcing in into my mouth and swallowing in one bite. Delicately and politely I nibbled at it until the pain and malcontent of my stomach soon gave way to peace in my body once more. I sipped my tea as the door opened, a tiny bell sounding that a new costumer had arrived.

I had been exploring as much of the City as I possibly could without getting myself hopelessly lost and turned around. My favorite things to find were the pastry shoppes, the cafés and confectioneries. They were little gems unto themselves, and I adored being able to converse with people, as my easy nature seemed to be quite winning here. This morning was no different; I was exploring what I was told yesterday by a sweet young lady with a small child to be the Artisan's District, and I came upon what looked to be a small café by the name of Cachette. As it had just began to rain, I thought it would be best if I stepped inside to wait out the shower before continuing my exploration.
What an interesting name for a café, I mused as I stepped inside, glancing up with a smile as a tiny bell tolled my arrival and shaking my hair out of my eyes, which I'd simply decided to leave down. I was glad I'd decided to wear a short cloak over my light blue dress, which was slightly spotted with raindrops. The smells inside were myriad and all complimentary to each other, and it was warm and very cozy. I adored it already, and made a mental note of the location so that I could come again with a book to simply enjoy the atmosphere. There was only one other patron, a darkly handsome young man, exotic-looking and alone in the early-morning quiet. I smiled at him easily, never having had trouble making new acquaintances, and ordered a lemon-flavored muffin and some milky, sweet tea that smelled absolutely divine. I chose to sit at the table next to the young man so that, while I didn't disturb him, should he be in the mood for any conversation, we could chat and exchange pleasantries. Meeting new people was always interesting, and I always took the chance to do so if I could.

It was a woman that entered and one i had not seen around the city before. She strolled into the cafe with graceful ease that made me think instantly of nobility. She shook her free falling sandy blonde hair out from about her shoulder, sending the few drops of water that clung to each strand to the floor. She raised her head then and inhaled, much as I had done when I first entered the shop, taking in all the mouth watering sensations. She ordered, though I was not looking, my hearing was decent, a lemon muffin and some tea. A taste for the bitter, I mused to myself and being an adept, wondered if that selection paralleled her desires in the bed chamber. Her voice was soft and smooth, lulling really which made me doubt she was capable of being bitter in the bedroom or in any dimension of life. Maybe she liked the bitter lemon because it was something she could not give. yes...,[/] my mind decided, she was a likely a masochist; always craving the bitter sweetness life had to offer.... I pushed those thoughts from my mind. One could not determine a persons being or sexual desire from their muffin selection. I smiled to myself, even if that was my job. Out of my peripheral vision I saw her glance up and around the store. She took me in with those wide set, round, grey eyes. Grey? The light blue cloak she wore gave them the illusion of being baby blue but no they were indeed colorless.
This time I did watch her out of my dark squinty eyes, as she closed the proximity between us and selected a table near to me. I watched her move, hips moving high under the cloak signaling long legs and sit in a smooth graceful motion definitely confirming that she was nobility of sorts. Which house or of who's line, I did not know. I opened my mouth to speak but then closed it. I raised the tea cup to my thin lips and took a sip. She could be a future patron, and if that was the case best to appear the quiet barbarian. I lowered the cup; looked directly at her and consciously, though appearing not to be so, licked my lips quickly, a trick many adepts use to draw attention to ones mouth, before smiling a half mouth smile and looking away in my silence. I focused my attention back outside the window letting my features settle into a brooding figure, who's pleasant appearance masked a dark soul inside. If she was a masochistic, surely this would call her blood to me, if not and I was wrong, which very well could be likely, I would speak to her but I would give it time first. Always best to judge a patron and get to their deepest desires through their personality before agreeing to bed them. Then again, I'm putting all my eggs in one basket. This lady might never been more than a passing image in my life, or an acquaintance, though I found myself hoping and longing for her to very much become a patron.

The darkly handsome young man looked right at me as I blushed a bit to be caught out at perusing him. He had beautiful, wavy black hair and his skin was bronzed. He looked... Rough, in a very handsome way, and I wondered if he was of the Night Court with his masculine beauty. He licked his lips, which of course drew my attention to them, but I gazed back up into his eyes and returned his half-smile with a full one before he turned away and looked out the window once more. He looked as if he had something on his mind, and so I ventured a soft question to him.
"Something troubling you, messire?" My tone was soft but easy and an encouraging, open smile lit my face. "Not that I'd pry, of course, but sometimes, it's simply nice to chat."

Her voice was like a nightingales song to my ears, sweet, gentle, opening, and inviting. She was properly spoken and address me, unsure if my ranking in the world, but defining hers. I let my gaze stay fixed outside for a second longer letting her voice marinated in the open air between us before I turned my body to an open angle towards hers. The pools of darkness that were my eyes fell heavily on her.
"indeed," I took my last sip of tea before placing the cup and saucer back on the the oak table. "I find it very troubling that a beautiful woman such as yourself is having breakfast alone," I offered her my charmingly lazy smile. I raised my strong jaw and shook my head so that my loose black hair moved from my face as I stood and bowed, "I am Adulio no Jasmine,"I introduced myself before straightening and glancing down at the chair across from her, "may I?" I felt drawn to this soft spoken woman as a moth is drain to the flames. I knew right away we were opposites, but her softness spoke deeply to my rash brashness.

I grinned at his words, charming as they were. A nó Jasmine? An adept, likely. "Please do," I said and gestured openly for him to join me. "It would be my pleasure to share your company and, to ease your troubled mind, I am exploring the City as I have only been here for... Oh, mayhap a week?" I ventured, absentmindedly counting the days before I nodded once more. "Just a bit less," I remanded. "Oh, and my name is Antoinette du Nantes, but I fear I'm a bit short of stature for the name, so you're welcome to call me Toni," I said with a a smile, using the line I so loved to use as I reached my hand out for him to shake it.

I accepted her outstretched and turned it under ducking my head and kissing the back of the creamy skin. As I lowered my head to kiss her hand my hair fell forward and curtained the act. I straightened, before lowering myself into the hard wooden chair at the table. I gazed across the table and into her grey eyes as she rambled a bit about the exact date of her arrival. Antoinette du Nantes, I had heard rumors of that name in the city. The recent contre passed away not too long ago. I bowed my head as I sat.
"well, welcome to the blessed city my lady and do accept my heartfelt sorrows for you loss," my voice was filled with sympathy before it lightened as the subject changed. "so, a week," I smirked "more or less, but your calculations. What all of the city have you seen? Not a great deal I am guessing? Have you found it to your liking?" I learned forward towards her, engaged in the conversation and already plotting out sites I wished to show her if she asked it of me.

A light blush dusted my cheeks as his lips brushed my hand, his breath blowing warmly across my skin. My brows rose as he mentioned the loss of my papa, and I shook my head and smiled a bit sadly.
"My thanks to you, messire Adulio," I said gratefully. "My papa was... A very troubled man, to be sure, and it came as somewhat of a shock. And I haven't seen much of the city really, although I could probably tell you all of the best confectioneries and cafés for the next few blocks," I said and laughed a bit. "Have you any ideas of things I should see? I'm always open to suggestions."

I smiled this time, full on. "they say the best way to get to know a place is by the food it serves," I nodded as I spoke and let my mind wondered over all of the food shops and cafes I know along this strip and what delicacies she might have tasted.
"the city square is of course a must, the artist set up open shops and show off their various skills. Many musicians also wander about the area playing music so wonderful it is hard not to dance. The valley, if you have coin for a horse and do not fear riding, should be filled with lavender at this time and the sight of never ending fields of purple are mesmerizing. The temples of Elua and his Companions are always a delight if you have an offering to be made or prays that need to be heard. There is the vineyards, and the players corner though I am not sure which tale they are currently performing and of course the night court."
In my mind I mapped out a perfect weekend for her as I shared with her some of the simple highlights of the city. The bell on the door chimed again and I saw my driver enter. Of course, I thought to myself. I stood and bowed, "please excuse me for a second." I headed towards him.
"the wheel is fixed sir, we can return unto Jasmine house now, the Dwayne is expecting you, word has been sent relaying the tale of your late arrival," my driver nodded and looked me squarely in the eyes.
"this is very well then and quick," I glanced back over my shoulder with much heartache and regret, "give me one moment and I shall meet you at the carriage." I replied before turning back to Toni.
"I fear you must excuse me for this day as I have to return unto Jasmine house, rest is much needed from my last nights adventures. If you are willing, call upon me tomorrow and I will show you the city?"

I was overwhelmed at Adulio's words, so many things to see and do here in the City! Eisheth above. I was sure I looked rather uncouth as he spoke, my eyes widened and my lips parted. But I schooled my features a bit more so that I did not seem an utter bumpkin, and nodded while he went to confer with a man. I overheard "Jasmine House" and "late arrival". He must have had a contract last night, I thought to myself as he spoke with the man.
As he returned to my table, I could tell he would be taking his leave. But I smiled up at him as he spoke, and nodded happily. "Of course, I would love for you to show me the city!" I said excitedly. "At what time shall I arrive to Jasmine House?" Gods, and what will I wear? Oh, I am such a fluff, I laughed inwardly as I waited for his answer, a small snort escaping me at my silliness. I'd had plenty of beautiful gowns made; I would simply pick one and be happy with it.

The bell rung once more as the driver abscond the café, the noise, however, did not break my gaze into her steely eyes. Childlike excitement filled her features as she answered my questions. I felt a smile adorn my own face at her words and clear obvious pleasure at my offer. Now to convince the Dwayne to permit me to do so without be contracted, I thought to myself already deliberating ways to plea my case for the Comtesse du Nantes. The light tone of her velvety voice pierced my conscience and brought my mind back to the here and now. I inclined my head as I answered her.
“That is your call. Think of what options I have laid before you. Do any spike your interest more so than others? It is far too much to see in one day but we might manage two or three sites.”
With little time to spare, as I knew I was being waited on, I gathered my empty tea cup from the table and returned it to the owner and issued her my deepest gratitude and compliments on her tea. I rounded upon Toni once more taking in her features. My eyes, mechanically sought her parted lips first, and took note of their soft rose color, wan against the crimson of a real rose in comparison but desirous anyways. They then traces up her pert nose and sought the black pupils of her wide set, doe like, eyes.

"I have no preference, and I will surely call on you tomorrow morning, likely early if you have no qualms about it," I responded to him with another easy smile as he came back round. "You likely know where the best places are to begin, and so I trust your judgement implicitly. Do I... Oh, never mind," I said, waving my hand. "I know you must leave, I'll ask you tomorrow when we can talk more in-depth."
I stood and curtsied, my tea and muffin all but gone, and glanced out the window. It was still drizzling, and so I thought maybe if I hurried fast enough, I wouldn't get too soaked. "It was wonderful to meet you, and do try to stay dry as you make your way to Jasmine House. I am hoping I do not get too waterlogged myself on my way home!" Even if I did, though, I didn't mind it too much. The air was warm and humid, and the rain wasn't the cold, driving sort as much as a soft pitter-patter. At least I wouldn't freeze or catch my death.

I started plotting and planning, mentally of course, a rough outline of what tomorrow will entail. As she finished speaking I bowed to her once more then departed, the bell ringing out my less than dramatic exit. With a swift ease, I made my way back to the coach with the newly repaired wheel and climbed inside. It took off for once to the Jasmine House.
Home I thought upon arrival as I exited and headed indoors. I made my report to the Dwayne that I was in fact home safety before winding my way up the stairs and retiring to my bedchamber. I pulled the curtains shut, casting all evidence that it was now midmorning from the room before falling into a spotty sleep. For whom normally sleeps during the night, the body is often unease to the change in pattern and giving in to sleep when it knows it should be awake.
After a good four hour rest bit, I bathed and dressed in fine deep blue attire and headed down to the kitchen for a late afternoon lunch. It was served to me by the cook of the Dwayne house, Anna Maria. She dipped her head her cheeks blushing knowing why I ate at such a late hour. Though she worked in the Night Court, and was well aware of that in which I did, it still colored her cheeks to think on it. She was fairly new still and that would change in time, I thought to myself as I spooned the hot soup into my mouth and felt it slide easily down my throat. The Dwayne entered just as I was about to finish and we passed bath and forth a few words before I explained my plans for tomorrow.
“I had the pleasure of meeting the Comtresse Antoinette du Nantes today while we were delayed on our travels home,” I said before explaining The Comtresse’s desire for me to travel with her tomorrow, “It is not an assignation but I feel it will lead to one and if I am correct, she has not been to any of the Night Court Houses yet. Would bring about a new customer.” I planted the seed and let it grow and blossom. By the end of the conversation all was in agreement and I was dismissed to take care of my daily chores about the house.
As I worked I crafted an itinerary in my mind of what would be to come. If she came early enough, and was dressed accordingly, I would go to the stables nearby and take lean of two mounts and set us off to see the sunrise over the fields of Lavender. Then we could make our way to the Artisans district and cast our eyes upon the talent that shone there before retiring the evening with a three course meal at the vineyard.
As my chores were finished and I was able to retire to my bedchamber after supper, I drifted off to sleep thinking of Antoinette du Nantes, her sandy blond hair, grey scale eyes, smooth creamy skin, and quiet voice. I will admit my mind wandered a bit further to recall the hidden long legs and her ample breast both concealed under the light blue cloak. I arose from my sleep slightly after the sun has arisen itself. I bathed and dressed myself in all black attire, which gave my eyes a wild and uncontrolled manner about them. I braided the front two strands near the sides of my face back and pinned them their so it would stay out of my face all day no matter what that came to. I made my way down and found myself pacing back and forth in front of the main door, eagerly awaiting the Comtresse’s arrival.
“Comtresse Antoinette du Nantes,” I bowed when she exited her carriage and made her way towards me, “Jasmine house welcomes you. Would you like to come in and take a look about? Or shall we head off on our days adventure?”

All the night before I'd thought of Adulio, and I'd risen quite early to break my fast and bathe, all the while remembering his beautiful eyes and dark, rich skin. Now, stepping out of my carriage and seeing him moving back and forth before he caught sight of me, I smiled happily at him. I'd chosen a gown of red, but rather light so it almost was iridescent in the correct lighting. I'd pinned the top half of my hair up but let the bottom half flow freely and it brushed my bare shoulders. It was a nice warm spring day, and I was delighted that the rain had gone.
"Hello, Adulio!" I exclaimed joyfully, happy to be able to spend time with him, glad of the beautiful weather, and excited for the sights we would see. "Mayhap when we come back at the end of our day you could give me a tour? I'm excited to see what you have to show me around the City! I hope you slept well?"

Excitement rolls off her every word as each sentence she spoke, surely ended with an exclamation mark. I smiled as I offered her my arm and headed back towards her carriage. Instead of boarding her carriage we walked around it. The sun was already up but not too far, no, we wouldn’t be watching a sun rise, but still the day was early and the artisan’s district would not be alive and bubbling just yet and therefore, there was no need to rush over there. Out of the side of my vision I glance at her attire and deemed it acceptable riding attire.
“I hope you do not mind headed for a short morning ride,” I inquired, giving her the chance to speak up in protest before we reached the stables. “As to answer your earlier questions I rested peacefully and I pray to Elua you did the same?”
The morning was cool, and the wind made the hair on my arms stand up where it was exposed. It would warm up soon enough. We took the path that slopped down the hill towards the stables. Inside Anders, the stable boy, stood waiting with two fine horses.
“Good morning Anders, this is the Comtesse du Nantes,” I introduced them. “Good Morning my Lady,” he replied in a welcome greeting sweeping low in a bow fit for royalty as his face flushed with color.
The ladies horse was a roan gelding with a sweet easy going temper that went by the name of Pierre and my horse was the lovely bay mare that I was accustomed to riding for pleasure, Juliet or Jet as I called her. I left Anders with Jet as I took the reins for Pierre and led him over to the mounting block. I patted the horse’s neck and waited for Toni to mount.
“And this my Lady Comtesse is Pierre,” I waited for her to mouth then helped her foot find the stirrup before taking hold of Jet’s reins and kicking my leg over her backside and mounting into the saddle with a touch of grace.
“Easy girl,” I cooked to her as she pranced in place at the feel of my weight on her and the anticipation of what was to come. We lead the horses out of the back of the stable and down into the rolling green valley of hills. The end of the path opened to an overlook of the purple following valleys of lavender. As the horses walked, I kept a hold on jet’s reins holding her back as she was normally a led horse so that I could walk side by side with Toni.
“Did you think of anything special you wished to see today? Or are you handing over all claims and ideas for this day to me and resigning yourself in my care and imagination?” My eyes sparkled as a smile curled at my lips, my hips rolled slightly from side to side as jet walked down the descending hill.

"Oh, I would love to ride!" I exclaimed while we walked, not having been able to sit a horse since arriving in the City. I missed the stables back in Eisande, and my sweet horse had had an infection in her hoof and so I was loathe to take her from home and subject her to any stress, and so she stayed home to heal. I prayed for word of her safe recovery. Pushing the thoughts of my horse out of my mind, I curtsied and smiled to the young man, Anders, and responded in kind as we were introduced. "Good morning, Anders! I hope it finds you well," I said good-naturedly.
The horses were beautiful and as Adulio helped me up onto my mount, I cooed into his ear. "Good morning, Pierre! My thanks for allowing me the honor of riding today," I murmured softly, watching his ears move and a soft whinny sound from him. I giggled softly and rubbed his neck while Adulio mounted his horse, who pranced excitedly. I grinned over at him, watching him settle her down. He had a way with females, it seemed.
"I cannot think of anything, as I've not been here long enough to hear of anything other than what you've said, really, and therefore I do so hand over all claims and ideas for this day to you and resign myself to your care and imagination," I said with another giggle, gazing over at him. He sat a horse well, and looked very handsome as he moved sinuously with his mount. Fleetingly, I wondered how his hips would look moving that way with no breeches to cover them, and my eyes widened as a bright red flush overtook my cheeks. Recovering as best I could, I smiled and looked forward under the pretense of making sure Pierre wasn't veering off into the grass. Eisheth above, where in the gods' names did that come from?!

Toni’s answer was exactly what I had been expecting. Out of the corner of my eyes it seemed her cheeks flushed with color, but with her gaze looked forward, it was hard to tell. I went to turn my head but as I did I felt Jet stumble and my body shift forward slightly, before I was able to pull my upper body and hands backwards to balance her out. She righted herself before continuing on. It was a small mishap, no more than a person tripping over their own foot but it was enough to pull my attention away from Toni.
“Well I hope today and my plans for you, have you smiling the whole day though as that indeed is my master plan,” I said with a self-assured tone. I grinned as the sun kissed out faces as the air around us started to warm. It would not be a hot day, but it would definitely be a warm one. Up ahead I saw where two smaller hills came together in a small valley and knew that was where the overlook lay. Jet, once again, started to prance under me as me approached. I smirked.
“My Lady Juliet here is often fond of kicking up dirt in the valley,” I explained my horse’s excited response to the habitat she was in. “The valley lies just there,” I said nodding toward as we close proximity to the gap. As we reached it and stopped the horses in front of the overlook, as far as the eye could see up and down hills and in the valley alike was lavender. Purple reigned over this area as far as the eye could see.
“And this is Terre D’Ang’s Lavender fields Comtesse.” At this point ant person would be looking over the endless field. I however, who have seen them most my preteen years knew them well and found pleasure in watching the faces of those who had never seen them before. I studied Toni’s face as she gazed upon the fields as we nudges out horses forward to enter them, both animal and human alike was swarmed in the vast violet color and the sweet scent it carried.

I gasped softly as Jet stumbled a bit, her long legs tripping up on a cobblestone or some such. Adulio handled her expertly, automatically moving to correct his balance so that she could regain hers. I was impressed. As he spoke, I glanced over at him, the blush finally fading from my cheeks. "That is by far the sweetest master plan I've yet to hear, Adulio. I hope I'm not interrupting something important, by the way; I appreciate you taking time out of your... day to...." I trailed off as we approached the lavender fields. My jaw dropped and my eyes widened, and I knew immediately that this would be my favorite place in the entire city. Lavender had always been my favorite scent and flower, and to see the entire field awash in hues of purple almost brought tears to my eyes.
"Oh... Adulio, it's so amazing," I murmured as we moved forward, inhaling appreciatively. "I don't know that I've ever seen something so beautiful!"

She unhinged her jaw and widened her eyes to the size of saucer plates. It was a most unattractive look for her, like a snake about to devour its prey but it brought me a great deal of amusement; after all this was the reaction I had been hoping for. We walked our mounts through the valley and up the train on the other side. This trail circled the top ridge overlooking the valley until it rejoined with the path we had taken down.
“I am glad you find it to your liking my Lady. It is indeed quite a sight and smell,” I smiled to myself and lead back to overlook the endless rolling waves of lavender that stretched out before our eyes until our eyes could not see anymore. The sun was fully planet in the sky now; not near noon, but definitely around 10 and for sure the artisan’s district would be buzzing with life. The wind was thinner and wrapped itself about us as if it were ribbons caressing our skin and then gone before one could take too much pleasure it their presence. I closed my legs on Jet’s side, nudging her forward. She gave her head a toss and whinnied in reply before trotting up the small slope that we had descended.
“Well that is exciting as a flower can be…. In the wild,” my eyes glittered with untold stories of bedroom flowers and pleasures that they could create. “It’s time we return our horses and head into the Artisan’s district for some food, culture, and fun!” I exclaimed as Toni’s horse caught up beside my own as we exited the valley and headed back towards the stable and as all horses do, both added a quickened prance to their step as they neared home.

I closed my mouth as I likely looked rather uncouth with it hanging agape, and grinned over at Adulio as he spoke. The breeze lifted my hair a bit, winding around me comfortably. Our mounts seemed to move in tandem, and mine followed his companionably as he continued his words. His talk of flowers, that look in his eye sent a bit of a tingle through me but, not wanting to read too deeply into things, I simply brushed it off and laughed at his exclamation.
"You sound quite excited, Adulio," I said with a teasing tone to my voice, a smile on my face. "Should I be worried? I've never met an adept before you, much less spent any time with them!"

I glanced over in her direction knowing well enough that Jet knew the way home without any guidance.
"guess you'll be needing to be spending more time about the night courts then. We have many houses, one or more will be to your liking I am sure" I smiled as we reentered the stables. I dismounting swinging a leg easily over Jet's rump before sliding to the floor. I handed the reins to Anders before helping Toni down, being very cautious where I placed my hands.
"so, what do you know about the night court? And which pleasure do you seek in the bedchamber? It might be rude to ask but I can only point you in the right direction if I know which direction I need to point," I paused and licked my lips "Jasmine house is very unstructured in our services..." I added just to throw it out there.
Anders returned and took Jet's lead as I led Toni out the stable doors and into the sunlight and down a pay towards the artisan district.

I was so shocked by the question he asked that I simply stopped and immediately began thinking about it.
"I know only what I've read in books. You know," I mused thoughtfully, "I'm not sure what pleasure I seek... I've only ever been with one boy and that ended...." I faltered here, unsure of how to say it. "Not so well," I finally finished. "And so I'd guess I would prefer something quite simple at first, with someone sweet and open. Sort of like you," I said as I smiled openly over at him while we walked, my arm resting on his and looped around his elbow.

A smile slide cross my face as she spoke, my ears picking up the words the she did not say about the not so happy ending. In my mind I figured he either cheated on her, did not love her back, or was only after her money and title. All just speculations but love came in many different forms and not all of them kind on the heart. I looked over her fine young features; young reckless love I decided. I pressed my lips together and nodded in understanding. Love was something I have never been in myself. I loved all of my patrons a little, I loved those who lived with me in the jasmine house, and I love Elua, but I have never completely, truly, loved another. I flushed a tad at her remark on requesting me. I straightened a little taking pride in the compliment as I strolled beside her.
"simple, nice, sweet," like me I finished her words in my head. I was nothing of the sort. I was "barbaric" dark, mysterious, closed off, unreachable, tough skin, quiet and brooding. Yes, with my adept training I could be anything I set my mind to but none if the things she listed were my true nature. I nodded and turned to favor her with a charming smile. "I would love nothing more. Mayhap we will draw up a contract upon our return," I left the sentence open for her to retort on if she so pleased.
The sound of music and laughter, as well as chattering voices, reached our ears outside of the artisans district. The streets were packed with people in all colors as music circled around, and the air was scented with pallet pleasing foods.

I blushed a bit at his talk of a contract, but found to my surprise that I quite liked the thought of that. After all, I was d'Angeline; why shouldn't I experience the Night Court? I glanced up to Adulio's face as I quietly said, "If you are agreeable, I would like that."
Glancing around, my eyes widened a bit at the sight before me. My jaw stayed hinged, luckily, so that I did not look the utter fool. All the same, though, I was excited at the prospect of exploring this loud, brightly-colored area. A girlish smile lit my features and my eyes sparkled.
