"I love it too," I whispered, flushing again as we walked through the house, though not the way I'd hoped we would earlier in the evening. This was very nice as well though- and considerably more relaxed, sweeter too.

We walked to the door, where we paused. "Thank you Lessa, for this night. And I will see you soon again. I swear," I murmured, bringing her hand to my lips for one last kiss. I wasn't sure my self control was up for the glorious task of her lips.

His words made a pleasant tingle run through my body and I couldn't help but watch his lips as they brushed my hand, fighting down a moment of intense desire and need. "Perhaps I can come and visit you if it's not an imposition," I managed.

I smiled, pleased by the idea. "I will like that, very much. Anytime Lessa," I said, slowly letting go and making myself step away as I tried to control my body's response to the look in her eye. Gods she was beautiful, how I wanted to worship her.

He stepped back, but it seemed reluctant- or was that my wishful thinking? "Thank you," I replied with a smile of my own, then leaned up and gave him a brief, wistful kiss of parting against his cheek. "Then good night- and a thousand more, if my words will make any difference in the god's eyes in that regard."

My hand came up without thought to touch her cheek as her lips caressed my skin. "Good night Lessa," I whispered before my hand dropped away and I walked out of her home. If I had stayed a moment longer, I don't think I could have left.
The grooms seemed surprised to see me, I think they assumed that I was spending the night. But I smiled to them good-naturedly before swinging up on my mount and riding off. I glanced back just once before I made myself look forward in the direction of home. It was going to feel like ages until the next time I saw her.

His hand was warm on my cheek and I smiled as he walked away, then closed the door softly as I watched him walk toward the stables. I needed to steady my nerves, a task made much easier without his presence but also more painful in some sense. With a deep breath I sought to ease the throbbing of the blood in my veins and only marginally succeeded. It was likely just time for me to get some sleep.
