I wandered down Night's Doorstep looking for an entertaining spot to spend the afternoon when I almost passed by the Adept's Inn. Turning to enter the establishment I decided that if anything this was certainly the place I'd find something, or someone, to entertain myself with.
The atmosphere was exactly to my liking and feeling very pleased with myself I walked up to the bar to get myself a drink.

Checking the purse I had tied to my belt I made my way to the Adept's Inn, hoping to catch a bit of luck in an afternoon's game of chance. Upon entering I found the room already full with a variety of customers and smiled, luck it seemed was with me. With a crowd like this I was almost certain I'd be walking out of the door later that night with a much heavier purse.
Making my way through the crowd to the bar I ordered a drink, turning to look back at the room while I thought for a moment and taking note of the games already being played in the room.

I sat enjoying my drink for several minutes before anyone caught my attention. He came right up to the bar, ordered a drink and then sat back to watch the crowd, a rather calculating look crossing his face.
My curiosity sparked I picked up my drink and approached him, "Hello there," I said, looking up at him and hoping to catch his attention from whatever it was he was thinking about.

I saw a few tables dedicated to cards and another to a rowdy drinking game, of all things and thought it possible to start my own game of dice once I had a drink or two when I heard a sweet voice speak up near me. Turning to see who it was that said hello I smiled, "Hello," I replied, pleased to see the face of a lovely young lady looking at me.
One look told me she was an adept, about my age give or take and certainly not of Bryony, give me a sentence or two and I could tell you for sure where she was from, "How is your evening treating you?" I asked conversationally, turning to thank the barkeep when he passed me my drink.

"Quite nicely, actually." I replied, a smile on my lips as I looked him up and down, definity a nice looker, I thought, hoping he'd be entertaining enough, his voice was light and engaging and I already found myself warming to him.
He could be an adept, I wasn't sure though, his confidant demeanor was something I didn't see very often so even if he was he probably wouldn't be from my house. "How about yourself? A good day I take it?" I asked, not sure how to address him yet.
