My gown had been chosen and delivered and, excited as always, I rushed to check it- and put it on, just to make sure. Satin the color of amythyst covered me, the skirt long and flowing with just the slightest amount of volume- it clung to m hips but then flared with a slight train. For the top I'd decided to be slightly more daring; body-conforming, with a moderately high neckline that rested above my cleavage in a straight line, cap sleeves- and a back that dipped, covered in no more than laces of ribbon that zig-zagged across the exposed skin. A wrap of matching fabric embroidered with doves of gold to match the edging of the gown completed the ensemble and I swirled before the mirror, a little amazed at my reflection. Gold jewelry, of course...and now to figure out something to do with my hair...
