[Suzette nó Orchis]

I waited patiently as she removed the sash of her robe and then revealed her marque. Without thinking, my hand immediately pressed to her back, caressing the shape of the stem lightly, "It is quite beautiful. Thank you for showing me.." I spoke more seriously than I had since we met.

[Shona Tertignan]

Her touch was pleasant and unsettling, and troubled, I brought my robe back up.

“Thank you,” I said as I closed my robes once more. “And which house am I, now?”

[Suzette nó Orchis]

I moved my hand back as she moved her robe back up. I shook my head to rid my mind of the seductive images of her back, "Oh- yes! Bryony house. I would have never guessed. I have only met a few Bryony house members and they seem far more.....stern than others."

I smiled at her, "I hope that my back will look as lovely as yours."

“House Bryony can be joyful – you have to accept to play their games, though,” I replied, shrugging.

“Your back will be unique,” I added serenely. “And the marque of Orchis will adorn it in no time, certainly.”

[Suzette nó Orchis]

I grinned at her, "I do enjoy games, but I do not like playing with those who do not play fair. It seems as if Bryony tends to have some unfair advantage that I can not quite place... Were I more intellectual, I might attempt to figure it out.." I shrug my shoulders, showing that it wasn't something that I wished to pursue.

"I am not too far off from completing my marque. I am thinking of staying at Orchis House," I added.

[Shona Tertignan]

“Changing houses is hardly a wise move,” I agreed, and I decided to ignore her comment about Bryony – one day, I'd send her to Fisher, perhaps. Let them deal with it between adepts – I was done with those games.

“I heard of a girl who once left Orchis, and went to Valerian – a rumor on Mont-Nuit might be all it was. They said she lost a full year of service in the process.”

[Suzette nó Orchis]

I listened quietly to her advice, taking it to heart because I understood that she had far more experience than I. "I think Orchis is the best house for me, I do not really fit in anywhere else. Or perhaps none of the other houses can handle me..." I giggled softly and shrugged my shoulders.

[Shona Tertignan]

“I think you are right where you belong,” I replied, chuckling. “Though Jasmine might have been a fun place for you as well, I think Orchis would be distraught if you were to depart. No, finish what you started, Suzette. Then you can go on to other things as you wish, with a greater feeling of accomplishment.”

[Suzette nó Orchis]

I hugged her in response to her flattery, "Thank you, Shona. I only hope that I bring a fine reputation to Orchis. Are you sure you do not wish to try on some of the items..? You could just model them for me rather than walking about the store...."

My hand touched her arm lightly.

[Shona Tertignan]

I was suddenly hugged, and though it was nice to have another body against mine, it was also unexpected (though in hindsight, it shouldn't have been a surprise), and I blinked a bit before I returned it and then pat Suzette on the back, before I gently disentangled myself.

“Ah, but that time is over,” I said with a small smile. “There is decorum for me to uphold now, sweetheart.”

I nodded, accepting her feelings on it, "I will go get changed back into my gown, then.." I made my way to the dressing room, and began removing the outfit and then putting on the gown that I had worn when I first came into the shop. I had enjoyed my time here, but it looked as if I needed to move on to other things.
