I was looking for something to distract me from the sight of a half Skaldi mourning deceased relatives that he has never met. I wanted to cheer him up, but he dismissed me with a wave of his hand, and one does not argue with a Skaldi. I quickly found myself in the Artisan's district and I came upon a shop that seemed to have the most amazing looking outfits in their windows. I stopped at one and admired the style, color and fabric. It looked like a fun store to explore, but I was not anxious do the exploration by myself. I looked around to see if there was someone I could meet and explore with.

I was having a hard time staying put on my days off – perhaps it was the old habits returning, I who prowled Night's Doorstep so very often, before I was a cleric, and no longer an adept. I forced myself away from it, though, wandering instead the Artisan's district, which I was noticing had grown quite a bit in my year away.
A young woman was prancing about – bouncing, almost, and I observed her with an amused smile, my poster still decorous in the folds of my brown robes, though my hair loose, and the apple blossom on my ear probably lessened my apparently dour look.

My eyes widened a bit when I saw someone I had never met before. I walked toward her, "Good day to you priestess. I'm Suzette nó Orchis, would you be willing to explore with me?" I offered my hand to her as a mischevious grin came to my lips.

If she'd been a sprite out of a bottle, she wouldn't have been less excited or excitable, and I chuckled. Exploring indeed. Though I could see myself wondering what lay between her slim thighs....
“That's quite straightforward, Suzette no Orchis. Does your sweet Dowayne support this particular process?” I chuckled. “I didn't think I had the brand of a patron written over my head...”
I looked into the window, then, pretending to seek out said brand.

I could tell by the way she looked at me that she took my words for more than that. I laughed along with her, grinning as she looked into the glass of the shop. I stood beside her, lightly pressing my body against hers, "I was talking about in there...." I pressed my finger into the glass, pointing inside the shop.
"I've heard that there are a lot of fun items in there, and I can't play dress up by myself..." I gave her a obvious pout, inadvertantly pressing my chest up a little at the same time. "It could be a lot of fun...." I spoke in a sweet tone, eager to lure her inside.

Dress up or dress down? I grinned wolfishly, amused. “Certainly you don't expect a respectable member of Anael's clergy to play dress up, do you?” I chuckled, and gave her a meaningful look.
“Though I do wonder what you might look like in that,” I added after a cursory look inside the shop. I was pointing to a harlequino's suit, complete with checkers and Serenissiman mask.

I grinned at her and then pouted my lips again, "Priestess don't have to be serious about everything... The animals and plants will still be there when you get back." My fingers played with hers, brushing against them while I looked into her eyes.
I looked at the outfit that was hanging in the window. My hands clasped hers and I lifted it to my lips, "I'll wear whatever you want me to....IF..you join me inside..." I laid a light kiss on her hand and then gave her a gentle tug towards the door. I gently let go of her hand, waving her towards me as I backed towards the door. Then I opened it and disapeared inside, hoping that my little game was well recieved.

Oh, the vixen! I chuckled, and after making a show of not going inside and wandering off, I eventually wandered in, looking my dourest, though it was yet more of a game.
I nodded solemnly to the clerk, and gave Suzette a significant look, daring her to try on the harlequin suit.

I wondered if she would join me in the shop, and I was thankful when I saw her come in. I turned to the clerk, "May I try on the harlequin outfit? I was also hoping to model some other items too if that is permissible..?"
With the clerk's permission, I made my way to the window and removed the outfits. Then I began heading toward the back room, I turned around and gave a flirtatious smile to the priestess, "You are welcome to help me change if you want.." I gave her a wink before I made my way into the changing room.

I observed the scene with secret amusement, quirking an eyebrow up both at the adept and the clerk, and again, at her, after her tease. There was a time when I would have taken the opportunity indeed – but I was wearing the robes, and it would not have done to start such rumors.
Instead, I waited, filling with my imagination the gap that the pretty adept had opened in my desire, and examining, with some amusement, a hat with high and very bright pink feathers.

I was a little disappointed that the Priestess didn't follow me inside, but I wasn't completely surprised though. I slipped my gown up and over my head and then stepped into the costume. It wasn't very flattering, but that didn't bother me much. I put on the hat, and then made my way out of the dressing room. I walked in a exaggerated fashion, swinging my arms and selling the costume. I danced a little and then presented my arms in a classic way.
"What do you think?" I asked her with a wide grin on my face.

I was in the process of asking the clerk about prices for a Serenissiman mask which I found rather amusing, when Suzette scampered out of the dressing room, laughing and dancing. I grinned, noting how the costume revealed her breasts, her buttocks, her thighs, even the little line of her sex. It was nigh indecent, and I found it slightly arousing, though I had to wonder how much of my meager allowance could go to an assignation.
“Lovely,” I replied after a long, and rather explicit inspection. “You should reserve it for the next Midwinter Masque, if it is appropriate.”

I settled into a normal pose when she told me that it looked good on me and that I should consider purchasing it for the Midwinter Masque. I looked at myself critically in the mirror, "That is a good idea, but I'm not sure what Orchis theme will be this year. Unity is important to my Dowayne...."
I touched the hat on my head and began playing with it, moving it to the side more, seeing how the feather looked if I turned the hat another way. Then I slid my hand down my curvy form, moving it around on breast and then down my waist and over my hip.
I walked to stand next to her at the counter, "I want to try something else on..." I moved my hips a little back and forth as if I was anxious for her to select something for me.

“As it should be,” I replied, and I remembered with a sting which I ignored, the hazy circumstances of my departure from Bryony. “Now now, what should we pick...?” I chuckled, and moving to the racks, I looked at various possibilities, until I picked one which I found amusing enough. “And this one?”

I thought the priestess was planning on asking the clerk a question, but since she didn't continue her conversation with the clerk, I followed her to the racks of various clothes.
I watched as she began looking through various costumes, "How long have you been a priestess?" I asked quietly. I looked at the item that she had picked, and my fingers moved along the fabric, "I like the way it feels..."

“It may be flattering,” I replied, and shrugging, I replied, “A priestess,” I said, “barely few weeks. I just returned from my year of service.” And pausing, eyes alight, I replied, “It was only a trade, one service for another, really.”

I picked up the outfit and put it to my form. I cocked my head slightly when she said she was exchanging one service for another, "What was the other service?" My eyes looked over her face with a easy wonder.

“As it's eather that or being a Cassiline,” I replied, chuckling, “I'll give you little credit for it – but more, if you guess my house.”
I was amusing myself with this – she was a bit like an exciteable puppy, I noticed. Bouncy and joyful, and though she was endearing, she might as well be exhausting eventually, to some.

Suzi put a finger to her chin and her eyes squinted a little, "Since I have only your appearance to go on, I must make a selection based on my first impression. You seem compassionate... certainly not shy, and yet you seem to also have a inner strength. I am going to guess Balm, Jasmine or Cereus....?" She cocked her head slightly as she waited to see if she was right.

I raised my eyebrows at her, surprised that I'd be pegged for Balm or Jasmine. I certainly had no foreign or exotic feature to sort me into Jasmine, and the thought of Balm... amused me. I was never quite the healer, alas.
I smirked, a touch. “You're not doing very well, I'm afraid,” I replied. “Try again, hm? Now, you have weeded out four of the thirteen houses, counting Orchis, of course. Which of the nine would have had me in their ranks?”

I blinked when she told me that she wasn't from either of those. That was surprising! I began thinking out loud, this time, looking at her to see if I was in the right direction, "Hmm...I think I could also eliminate Alyssum house..and you don't strike me as someone from Dahlia or Gentian...I'd be surprised if you were from Mandrake or Valerian, but stranger things have happened... I'm going to guess....Camellia or Heliotrope."
My eyes searched her silently to see if she had any reaction toward the other houses I had made a guess.

I shook my head, tilting it. Had I changed so much, that I no longer bore the air of my house? I did miss my satchel full of games, suddenly.
“I'm afraid not,” I replied simply.

She didn't seem to be giving anything away. Even when I spoke of houses that I was eliminating. I couldn't tell if I was right at eliminating them or not. Her facial expression didn't show anything at all! It frustrated me a bit, but I was still excited about the challenge. I decided to go ahead and try a house that I had eliminated vocally, since she held no expression that was directing me in one way or another, "Then I suppose I will have to change the houses that I eliminated...and I will go with....Mandrake." My eyes searched her face once more, looking for any kind of expression that might give me a hint toward how close or far I may be.

Elua, I'd found a pearl.
I laughed, and laughed, and laughed, until a little tear pearled at the corner of my eye.
“Surely you jest,” I said at last. “And ere you give up, let me show you my marque, since it's so hard to guess.”

She was still amusing – if I was one whose house was hard to pin, hers was written all over her face.
“To the changing room, please,” I said with a smirk of my own, before I headed that way.

In the changing room, I undid the sash of my robe, removed the overcoat, and having done all that, I finally was able to pull down my robe enough to show Suzette my fully marqued back.
I looked at her over my shoulder, quirking an eyebrow.
“Well?”
