She was only a few years older? "That's impressive," I said. "To make your marque so quickly." Of course I wasn't of the Night Court but when we tailored for them usually they seemed to be a lot older before they completed their marques.

I nodded quietly at what Raisa had said. It did seem quite impressive for her to have completed her marque so quickly. I turned back to the stage as I watched a juggler and a fire breather come on stage. My eyes widened as I watched the fire breather send fire rushing straight out into the air.

Quickly? I'd been told I was slow, for a time – though it was true that the past year or so... I'd been blessed. It had to do with pickiness, and how I'd stop being difficult about my patrons, at one time.
But the show resumed, and so I turned my attention to the Eglantines, impressed with their performance.

Watching with rapt attention as the adepts displayed a myriad of talents; acrobatics, more music, displays of on the spot art, I clapped as loudly as anyone else in the crowd when it ended, sad that it was over but glad that I was lucky enough to witness such a show for free.
As the crowd began to disperse, I linked my arm through Jess'. "I believe you owe me lunch now." And, turning to Geraldine, I gave a shy smile. She seemed nice and I thought that maybe Jess wouldn't mind if I invited her along. They seemed to have a lot to talk about, these adepts of the Night Court. "Would you like to join us?"

When the acrobatic act came to an end, I applauded with everyone.
I squeezed Raisa's arm slightly in excitement when she looked at me to have lunch. I nodded excitedly and then turned toward Geraldine. It looked as if we were thinking the same thing. "Please say you will come, Geraldine. It's my treat!" I knew that technically adepts from other houses she be competing with one another, but I wasn't much of a competitor. I enjoyed having friends too much.

“I wouldn't want to intrude,” I replied, though I was touched by the extended invitation. “But let me treat you both, rather. I reckon, you should be saving for your marque, should you not?” I asked the redhead.
I thought her offer was generous, but she looked young enough, and I felt a touch concerned – accepting that she would squander a patron gift, which might have taken her to the marquist instead, seemed like an untoward thing to do.

I blushed at the woman's mention of putting funds towards my marque. I nodded slowly and looked down at the ground, "You are quite kind. Sometimes I just get so excited about things... I don't even think about what I'm spending. That would be very generous of you to offer."

I watched them both as they mentioned marques and debated lunch, and shook my head. "My lad-" I quickly corrected myself. "Geraldine. I can't let you do that. I imagine it's difficult maintaining your own salon even at the best of times. I'll treat you both. I recently got paid nicely for a commission I did recently, let me have the honour."

I smiled kindly at the young redhead, remembering that there was a time when I did exactly as she had planned to do, and was touched by Raisa's offer - though I reckoned, she was right on my salon's account, and probably as well on her shop's.
“You are both so sweet,” I said, grinning. “Why don't we all go to the market, put our resources in common, and cook something together? I'll gladly offer up my home, if you like, and this way, we can all have a grand meal at a more than reasonable price...”
[OOC: So new order, Jess-Raisa-Dine, aye? ^^]

I listened to Raisa offer and I was touched by her generosity and the generosity of Geraldine as well. I nodded eagerly at Geraldine's suggestion, "That sounds wonderful! I love to cook. I especially enjoy cooking pies. Would you mine if I took on dessert? " I could feel my heart beat a little faster as I thought of spending some time with 2 beautiful and kind women. I hoped that we might continue having outings like this.

I smiled at Geraldine's suggestion, and Jess seemed happy about it too. "Sounds perfect to me. Only I shall warn you all now that I may end up burning something."
It wasn't that I was a bad cook, I just didn't pay attention sometimes.

I laughed brightly at the agreement we were reaching, and winked at Raisa. “Don't worry – you and I can start a shop for burnt toast.” I wasn't that much of a cook myself, and I'd learned what I'd learned on my own, mostly after I was done with my marque. I wondered how the young redhead had learned to bake, and thought I'd ask, perhaps at a later time. [OOC: Was thinking maybe we'd move the thread straight to Geraldine's place, we can handwave the shopping and cooking, maybe, and skip to them eating and hanging out? Let me know, if it works for you both, I'll be glad to post. ^^
ETA: And as agreed, continued here.]
