Eyes on the skies [Andre]

[Kasia nó Gentian]

"I hope that helps," I said sedately, sliding the card back into my deck and watching in case any of the cards wanted to fall out during the process. Those cards could be important, just as the ones who could stick to the card you were drawing were and any extra information that could be gained was good. It was only too bad that the cards couldn't tell me the things that I really wondered about. "It's interesting reading your cards, I can't tell exactly what answer you want," I told him as an aside, then patted his hand and kissed his cheek, waiting a moment to see if any more clarity in the reading came to me.

"It does, thank you." I watched her return the card back into the deck and looked at her. "I wouldn't worry about, the card was answer enough." I was taken back slightly when she kissed my cheek, blushing a bit. But then I returned the kiss on a cheek. It was only fair, right?

[Kasia nó Gentian]

The return kiss to my cheek surprised me a little but not enough that I did anything but stay perfectly skill. More I wondered at my own actions. Was it that same curiosity that led my sister to take solace in her opium and that other trainees talked about from time to time and called impatience? But I wasn't. I just wanted to see what could make Andre surprised, and whether or not it meant something good or something bad. That it was fun was unexpected. Nevertheless I squeezed his hand slightly and met his eyes, wondering what I would see. "Does that look on your face mean that you like to be kissed then?" I asked curiously but softly, oddly well aware of my training and the way it worked instinctively in an adept.

I gave a smile smile and a semi-seductive look. "Perhaps." I squeezed her hand back, meeting her eyes as she met mine. "And you?" I had noticed that she hadn't done anything but stand still after I pulled away.

[Kasia nó Gentian]

"I don't know, I haven't done that much of it," I replied sedately, not at all perturbed by that fact. I was a trainee and we weren't usually supposed to go around dallying with others, and when you're an odd trainee there's no chance at all to speak of. The look in his eyes and across his features made me wonder perhaps what would have happened if I was more normal, like Felicja, and didn't always startle people.

[Andre nó Dahlia]

"I'm sure you will once you've had your debut," I answered. I was in her place not that long ago and I knew that once I had my debut, there would be patrons coming to see me.

[Kasia nó Gentian]

The mood somehow seemed to change and I glanced back up at the sky for a moment as I put my cards away. "Perhaps, but I'm not sure," I replied simply, smoothing down my skirts and keeping my hands at my sides. "Even if they don't want me for some things I can read the cards and that will be useful even if it doesn't make my marque. I hope you have good luck with your assignations though."

[Andre nó Dahlia]

"There will be people who will pay for your marque who ask for card readings. I hope you have a successful debut and good luck with your assignations."

[Kasia nó Gentian]

"I know there will be," I replied, cocking my head sideways and wondering what he meant. "But that would get boring. Are you ready to leave? It almost sounds as though you are."

[Andre nó Dahlia]

"It would be boring." I wasn't sure if I could handle that if I was in Gentian. "No. I'm actually enjoying the time with you."

[Kasia nó Gentian]

"Oh," I replied, somewhat confused for a moment as I considered, then glad to hear that he was enjoying himself. "I'm happy to hear it. Perhaps I should behave this way more often, then people would be as charming as you are. I only really have one friend, and then my sister."

[Andre nó Dahlia]

I smiled. I liked her. "I would be honored to count you as a friend. One cannot have too many friends in this life."

[Kasia nó Gentian]

"No, I suppose not," I replied simply, reaching out to take Andre's hand and squeezing it slightly. "But won't you get in trouble too?"

[Andre nó Dahlia]

I felt her squeeze my hand a bit and squeezed back. "I could get in trouble. But I believe it'll be worth it to see you again."

[Kasia nó Gentian]

"I don't know if that's exactly what I meant, but alright," I replied with a hazy smile, looking up at Andre for a long moment, then leaning on my tiptoes to leave a light kiss on his cheek. Perhaps it was more curiosity, a sign that my debut should happen soon, but there was nothing indecent about what I'd done either. "You can stop by to visit if you like. It's not as confusing inside as some say."

I smiled slightly when she kissed my cheek. There was nothing wrong with a friendly kiss on the cheek. I hoped that she had her debut soon. I didn't see anything that would prevent her from reaching a good amount. "I'll do that."

[Kasia nó Gentian]

For some reason I'd wondered if he wouldn't return the gesture or anything but perhaps Dahlia had a harder time showing affection than Gentian did after all. "I should go back soon, they'll probably want me to do some more lessons," I replied, turning around and looking toward where my House sat on the hill. "Though I think I know whatever it is already."

[Andre nó Dahlia]

I listened as she said she should return soon. I still held her hand when she turned to look where Gentian stood on the mount. "Oh?" I turned her back to face me and kissed her, not on the cheek, but on the lips. Daring, yes.

[Kasia nó Gentian]

Andre was taller and stronger than me, but when he turned me around I went easily enough, curious what he was doing. Then his lips were pressed to mine and I was still with surprise, especially since we were standing in the street. Most likely none of the other adepts would even notice something like that but it was still a chance to take, and I cocked my head slightly as I pulled away just slightly. "I don't know what that was for," I said with a smile. "But thank you."

She didn't slap me, which was a plus. "You're welcome," I replied with a half smile. "A beautiful woman should have a kiss a day." I'm sure that if there were any passing adepts, they would have seen, but they didn't say anything.
