Watching Luc and Josette was a sweet thing, with their easy, friendly affection and the way they seemed to understand each other's mannerisms. Once it had been that way with my brother, sister and I, and Victoire and I still shared a good connection as far as I knew but Cygnus had been away for so long that sometimes I had to wonder whether I really understood him as well as my brother deserved.
Taking another sip of my wine I listened to them talk, then grinned as Luc sat back down. "Well, since I haven't seen any of your work I'll have to trust my friend's word on it," I teased lightly. "Maybe once your newest closet-saving piece is done I can come over and look at that, and then I'll be able to see for myself." I didn't doubt that Luc was as good as Josette had said, but I was inherently curious and if it gave me another reason to come over and visit I couldn't let the chance pass me by.

“You can come back and see the armoire, but you don’t have t o wait until then to see his work,” I said, jumping up. “Try to keep from boring her, Luc.” I gave him a grin and then hurried off to my bedroom to retrieve my jewelry box.

I raised my brows. Oh so she wanted to return? That meant I had not offended beyond repair, and that made me giggle... no no laugh.. .just... boyishly was all. When Josette ran off, I furrowed my brows, wondering where she was off to, but shrugged.
"As you wish, mon capitain," I called out after her, saluting her back as she left the room. My eyes went to Noemi, and I wiggled my brows and smiled at her before laughing. "I apologize my lady, but I am a carefree boy at heart," I said with a shrug of my shoulders, hands open to teh ceiling.

Whatever had come to Josie's mind had evidently struck her as rather interesting and with a happy smile she ran off and I watched her with a grin of my own before I looked back at Luc. He seemed a little confused, but happy enough, and I smiled a bit more brightly at him, cocking my head and giving him a playful look. "Oh, don't apologize for that," I replied with a light laugh, setting down my glass and pushing some hair back behind my shoulder. "Who am I to get in the way of some fun? Thank you for your earlier performance, I was much amused by it. Where did you learn to juggle?"

Hiking up my skirts, I took the steps two at a time and was soon in my room. Plucking the jewelry box from my dresser, I headed back down. The box was one of my favorite things that Luc had ever made. All the hidden drawers and intricate carving were masterful, and the wood was polished to the point of feeling like glass.

I smiled roguishly at our guest, waggling my brows before answering.
"Now now, if I gave away all my secrets, someone might find out and then where would I be with othe rmen stealing my charming acts! I only have so many abilities, my lady," I teased. I looked at her face, her smile, the sunny hue of her locks. She was lovely, and terribly familiar, but for the life of me I could not place her, though it seemed at the tip of my tongue.
"You know, and please, do not think that this is some silly little attempt at getting you to fall head over heels for me, though if you do.." i shrugged and laughed, "but... you look strikingly familiar my lady... like I had seen you before, and since it doesnt leave a burning sensation across my cheek, I would say we never spoke, or if we did, it went well," and then I grinned rakishly, boyishly, playfully.

As much as he said he only had so many talents I had no doubt there were quite a few more than that and I laughed quietly, biting my lower lip slightly as I did so to keep from being so loud as to disturb anyone else in the vicinity.
Now that he mentioned me looking familiar there was something in the flash of his eye that reminded me of somewhat too, though nothing was clear enough for me to remember a place or situation. I had been in so many places since arriving that it was almost dizzying trying to think about them, but at least I could try to narrow it down. After all, more reason to know a handsome boy was never a bad thing. "Well, I don't think I've slapped more than two people in anger in all of my life, so I think you're safe on that count," I teased then tapped my finger against my lip as I thought. "Maybe it was a shop somewhere, or on the streets. And then there was that fete that I went to with Victoire, so that could be it too. Do any of those sound familiar?"

She laughed, and the way she bit her lip almost made me falter, but I did brighten my smile. She was lovely, I could not deny thyat, nor would I. And then her face went from that to thoughtful, and I furrowed my brows, tryingn to remember as well.
It was very possible we could have met in the streets, and I was mulling over the possibilitiy of whether she had happened into Dorval's one day, and then she said fete and my eyes brightened, my hand shooting up i nthe air, fingers snapping loudly.
"Aha yes, of course, teh welcome fete! How could I forget! I remember you now. You were a very preoccupied lady and I recall spotting you dancing and thinking I might like a dance with you as well, but never did get what I wanted," I said, pouting boyishly before I laughed again. "That is it, for certain. Welcoming the Trevalions... meaning yes... you were one of teh ladies the fete honoured," I grinned. "Now how did my sister manage to befriend herself a princess," i teased.
