I would have curtsied, but we were sitting. Instad, I bowed my head slightly. "Tis nothing, I love to share. Afterall, sharing is caring," I teased, smiling as the barmaid came back about, filling glasses without interrupting. Her eyes did linger on us both though before she left our table and i smiled at her.
"I daresay we were the best in the tavern tonight," I grinned.

"You certainly were. I will have to take your word on my own performance," I responded, the grateful smile remaining on my lips at her compliment. I never tried commenting on my own playing; the song had felt good, but beauty was in the eye, or in this case the ear, of the beholder. I knew I would be back at the Parrot, though, as having such an outlet for my love of music had proven to be very enjoyable. "It is kind of you to say so, though," I added, and took a deep drink from my glass.

"Well trust when I say it is true," I said, "afterall I'm trained to have an ear for these sorts of things," I said with a giggle and a wink.

Setting my glass back down, I grinned a bit at her words, and the musical sound of her giggle. "Maybe I will have to come back here, then, on another night when the stage is open," I remarked, fingers idly toying with the stem of the glass once again.

"Oh but you must! It is nice to have someone in the crowd to connect to," I explained, "it makes the experience more... real, more personal."

Listening to her, I could only take her word for it, and nodded softly. "It did seem to make things more enjoyable, though I've never played for a crowd before tonight, so I have little in the way of experiences to compare it to," I answered her, though the enjoyment was still clear in my tone. It was not a night I would soon forget, that was assured.

"Did you find yourself nervous when you played?" I asked him. "Like, initially ... well everyone is initially nervous, but I meant, as you got into it and the music moved you, did you feel nervous?"

"I was not nearly as nervous as I thought I would be, no. I do think that having you here in the audience, after our conversation, helped," I remarked, smiling appreciatively into her eyes as I took another sip from my glass of wine.

I grinned, beaming. "Well, I am glad that I could have eased the tension a little. And of course anytime I am here and you wish to use my harp, you are welcome to. I trust you with her."

It was odd to see her beautiful face beaming at me the way it was, but her words were a great compliment. Harps were not inexpensive, after all, and hers was a finely made instrument. "I appreciate that trust, but I hope to have my own before too long. After tonight, I will really miss being able to play at my leisure," I told her quite truthfully.

I nodded in understanding.
"When I had first gone to Eglantine as a child, my harp had to stay home and go after me. I had a harp at Eglantine to use, but it never felt teh same as playing my own, the one that was meant for me," I said, chuckling softly, "I suppose it sounds a little silly to have a connection to an object like that, but I do."

"Its not silly at all. Every harp, every musical instrument, I would guess, has its own feel. I will be having to get a new one, as I didn't want to risk bringing mine to the city all the way from Namarre," I sympathized with her, "I will have to get used to the new one, but its best to begin right away."

I nodded, fully understanding. "Where aer you geting your new harp from?" I asked. "Somewhere in teh City or are you having one made and shipped?"

"In the city. I need to learn my way around, so I figured I would make a day of going to find a craftsman," I answered her with a smile, taking another sip from my glass.

I could certainly do worse than to have her aid in picking out an instrument. After hearing her play, I had no doubt she would have a good ear. "I would greatly appreciate the company, if you do not happen to be busy whenever I go," I told her, smiling at her gratefully. Of course, since I was not sure yet when I was going, exactly, I was sure there would be a chance of her having an assignation, or some other business she would need to see to.

"But of course," I said, waving my hand in the air non-chalantly, "otherwise perhaps I will get to see it when you come to play here again!"

"Oh, absolutely," I said, actually feeling somewhat excited about coming back to the Parrot to play again. I'd enjoyed playing on stage far more than I had expected to, and it was something I definitely planned on doing again once I had an instrument of my own a bit of time to get my skills sharp again. "And I hope to have it, as well, before you come visit to see what music I have collected," I added with a pleasant smile on my lips.

"Oooh!" I uttered in excitement, "then you could play for me!" I grinned, nodding in agreement. "I can't wait!"

I was pleased to hear that she was so eager to hear me play again, and it showed in my expression, I was certain. "I will be looking forward to it as well. Either way, I will send to you soon, so that we can work out a time for you to come see me," I told her, before finishing my glass of wine.

"Excellent," I agreed, downing the last bit in my own glass. "I will be waiting," I said with a smile and a wink. I looked to the stage. It was empty and it seemed that the crowd had slowly been thinning while we spoke, enraptured in our conversation. My eyes went wide and I looked out the window into darkness. "By the Gods, it must be late," I exclaimed, brining my attention back to Leon. "I hate to be as a wet towel, putting a damper on the festivities, but I had to return to Eglantine before they send out a search party," I joked, laughing softly. I hoped he did not think I was skipping out on him. I motioned to the barmaid to settle up my bill and to get my harp ready for transport.

As she looked to the stage, then around us, my gaze followed hers. I had lost track of time, myself, and while no one was waiting on me at home, I knew I would likely be growing tired soon. "Not at all. Thank you for the use of your harp, and I will be writing you soon," I told her as I rose to my feet, bowing my head to her graciously before departing so that she could see to her instrument.
