Making an affirming noise, I tilted my glass to and fro, just tipping barely, before looking back up to him again. "How about to new beginnings," I said softly, thinking on our upcoming wedding and the children we would eventually bear together. Sooner rather than later, I hoped; I wanted nothing more in the world but to be Quinns wife and give him children of our own.

My smile was quiet and wistful; the idea of our children still fresh enough in my mind that I had trouble focusing on anything else wholly. "Your choice this time," I smiled, leaning back on my hands after setting my drink down. My legs were stretched out before me and crossed, and I watched him, soft and quiet.

I chose the bag of candied almonds, taking out a few and offering them to her. I noticed the look on her face and tilted my head to the side. “Is everything alright?”

"Everything is fine," I replied, smiling affectionately at him. There was one thing I'd learned, and that was I could hide nothing from Quinn, not that I'd ever needed nor wanted to. My smile deepened a little, and I colored a bit as I dropped my gaze, a little shy with what came from my lips next as I took a couple candies. "I was just thinking.. wondering.. what it would be like to have our children."

There w a worm of worry that formed, even as she was smiled. Then, when she said what she’d been thinking, I relaxed and smiled.
“It is going to be wonderful and amazing,” I told her, my voice filled with love. “I can barely wait.”

"Neither can I," I whispered back, smiling softly at him. The candies were forgotten, dropped in my lap so I could bring my fingers up, cupping his cheek gently. "You're going to be an amazing father... Have I ever told you how lucky I am?" My smile grew a little more, my eyes soft as I looked at him.

I leaned into her touch, my eyes closing with the pure, simple joy of her skin on mine.
I opened them again and returned her smile. “Almost as lucky as I am,” I replied. Turning my head, I lightly kissed her palm.

I smiled softly at him, tender thoughts and feelings coursing through me, before I gave a soft sigh of happiness and brought my hand down again. Picking up one of the candies, I popped it into my mouth and looked around me, just barely stopping myself from laying back on the grass and closing my eyes.
"I wish I had a book," I said, smiling gently as I looked around.

He caught me off guard, and I blushed immediately before I could catch myself. "No," I said hurriedly, a smile flashing across my face instantly. "But I should bet if you had a book right now too, you'd be thinking about reading it."
My eyes were twinkling as I leaned over, pressing my lips to his cheek lovingly.
