A touch of the unknown: Lola and Muriel

This here was a store to which I had not been in quite some time. The last time was for when I was putting on a show set in Bhodistan. I now came simply to spice up my wardrobe.

Calmly I perused the clothing of various lands. My expression would indicate that I didn't have a care in the world.

The masque came and went, and except for meeting Therin there wasn't much to say about my life. I had thought that coming to Terre d'Ange, and to the City of Elua in particular, would be some grande adventure for me. Instead it was turning out to be far more difficult and far more lonely. In my mind I had assume that I'd be able to snatch up a husband right away; instead I found myself wandering around the different districts, buying things I couldn't really afford.

Today seemed no different, except today I found myself in a shoppe that vaguely reminded me of home in the fact that some of the clothing that they sold were styled after the Aragonian fashions. I entered and began to look about, trying to find perhaps something warm for winter.

I was being lead towards the Aragonian styled fashions simply by the layout of the store. After examining a cape my eyes started to wander. They then fell upon a lovely creature. I could tell by her features that she was either Aragonian or Caerdicci. If she looked my way she would notice me smiling at her.

I was just begining to make my way around one of the racks when I noticed a man looking toward me. He was handsome, and smiling, so I couldn't help but smile back, a little blush coming to my cheeks as we made eye contact. But I didnt move to say anything, it wasn't really my style and in this case he had caught me out and I was unprepared to have a smiling face looking my way.

I sensed a shyness about her, which always intrigued me. Slowly I walked over to her, my face still smiling. "Hello there," I said in a soft friendly tone. "I trust your shopping is going along smoothly."

I saw him begin to walk this way and felt my heart racing; uncertainty, excitement, I was awash in a sea of thoughts as he neared, the most prevailent thought being that my checks were on fire.
"Good day," I said, my Aragonian accent thick as I sketched a proper cursty. "And yes, thank you." I added, trying not to make direct eye contact yet unable to stop myself from glancing shyly to him.
"And you?" I asked in reply. "Are you... finding everything?" I added, feeling a little silly since my question sounded like I was an attendant in the shoppe.

I caught her blush, her shy glances. For an actor no expression goes unnoticed. They were returned with a genuine kindness. "I think I am...well to be honest I really just got here and I don't know exactly what I want... Do you work here?" I asked. I really wasn't sure. I didn't think she did though. I gave her my infectious smile, hoping to calm her shyness away. And her voice...it was so charming.

I shook my head and ran my hand through my hair anxiously as I turned from him to hide my face for a moment and rolled my eyes at myself before I managed to turn back to him.
"No, I don't, forgive me... it was a silly question." I chuckled shyly. "I just meant, that I'm hoping you having a good day.... and able to find things... that you're... " I cleared my throat.
"Finding things." I looked away again and worried my lower lip as I knit my brows a little; I looked back at him and forced myself to try again.
"I'm Lola."

My smile grew and I cautiously placed my hand on her shoulder. It was a risky move but she seemed to need reassurance. "There is nothing to forgive, Lola." I savored the name, grasping each consonant and sucking the marrow from each vowel. "I am indeed having a good day, and company such as yourself makes it even better." The hand then slid down her arm and rested just above her elbow.

He touched me with such authority that I wondered as to who he was, but the fact that he was so daring was making my cheeks heat and I glanced down as shivers rolled over my skin.
"Perhaps I could be your company," I said softly as I dipped a curtsy and rose, not quite meeting his eyes. "If you would perchance give me your name in exchange."

I placed my hand behind my back. "I'm sorry. It slipped my mind." And indeed it had. "I am Muriel, Muriel no Eglantine. And I have to tell you it is a joy to meet you." I saw her blush, felt her shiver. "If I seem to bold, please forgive me. I did not wish to make you uncomfortable, but only to be a comfort. "

Eglantine, that surprised me but made me happy at the same time; like Keegan I had found that there could be friendship in those that were of the Night Court.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Muriel," I replied softly. "And I'm not uncomfortable." I added with a smile and gently chewed my lower lip a little.

I smiled again, reassuringly. "You may be honest with me. For those from other lands, meeting those of the Night Court seems imposing. I wish it were not so. We're not always out for lovemaking, though we do enjoy it."

I had to chuckled a little bit and I ducked my gaze for a moment.
"I have met other adepts." I said softly as I looked up at him through my lashes.

She was such a sweet young lady. And the look on her face was incredibly endearing. "Have you now? And how many from Eglantine?"

I chuckled softly and tucked a lock of hair behind my ear.
"One or two." I said softly, my cheeks warm as I clasped my hand demurely in front my me.

I grinned. "You don't say? Well you should make that three now of course. And I hope they were all fine people. They should be, after all, they've been around me."

I chuckled again, ducking my gaze a little at the handsome stranger.
"Is everyone affected by you then?" I asked softly as I looked at him through my lashes.

I shook my head. "Of course not. But they know me, and we all kinda place a little of our lives into everyone. At Eglantine, no one person has the exact same talent. We get to share, to influence others. In that sense yes."

I nodded as I listen, tucking hair behind my ears again despite the fact that none of my hair was out of place.
"I see." I said softly.

I tilted my head and, cautiously, reached out my hand and carefully ran my fingers over her temple as if I were fixing the imaginary hair. "That should take care of it," I said sweetly. It was a bold move, but how could I resist?

I shivered a little as I felt his fingers against my scalp, touching my hair and left me a little breathless.
"Thank you." I said softly.

I nodded and smiled. "You're welcome," I said as my hand slid down her face and cupped her chin. "Feeling alright?" I asked, taking a step closer to her.

His bold hand, moving, made me blush even more as I seemed to fall under a spell; he stepped closer and I felt my heart begin to beat so fast that it seemed to slow time itself.
"Yes." I breathed, my body leaning toward him in an aching fashion and in my mind I was begging him to kiss me.

As she leaned towards me she gave me the signal that I needed and I slowly leaned forward as well, closing my eyes as my lips touched hers. They parted and closed again in a delicate kiss. I pulled back reluctantly, looking into her eyes, hoping I had done right.

He kissed me, fleetingly, but sweetly and I wanted to fall to my knees and beg him to have be right there; I didn't of course.
"Thank you." I whispered softly, my eyes still closed as I continued to lean into him, but soon realized I probably looked silly and pulled back to look at him with a blush on my cheeks.

I smiled at her. "Thank you, the pleasure was mine..." As if pulled by an unseen force I leaned in and repeated the kiss again, twice. "You are so precious."

My breathing just seemed to get quicker and quicker, his lips on me again and again.
"Muriel." I breathed, unable to stop myself as every last part of my skin shivered with desire.

"Yes, Lola?" I questioned between two increasingly passionate kisses. Soon we would begin to call attention. I didn't want to embarrass her. But it was all going so well.

"Take me some where, please." I whispered softly. "Anywhere."
