Making friends and all that Jazz.

I don't why I show up at a lot of the places I do. Well actually I do, to people watch. That's the long and short of it. I simply have a thing for observing other's, picking up their traits, and sometimes picking up an assignation.

Today however I was purely out for relaxation. El Parra was just the place for that. I took a table and asked for a small sandwich. With a smile I took a deep breath. This was the life...well it was until I got my marque completed, whenever that was.

After the Masque, I was feeling a bit cabin feverish and so I took to the streets, walking around and getting some fresh air, until I stumbled on a wine shop I had never seen before. I entered and immediately felt at home. Taking a seat, I ordered a glass of wine and some complementary cheeses to go with it.

I ended up people watching after all, or at least making passing judgement of people as they entered. I noticed Abigail as soon as she walked in. A sweet little innocent was the first thing that popped into my mind as my food was brought me.

However I couldn't help but subtly try and get her attention, hoping she would make eye contact.

As I took a bite of cheese, I noticed a young man at another table looking at me. Hastily, my eyes flicked away, then back again.

I smirked. Yep most assuredly shy and innocent. I waved at her in a friendly way. "Hello there."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

I smiled shyly back. "Hello," I said. "What's your name?"

[blackfox2]

I stood up and walked over to her. "Muriel, Muriel Sebastian." I left off the Eglantine, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. "And what shall I call you?"

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"Abigail d'Aubigne," I replied softly, "or just Abby, if you like."

I smiled at her. "A pleasure to meet you, Abby." I took a breath, not wanting to seem too bold. "Would you mind if I sat here. I should like some nice company on this day." I tilted my head as I asked.

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"Not at all," I replied. I pushed my plate towards him. "Would you like some cheese? This is too much for me."

"Thank you!" I grinned and took a couple pieces. "Thar's very kind of you." I watched her warmly. "What brings you into this part of town, other than the cheese that is?"

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"Cabin fever," I replied. "I moved here to live with my sister, but she went on a long holiday soon after I arrived and so I am awfully bored sitting around doing nothing." I looked at him. "And what brings you out?"

I nodded. "Understandable." I gave her a shrug. "I'm here because I spend most of my time in the Artisan's district. I love the theatre. Some say I'm a bit of an actor myself."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"An actor?" I asked. "How interesting! What kinds of plays do you act?"

[blackfox2]

I was relaxed in the chair. "All kinds. I really have no preference. I simply enjoy doing it, I like seeing an audience moved, to react. Tell me, what do you enjoy doing?"

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"I like reading," I said. "And I enjoy flower gardens and crafts."

[blackfox2]

I wasn't surprised. "What sort of crafts do you make. I know some people who make practical crafts and others for whom it is more of an art, and a lot who do a bit of both."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"Oh, just a little crocheting and lacework here and there," I said. "More now because it is winter. I'm no expert, I'm afraid."

[blackfox2]

I nodded. "I see. Well I'm sure that it is very nice. I happen to know several people who make clothing and such. I'm sure they could give you lessons."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

I leaned in, interested. "Whom do you know?" I asked. "Where might I find them?"

[blackfox2]

"I have some friends at the Eglantine house. The're are people there that specialize in all manner of things." I answered her quickly, offering a kind smile.

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"Oh," I said. "I don't think I've ever, at least, my family..." I trailed off. "I don't know any adepts, at least, I don't think."

"Well you do now actually," I said with a humble smirk. "I am actually and Eglantine Adept." I wasn't what her reaction would be.

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

I opened my mouth, and then shut it. "You must think me a terrible clod," I said. "Not knowing an adept when I see one."

[blackfox2]

I should my head with a light chuckle which transformed itself into a reassuring smile. "Of course not. I try not to flaunt the fact of who I am. Therefore I don't expect people to no unless I decide to tell them."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

I nodded. "I see," I said. "At any rate, me and the Night Court...we are not at all acquainted."

[blackfox2]

I nodded, for I had assumed as much. "I see. Well I hope that I can be your friend despite this. You seem to quite the sweet and caring person. To be honest I don't see many like that."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

"Oh, thank you," I said. "I do my best. You seem nice, too."

[blackfox2]

I chuckled. "Well thank you. I do my best to be. So, tell me a little bit about yourself."

[Abigail d'Aubigne]

I though a moment. "Well, I was born in Camlach, and I came here to live with my sister. She's unfortunately been out of town, but I look forward to her return." I paused. "What would you like to know? I don't know if I am anything other than perfectly ordinary."
