The following is a continuation of the Story of Terre d'Ange. Everything that follows is after the book 'Kushiel's Avatar' and includes nothing of the books past it. All that procedes are of the creator of this board's making and not approved by JC or anyone affilated with her.
This is just a brief synoposis and will be updated on a regular basis to reflect the things that happen within the board.
Following the reign of Queen Ysandre, the crown was eventually passed to her eldest daughter Princess Sidonie de la Courcel.
Some time in Sidonie's 26th year Ysandre passed her title, much toil came to the throne. Those in Terre d'Ange were often unaware of the things that were going on with the throne and nothing seemed stable.
Sidonie gave birth within the year to a healthy boy; Ambrose.
Prince Ambrose was sent away in secrecy to be fostered under the Queen's Poet, Miriam de Mereliot, Ambrose was raised a poet and scholar.
Aware of his heritage and destiny from birth, he never truly let it get to his head. While studying at the University in Tiberium he met Trisèlene y Tiberium, the daughter of a high-ranking Tiberian noble. A bond greater than friendship was forged between them, one that would eventually lead to a bethrothral in the future.
After his studies at Tiberium, Ambrose returned home to Terre d'Ange. Upon his return, he was heralded as the Crown Prince to all the D'Angeline people.
But things in Terre d'Ange were changing and relations with the Khalif of Khebbel-im-Akkad deteriorating as they were. It seemed that war was imminent.
The Battle of the Marsilikos came when the Khalif declared war upon Terre d'Ange by sending an armada of his best ships against the ports of Eisande, Ambrose de la Courcel was placed in charge of both the Royal Army and Royal Navy. With the combined might of Terre d'Ange, Aragonia, Caerdicca Unitas and Tiberium by his side, Ambrose managed to repelled the attacking force and in turn blockade the Khalif's men in their homeland. Both land and sea was closed to them outside of their borders, but the war was not over.
The Battle of Nineveh marked its end. Overcoming all odds, they breached Niveveh's defenses and entered into his throne room of the palace.
Months of diplomatic tension breaking and reconstruction followed in its wake, led by Ambrose. Eventually, the Khalif agreed to an alliance with Terre d'Ange.
When the war was concluded and Ambrose returned to his homeland, he announced that he would be wed to Terisèlene. A month later, the wedding took place. Ambrose stood as both the Crown Prince and beloved hero of Terre d'Ange.
After the Akkadian war, Terre d'Ange was once at peace. Ysandre had saddly passed within that time and Sidonie was growing weary herself. Deciding to pass the crown and the nation to her only son and his new wife.
The celebration was grand and Terre d'Ange, for the first time in over 70 years had a King to guide them.
But tragedy struck on the night of their celebration, their carriage found at the side of the road, all its occupants dead (except for the barely alive Ambrose) and not a single grain of evidence as to who could do such a thing was never found.
A secret meeting was held and though Princess Alais (sister to Sidonie) was the next rightful heir, she was now heavy with her fourth child and had long abdicated the throne for her first child the young Princess Sabrina.
Irony it was then that the burden of the nation fell to that very child. It was agreed that Princess Sabrina would take the temporary title of Princess Regent. This was a decision that was heavy on the people of Terre d'Ange. Sabrina wasn't raised to be heir and thus had no experience or instruction.
Ambrose, after a lengthy coma, woke briefly, giving his blessing to Sabrina but he soon passed to Terre d'Ange-that-lies-beyond to join his wife and others he loved.
Sadly though tragedy was torn anew when on the night of Princess Renee's birth, Princess Alais had a difficult labour and died because of it. Even worse, as Prince Consort Louis de Vermandois rushed to be by her side, his horse took a fall breaking it's leg and sending Louis to his own death.
Newly crowned, Queen Sabrina hopes to make Terre d'Ange stable once more. Secretly she has married the second son of the newly growing Ruskovia, but has made it an offical engagement and hopes to unite the countries. Love as thou wilt. She could only but follow her heart.
