Just a little drink

[Aaliyah nó Eglantine]

I knew that the ceremony took place at the temple but did not realize you needed speciaal candles. Of course I had not thought that much about it yet, either. A thought came to my head and I said, "do you think they would deny me a candle?"

[Conrad nó Dahlia]

"Can they do that?" I asked incredulously. "I think not...though they will probably want to know your feelings about having a child or somesuch."

[Aaliyah nó Eglantine]

I had no idea if they could deny me or not but I said, "I have wanted to have a child for a long time." I thought for a moment and then said, "maybe to make up for my own lack of a childhood before the House. Be the mother that my own mother could not. But, it would be a way to honor her, not to show her disrespect."

[Conrad nó Dahlia]

I nodded. "That sounds good enough to me," I said. "I'm sure the priests and priestesses will agree."

[Aaliyah nó Eglantine]

I was glad for Conrad's answer and gave him a happy smile for it. "I think that you will be right."

I was starting to feel the alcohol wear which meant I would have to either drink more to wake up or it would end up being my bedtime very soon. "Are you busy tonight?" I asked.

[Conrad nó Dahlia]

"Not anymore," I joked. "Why?"

"Well," I said, trailing just a little bit. "It is a fine night.. I am here with a fine man, and I don't really want to go back to Eglantine quite yet. Purhapse we could fine something to do." I gave him my most charming and flirtatious smile and hoped that he was in the mood for some company."

[Conrad nó Dahlia]

"Come with me to Dahlia," I said. "We won't be disturbed."

[Aaliyah nó Eglantine]

I was happy to hear his suggestion, "I will be happy too," I said, my excitement in my voice. I took his arm, hoping he would not mind, and gladly went with Conrad to his house.
