I grinned for a mere second as he grew excited, then gasped when he kissed first my cheeks. M eyes widened when he kissed me on the mouth, and I had just begun to respond when he dropped me like a hot potato and began to apologize. Blinking in surprise and a touch of shock, I was motionless for a moment. Then I shook my head and smiled. Reaching up with one hand, I laid it on his cheek, "You don't have to apologize, Baltazar. I understand about being excited." I giggled, "I'm glad I could give you a good idea."

I smiled again as she spoke, and did not slap me as I was anticipating, letting go a deep breath I had been holding. "Thank you for your understanding," I said with a smile. These women, these d'Angeline, or as it were, part d'Angeline women were like muses to me. It was magnificent, although terrifying at the same time. "I shall surely have to name it after you once I get the idea back to my father," I said with a smile, "if you shall allow me that honour," I said with a grin as I looked down at her.

I broke into laughter, then curtsied, "It would indeed be an honour." I stood, and laughed again, softly, "It's too bad you don't have any, but a nice chilled white wine will be a good substitute. Do you know where we could get some oysters?"

I laughed as she curtsied, full of mirth. "Whilled white wine I can do, no problem," I said with a chuckle, "and as for the oysters," I said, offering my arm to her, "I know of a place for certain."

I smiled, but was already questioning the wisdom of oysters. It was well known that they were an aphrodisiac, and I hesitated to do anything that might create an awkward situation. Especially since I had no idea when my mother and her husband would again show up. They were in the city somewhere, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if I ran into them 'accidentally'. I pushed that thought away, and linked my arm through Baltasar's, letting him lead the way.

We started walking, arm in arm. "It is a lovely place, in the Palace District, they are amazing for seafood," I said with a grin. "Are you sure your parents will not be upset if I steal you away?" I asked with a wink and a chuckle.

I was having a pleasant time with Baltasar, having suceeded in pushing away thoughts of the dreaded parental visit. Then he brought them up again, and while I had to laugh and shake my head, my thoughts again took a dark turn. Keeping them to myself, I continued to smile, "I rather think you would have more to worry about from the Dowayne of Eglantine House. Stealing away one of the best dancers might be frowned upon." I laughed again, and patted his arm, "I'm sure I can protect you, though."

I could not help but laugh heartily. This little, beautiful, terribly beautiful, but little thing was going to protect me? It was a comical thought, though it was also endearing. "Well so long as I am safe with you," I said with a wry grin, "I haven't a fear in the world!" I exclaimed, throwing my free hand up in the air, carefree, before laughing again. I was enjoying myself, and felt the worries of business melting off of me with ever step, ever word spoken. "And perhaps if Eglantine does come knocking down my door, I can soothe them with a little song, while you appease them with a little dance."

I smiled, delighted that I had managed to make him laugh. And his idea of fending off the Dowayne of Eglantine house with a song and dance made me laugh as well, and squeeze his arm. "That sounds like a sure-fire way to gain the Dowayne's favor."
