“We only asked you your reason, your name was given freely,” I reminded her before turning my attention to the girl who sat so quiet beside me.
“Shall we give her your name as well? Was her reason valid enough?” I asked with a grin.

I watched the exchange and felt a bit out of place, the strange man's name causing a reaction in the Alban. Ceallach, it struck me after a moment that this girl was related to the Regent Cruarch Eideann mab Ceallach, and I wondered what it was she was doing in a place like this alone.
I blushed when they turned their attentions on me. I was merely an adept. I nodded to him and then spoke. "Celesta no Valerian." I murmured gently as I glanced between the pair.

Valerian? My eyebrows went up slightly as I looked at Celesta, my eyes wandering over her with new interest.
Finally I looked back at the foreign girl. “There, all paid up,” I said, grinning.

When Lord Ciaran's eyes rested on me and he let them search my figure, I ducked my head and flushed at his attention. I couldn't help it. He was charming, and yes as she said, dark. My blood sang to it, what ever it was, and I hoped he would choose me.
As he turned to the girl, I took a breath, forgetting to breath in that moment he had looked at me. I schooled my features as best I could then glanced to the dark haired Alban.

I smiled at the two as she gave her name, then watched as he showed some interest and looked upon her, his eyes travelling over her, unhidden, and I raised both of my brows a fraction before she, too, looked at him in the same manner, colouring.
Valerian... that was the House of pain as I recalled in my readings.
So his name suited him well.
I laughed at the exchange as the two brought their eyes back to me and I couldn't help it. The obviousness of what was going to occur once they went back to their seats and I was out of the picture struck me as slightly comical. Nonetheless, I couldn't forget my manners, and curtsied to Celesta with a soft smile.
"Glad to meet your acquaintance," I brought my gaze back to Ciarán. "And do you think the two of you might divulge why you are here? Maybe a bit of adventure? 'Tis certainly not for the fine fare," I murmured under my braeth with a jovial smile.

“One of us came out of curiosity, the other because of the reasonable prices,” I said, grinning. “It is up to you whether you want to decide which of us had which reason. The fare isn’t terrible though, not from what I’ve sampled. I’ve certainly had worse on the road.”

I snickered at him, before smiling. "You, dark one, out of curiosity. You, Celesta, I would say for the reasonable prices." It was not meant to insult, though after saying it I could see how it might sound... belittling, but such was not my intention. I was simply applying the words he had chosen to those who I thought the actions fit.
"I for one have not had anything to eat from here as yet. I have just heard through the grapevine. Then again maybe those who I have heard it from are far too haughty. Anything edible can't be that bad, and if it wasn't edible, I am sure they wouldn't be selling it." Then I thought about his words. "On the road? Where have you visited? That is, if you don't mind me asking yet another question."

Her words seem to fall from her train of thought and I wondered if she’d been drinking before she even got here.
“I’ve come from Eisande, very slowly. I took my time and enjoyed the trip,” I answered. I kept my attention on the foreign girl, but I didn’t want my little fawn feeling ignored and perhaps deciding to bolt into the arms of another. Still leaning casually back against the bar, I reached out my hand, slowly caressing a finger along a section of her forearm before lightly circling my fingers around her wrist.

Elua! I watched his finger caress over the skin of my arm and every hair on my body stood up on ends, excitment trilling through me. It was made even greater as his hand came to grasp mine. My chest began to rise and fall and it seemed that the whole tavern slid away as I focused on the desire that thrummed through my veins.

I looked at them both, watching the exchange that happened, the physical one, non-verbal actions, non-verbal reactions, playing out before me. A question, a promise, a command, and someone giving in. They wouldn't need to discuss their contract, it seems the terms were right there, laid out. I blsuhed, though, at the obviousness of the interaction. The claim and the submission playing out right before my eyes.
I'll admit, a part of it was thrilling. But I would never say it out loud.
Feeling my cheeks cool and dragging my eyes away from the point of their connection and back to his eyes, I smiled.
"It must have been a nice leisurely journey then."
I felt rather out of place, like a third wheel on a two-wheel war chariot.
Then again, I felt out of place everywhere here.

My fingertips were pressed against the vein on the underside of Celesta’s wrist and I could feel how her pulse raced. It was lovely.
The blush that rose on Faolan’s cheeks was amusing. I would wager she thought herself tough and raw compared to d’Angelines and yet the simple act of me claiming what was freely given had made her blush. How quaint.
“It was. Who knows if I’ll ever make the journey back so I wanted to make sure and enjoy it all the first time,” I said, smiling.

"Not planning on returning home then?" That I could understand. I glanced down again, quickly, at their hands, the way his fingers wrapped easily around her dainty wrists.
She looked so breakable.
I raised my eyes back to his, awaiting his response. By this time my blush had subsided. I was not really learned in the ways of romantic dealings between men and women. It was interesting, albeit it slightly embarassing, to see the events unfold right in front of me.
It gave me the distinct feeling of someone watching a play.

I couldn't move, not an inch, his finger burning my skin and causing an invisible brand that marked me as his. I couldn't look up either, it was plain and obvious in my face that I felt utter desire for him. I didn't want either of them to know and my cheeks burned with embarassment.

"No plans at all for anything?" I asked with a lopsided half-smile.

“Not before I got here,” I said, chuckling. I turned my head and looked at Celesta. “I do have plans for the very near future though.” I smiled and let my thumb stroke against her skin before looking back at the foreign girl.
“In fact, we should probably be going soon.”

"Ah well," I said with a soft sigh, "by all means, do not let the likes of me keep you from more ... pressing... matters," I said with a smile. "It was nice meeting you both. I hope you enjoy your days," I said turning back to the bar and taking a sip from my drink.
Yet another reminder of how it was so easy for people to find someone to find interest in, so long as it wasn't myself. I shrugged it off, shaking my locks mildly before taking another sip. I was going to need another one after this.

“Well, I guess soon means something different here in the city,” I commented. She was done with us apparently, not even allowing us to say our own farewells before turning away.
I turned my body towards Celesta, and all my attention as well. “So, shall go elsewhere?” I asked her softly.

I watched the two, speechless at Ciaran's words and actions before he turned to me, ignoring the woman. I wanted to point out he had just snubbed Alban royalty, but I was too caught up in his piercing gaze, my eyes couldn't look away. "Yes." I whispered softly as I blushed and dropped my gaze.

They had moved away and went about their business. I finished my drink at the bar and found that I wasn't really in the mood for another, and since no one else was forthcoming with converstation, I decided to raise myself from my chair, smoothing down my skirts, passing one last glance to teh two as they spoke to each other. I smiled, knowing what was to happen. Paying my tab, I left eh bartender a small tip and moved towards the door.
There had to be something exciting about. I just had to find it.

His grip tightened and I wanted to drop to my knees right there, the pain, the dominance, I would yield with out so much as a word and I wanted to pleasure him right there. I blushed as I held my breath for a moment and lead him out the door and toward Valerian House.
