I considered, but I thought it would be too risky for him to meet at my house, so I said, "Why don't we meet here? I'm certain I could find it again, and this way we won't draw undue attention to ourselves." I was sorry that he'd pulled away, but I understood that this wasn't the time or the place, and in fact I was a bit relieved. All flirting aside, I was a novice to the games of love, and I cared too much about what Luc thought of me not to be nervous.
"So," I said, rising. "We meet again - tonight at midnight?"

I went to rise with her, bowing with a flourish. "Yes, tonight. Will you allow me to take you home? Then you can tell Dyan how much you enjoyed my cmopany, how much of a gentleman I was, and then pretend to go daydream like a good little girl, meanwhile plotting your grand escape." I offered her my arm. Today had been quite the opposite of that, but it seemed the ebst thing to say. I was enjoying my time far too much for her overprotective sibling to start thinking me a bad influence already. That can wait until after tonight.

"Of course, that sounds perfect." I took his arm and walked with him over to the carriage. Now that we had this plan in place, I couldn't wait for midnight to come. "I will make certain that my sister knows what a gentleman you have been."

“Dont sell her too much on me, she might get suspicious,”I said with a laugh as I opened the door, letting her in ahead of me before I let myself up into the carriage, sitting beside her. I looked down at her, grinning from ear to ear, no doubt looking quite like a fool. “This should be a very fun evening,” I said with a grin before closing the carriage door, knocking it twice and we were on our way.
