I took Mathieu's arm and laughed at his joke. I made a small show of looking him up and down, though I was somewhat respectful with it. I then winked and said, "I don't know I think I am just a bit more girlish than you."

A lot of things went through my mind but I managed to keep them to myself as we made our way out and down the street. I settled for “Well, considering our current situation I am rather pleased that you are more girlish than I am.”

"I am glad as well," I told him with a smile. I had discovered over the course of my short life that I prefer males much more than females.
"Have you ever been to the laughing parrot?" I asked

I inclined my head "A time or two though it is not the sort of place I generally frequent. I tend to hand about the Hall of Games at the palace more than I do any other place." I smiled "What can I say I am a sucker when it comes to games of chance."

The hall of games, I had almost forgotten Vincent's invite there, so much had happened since then. "I have heard that the hall of games was a fun place to hang out and loose money. But, I will admit I have not visited there yet." I gave him a jesting smile and said, "luck is not often on my side."

I rolled my eyes and gave an evil smile as we grew closer to the mount “Well then I certainly must game with you since I prefer to win money. But then again you luck is not all bad since you seem to have run into me.” I said it in jest but well I liked to think she was pretty lucky in that reguard.

I held back a laugh at his jest about my luck. Instead I made a show as if to think for a moment. "Purhaps you are right!" I then said enthusasticly, "purhaps my luck has changed." I then winked and said, "you may want to double think your offer of taking me to the hall of games."
The familiar area told me that we were getting close. I hoped that the show tonight would be excilent, though if it was not it could work to my advantage. I was enjoying the conversation with Mathieu and if it was not interesting then it would n0t distract him too much.

I rolled my shoulders and smirked “All part and parcel of my cunning plot. You see when I gamble there is no luck involved at all. One can manipulate the games when one is clever. Oh everyone looses sometimes but if you watch your step you end up coming out ahead. Mayhap I am just lulling you into a sense of security so I can take you for all you have including that rather nice gown you are wearing.”

It was a good thing we were going to the Laughing Parrot and not the hall of games. Trickery and manipulation were not a skill I had, nor was watching how games were played. I just played and hoped for the best. I had no doubt that Mathieu could win all I had.
I was not bothered by this though, I had the only skill I truly wanted, the ability to paint. I laughed at him and in a teasing voice asked, "are you one for dresses, Mathieu? Maybe I will paint you in one..."

I laughed “More one for getting fine lasses out of them and not wearing them. Though I am certainly willing to have you paint me if you like just not in a dress.”

I always enjoyed painting, espcially when I had an attractive subject. "I would be more than happy to paint you," I told him happily, "and I can paint you in something a little more traditional than a dress, or," I added with a slight wink, "in nothing at all."

I would have replied but we had arrived at her House so entering and tending business was at hand. Though once that was tended and we were departing again headed for our ultimate destination I picked up the line of thought.
“Hmm, I in reguard to our earlier bainter about painting I was wondering what sort of attire or lack of attire strikes your fancy the most?”

I walked with Mathieu out of the house and toward the Laughing Parrot, glad that the formalities were over.
I looked him up and down, briefly, at his question. While Mathieu was not dressed poorly I decided that it was not something I would dress him in for a painting. Though maybe with a false background. I was very concious of color and layout when I painted.
I gave him a confident smile and said, "I think for you a lack of would suit best."

I nodded "You would probably know better than I. As I told you earlier my knowledge when it comes to such details if very, very scant." And I mentally patted myself on the back for keeping a serious demeanor as I said that.

I smiled, "good," I said, "it is decided then. We will have a fun evening at the Laughing Parot and then go back to Eglantine where I shall paint you in all of your natural finery." I then gave a flirtatous smile and added, "and then we will see where things take us from there."

I smiled back at her in kind “Well that sounds like a wonderfully entertaining evening to me all things considered.”
