Meeting a friend

[Isra Varousse]

“You spoil me,” I said, smiling. “Let’s eat and then we’ll have the energy to go somewhere private.”

[Azriel Shahrizai]

I chuckled softly and nodded.
"Good idea." I said smiling. "Where shall we eat, some where close?"

[Isra Varousse]

“That sounds good. Do you have somewhere you’d like to go?” I asked, soaking in the last few moments of his body pressed to mine.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

"How about Cassie de Pomme, I've heard good things and its just around the corner from Armands bookstore." I suggested.

[Isra Varousse]

“That sounds lovely. I’ve never been there,” I said, smiling.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

"Neither have I." I said smiling to her. "Shall we?"

[Isra Varousse]

I kissed him again, soft but getting a full taste of him before stepping back. “Yes, now I’m ready,” I said, smiling.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

I chuckled and nodded.
"Alright, this way." I said taking her hand and begining to guide her toward the area I had in mind.

[Isra Varousse]

I twined my fingers with his and squeezed his hand softly as we walked. “How’s your niece?” I asked.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

"She's good." I said smiling to her. "Though she seems to be busy with those things that interest her. I think she's been going to court more." I said looking at the area before looking back at Isra with a smile.

[Isra Varousse]

“That’s good, yes?” I asked. “That she’s getting out and exploring?”

[Azriel Shahrizai]

I shrugged giving her a look of unassurity.
"I suppose so, thats the idea right." I said knitting my brow a little. "Some times after loosing people close to you, theres a point where you get tired of hearing people ask if you're alright, or ask how you're doing that you try to pretend theres nothing wrong so you'll stop having people remind you." I looked at her for a moment and then back to in front of me.
"I remember when my parents died, that I did all the things that people my age were supposed to do, I tried to pretend that life was normal to escape the pain."

[Isra Varousse]

I furrowed my brow a little as I thought. “Do you think that’s what she’s doing? Trying to pretend? Or do you think she’s actually beginning to move on?” I asked.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

I shrugged.
"I'm not sure to be honest. She looks like she's really trying to move on, but she may just be convincing herself." I shrugged again, looking back to Isra.
"For a time I thought I was really getting over things, but one small thing would make me come unhinged and I would weep for them all over."

[Isra Varousse]

I squeezed his hand and moved a little closer to him. “I hope she is not just trying to pretend,” I said softly. I wish I had better words for him.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

"So do I." I said softly. "I don't want to pry but I suppose to should, its part of the job as her ward to make sure she's alright."

[Isra Varousse]

“I wish there was some way I could help,” I said softly.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

I nodded and looked to her, reaching over and touching her chin with my other hand.
"Thank you." I said smiling softly at her.

[Isra Varousse]

I leaned into his touch, my eyes drifting closed slightly. Gods I loved when he touched me.

“Let me know if there is something I can do,” I said softly.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

I nodded.
"If I think of anything, I'll let you know." I said softly.

[Isra Varousse]

I wanted to kiss him again, but restrained myself.

“We better get to lunch,” I said, laughing softly.

[Azriel Shahrizai]

"We're not far." I said smiling back at her as we headed in the direction I was sure the restuarant was in.

“Good,” I said, squeezing his hand and soaking in more of his presence. I had missed him so.
