“I don’t like it all the time, but sometimes it can be fun,” I said, smiling. “Shall we go look in the biographies?”

I nodded and began walking in that direction, she seemed less like she was upset at me and that I had been nice enough to make up for my mistake. "When was the last time you got lost?" I asked as we walked.

I thought for a moment. “A couple of months ago let myself wander through the stalls in the Doorstep, just looking at things and not paying any attention to where my feet led me.”

I smiled and nodded. "Adventurous." I teased with a grin.

“Sometimes,” I replied, laughing. “Are you adventurous about anything?”

I smiled. "I suppose so." I said shrugging. "Any travel I've done, I've done on a whim." I said thinking. "Thats how I ended up in Marsilikos."

“Ah, that’s just like getting lost on a grander scale,” I said, glancing at him and smiling.

I chuckled. "I didn't think of it like getting lost at the time," I said thinking about what drove me on my travels. "I was escaping, running away really." I shrugged a little.

I looked at him, even as I resisted the urge to ask what he’d been running from. Fortunately we reached the biographies.
“Here we are,” I said.

I studied the tomes for a moment, figuring out they were grouped by what a person did in life. I found the section with writers, my fingers softly trailing along the spines of the books as I searched. The poets were on a lower shelf, so I knelt gracefully to study them more easily. A smile of happy triumph curved my lips as I found what I was looking for.
Withdrawing the saffron colored book, I held it up to him.

“You’re welcome, Azriel,” I said, still smiling as I rose to my feet again. There was a little thought in the back of my mind about how unfortunate it was I would never get to say his name as it should be said, for his was a name meant to be moaned in pleasure. It was very clear there would never be a chance of that though, he was not attracted to me in the least. “I’m pleased they had it.”

"So am I." I said smiling, I looked around. "I have to admit," I began taking a breath. "I'm done shopping but I'm sad to loose your companionship. I don't have many friends in the City and more." I looked down at the book for a moment. "Do you think you'd be free to have lunch some time, or dinner perhaps. Or mayhap we could meet at the fountain next week and I could kick something else at you."

I laughed deeply and smiled. “It would be a pleasure to have lunch or dinner with you whenever you’d like,” I told him, smiling. “And you need not even risk ruining a gift by kicking it at me.”

I smiled, happy that she laughed. "Thank you Isra, for being so kind to me." I had an urge to kiss her cheek in thanks but refrained not wanting to be rude or lascivious.

“It is an easy thing to be, for you are a good, kind person and a pleasure to be around,” I told him. It was true, for while there had been a couple bad moments, I really had enjoyed his company.

I smiled and almost...almost blushed. "Thank you either way." I said softly. "But the day is not over yet, you promised to ferry me home."

“That I did,” I agreed, smiling still. “And once you pay for those books I shall keep my word.”

"Oh, and here I was looking to steal them." I said raising a brow to her. "You don't think they'll mind do you?" I grinned a little and turned moving toward where the shoppe keep was.

“They might at first, but I’m sure they’d let you go eventually,” I said, laughing softly as I walked up to the front of the store with him.

I chuckled and placed my books down, the man behind the counter told me the price and I fished out the silver centimes from my purse to purchase the books. When all was said and done I tucked the books under my arm and smiled to Isra. "Alright, looks like I've done all my shopping." I said some what sadly, though I smiled. "Ready?"

I smiled. "Then I had a proposition." I began. "How about I lend you one of my books and I'll read these books, and in a week we'll meet back at the fountain at say noon to have lunch and discuss the books we've read." I smiled. "Perhaps you could bring a book from your library that you want me to read for the week after that, and I'll bring another book for you."

“You’ve managed to get me excited about reading,” I said, smiling at him. “My teachers would be envious.”
I saw the carriage and angled towards it.

I chuckled. "They must not have the charm I do." I teased as I too saw the carriage and moved toward it with her.
