I had nothing better to do this day so I walked. I walked alone, shirtless so that anyone who passed would not be deprived. Today the only thing on my mind was my debut. I found a tree in one of the many gardins about the Night's Doorstep. I climbed it and hung from my knees upsidedown just thinking.

As was becoming usual for me, I'd been given a message to deliver, though this time it was for the Second and not our Dowayne. My classes completed earlier this morning, I made my way back from the flower shoppe and began wandering, no destination in particular in mind.
Passing by a garden, I looked out over the flowers and newly bloomed trees, not paying much attention to anything in particular. I was looking away again when I caught sight of a figure hanging; I did a double take and looked back again, pausing midstep. "Drop something?" I ventured quietly, an amused look on my face.
What on earth was he doing?

"Drop something? No, why would I be hanging from a tree if I had dropped something?" I replied with a grin. Flexing with every move I made, because she was one of the prettier girls here no doubt, I made my way off of the tree in a flip.
I walked up to her and smiled letting her get a good look at me.

"Some people look for things in strange ways," I replied, giving him a tiny grin. I watched as he made his way from the tree and over, his skin catching the light and reflecting with a soft, lovely glare. My hands tucked behind my rear as I stood, looking up at him with a smile. "What were you doing? Just hanging about?"

"I see," I replied quietly. "I'm Aurianne no Camellia, by the way."

"Andre" I extended my hand towards hers with a smug, but friendly grin. "Well met"

He reminded me of Mathieu a bit, confidence radiating outward through his lack of clothing and a smile that hinted he was rather pleased with himself. My smile broadened a little, knowing well enough how to appreciate such confidence, my hand slipping into his. "Pleasure is mine, Andre," I said, curious some if he were an adept or a peer. It was hard to tell.

I raised her hand to mine and kissed it lightly. "I take it you're not busy?"

My fingers curled into his slightly as he kissed my hand, noting how smoothly he led into it. "Not at all, actually," I replied, looking up at him, a slight tease entering my voice. "Are you planning on hanging from many more trees?"

"Perhaps. There is nothing better to do around here but think.. eat.. and the occasional tree hang." I released her hand. At 16 the world is incredibly strange. I wanted to talk with her, but decided to let her take the conversational lead.

"Depends on how you look at it," I replied, tossing him another smile as I looked down the street. "But, then again, you don't strike me as the kind who likes to shop for clothing, or jewelry." I paused, thinking. "Have you been to the Laughing Parrot? They usually have a band playing at this hour, if nothing else."

Ah, the thought of shopping for clothing. If I wasn't so pickey I would probably wear more of it. "I shop when I need to. I have to find something for my debut but I can't find anything that I like. The Laughing Parrott? No, I've never been there."

Ah, he was an adept then. I nodded, my lower lip catching between my teeth as I thought. "If it's not too bold," I ventured, "I think a deep blue would look rather striking on you."

She surprised me... "blue is my favorite color." It was a start, blue.

"A good place to start, then," I replied, my smile holding a vague line of shyness. "Silk seems to be popular too... You can feel anothers body straight through it."

Although I had never been close enough to feel a person through my clothes... by my own decision.. the thought of it was a good one. Yes, I had been trained, but I wasn't ready for any of this. "Blue silk then." I began to want to go find what I would wear. She seemed to have an eye for things, or at least what she told me sounded good. "A blue silk what?"

His question caught me off guard and I laughed for it, my humor rising considerably. "Would you like some help, Andre?"

"I'll see if I can find someone, then," I teased, flashing him a smile, then gestured up the road with a light hand. "There's a few shoppes this way." I waited for him to come before I began walking that way, my gait shifting naturally to match his pace.

I was walking around the night court doing my usual, shopping for paints and looking for something of or someone of interest. I had been tempted to bring a canvas but the Dowayne seemed to think I was "practicing" to much as of late. Since the house would like to sell some paintings that I create.
I saw a rather well built and topless boy walking with what appeared to be an adept. I had not meet her before if I recalled right, but she was pretty. I wondered if they were together and if saying hi would be such a good idea. I was not in the mood for drama. However I could sustain my curiosity for him. I would just drop a hint that he should let me paint him and then wonder off if they were together. Or maybe I could paint them both.
With these thoughts in my head I walked over there way and smiled at them both as I fell in step beside them. "Hello, I could not help but to notice a couple of lovely people taking a strol, do you mind if I join for a moment?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said a quiet "not at all" Then I continued to look straight ahead and follow.

The boy, who looked about the same age as me on closer look seemed to not mind my presence. Walking with them and smiling the most friendly smile I had I said, "thank you, my name is Aaliyah no' Eglantine, may I ask yours?"

I looked at the new girl out of the corner of my eye. "Andre no' Dahlia" She was pretty but small. None the less I did enjoy walking with two of my better looking fellow adepts at my sides. I may have slipped and actually smiled while we walked.

I was wondering idly what about him had changed - he had gone from smug and confident to quiet and not looking at me or anything else - when another girl stepped up. My first thought was to wonder whether or not they were romantically entangled, though that was nixed shortly after her arrival.
Before I could answer her, the two drove on, and I merely kept my silence. I wouldn't interrupt if there was some attraction there; I'd merely find a suitable place to make my exit. Smiling at the girl in a friendly way, I merely kept walking, my pace unhurried.

I continued to follow Aurianne trying to keep my eyes averted from either one so as to not cause any jelousy. I wasn't sure of what to say to either one now either. To break the awkward silence I asked Aaliyah "So, Aurianne thinks that a blue silk would look good for my debut. You being of elegantine house, would you agree?"
Inside I knew that Aurianne was right, but felt that getting them to agree on something would ensure that jelousy would not be a problem. I am a catch.

Aurianne did not introduce herself, but something told me that she was an adept, though I was never good at discerning all of the houses. Some houses were easier than others. I figured if she wanted to tell me which house she was apart of she would tell me. I only hoped she didn't think I was trying exclude her.
I took another good look at Andre at his question and pictured him in blue silk, I guessed they were talking about a darker color, though in truth he could probably wear both a dark shade. With a good excuse to ask her a question that was not personal I asked, "where you thinking a darker or light blue?"

"A darker, deeper shade," I said, offering her a smile across the broad chest of Andre. "I thought it might compliment his skin tone as well as his eyes." I glanced at him curiously, then back to her. "I'm Aurianne no Camellia, by the way."

I looked back at him as she spoke, seeing the shade, or at least something close that she saw. He would look good in dark blue, there would be no doubt about that.
"It is well meet Aurianne," I said with a smile then added, "I agree with you, he would look striking in dark blue silk."
