We began to walk down the street. "It seems to me," I said, "that I've been asking far too many questions of you, and you've asked almost nothing about me. Have you read my family history backwards and forwards?"

I laughed and shook my head. "Of course not my lord, I'm simply not the type to pry into a noble's life." I replied smiling.

"It's not prying," I said, "it's conversation."
I pointed into the window of a nearby shop at a mannequin wearing a beautiful blue dress hemmed with silver. "What do you think of that?" I asked. "Would you wear it?"

I smiled and nodded. "I would, but only on special occasions." I said looking it over. "Then tell me about yourself my lord, perhaps some of your interests?"

"I like riding and swordplay," I said. "Sometimes I read, but mostly legal books. What about you?"

"I enjoy riding." I replied smiling. "And I am trained in the art of swordplay." I turned my face to him and gave a wry smile.
"But it's mostly lineage and Namaah's arts that I give close attention to."

"Lineage?" My ears perked. "Anyone specific?"

"No one," I said smiling. "And everyone." I chuckled softly. "Its more something my teachers insisted on and I simply enjoyed it."

"In Camlach, on a small estate. My teachers where a husband and wife, a former Valerian and Mandrake respectively." I replied causally.

"I see," I said. "Which are you? That is, do you play the Valerian or the Mandrake in the bedroom?" It was not that she was to my taste, I was merely curious, and my tone said as much.

I smiled coyly. "Nether," I said with a raised brow. "And both." I looked away for a moment at a red gown that caught my attention. "I like that one," I said pointing over to it. "What do you think?"

I frowned, not understanding how one could be both the dominatrix and the submitter, but left the question unasked. "It is very lovely," I said. "It would suit you." And it would. The red accentuated the darkness of her hair and the paleness of her skin, but not in such a way that she looked sick. Rather it brought out the faintest blush in her cheek and lips. "Would you like to go try it on?"

I shrugged softly. "Alright." I smiled sweetly and moved through the door to the warmth of shop. The shop keeper appeared and smiled. "I'd like to see that gown." I said gesturing to the one in the window.

I followed her inside, taking in the gowns surrounding me. As fond as Azabelle was of clothes, her wardrobe paled in comparison to some of these gowns. Patiently I waited while the shopkeeper fetched the dress from the window, glancing at some velvet doublets in the corner. There wasn't a lot of men's clothing here, but what was there was quite fine.

The stewart handed the gown to a girl who hurried off to divider. I followed and once behind the thin material I undressed and slipped into the gown. The girl helped tie me in and I stepped back out into public view.
"Well?" I asked coyly.

My jaw dropped a bit; I hastily closed my mouth. I had been right about the dress accentuating her features, but the extent to which it did so was stunning. "You look beautiful," I said. "It's lovely on you."

I chuckled softly. "Thank you." I said feeling the fabric. "Shall I wear it to Longest Night?" I asked spinning slightly and letting the hem brush the floor.

I thought about it. The fete at the palace, there was an interesting tug in that direction; worrying my bottom lip I replied.
"Quite possibly," I twirled the hem slightly enjoying the feel. "I may attend a few fete's."

"Think on it," I said with a smile. "I think there is nothing I would like more than to dance with a beautiful woman in a beautiful red dress."

I chuckled. "Then I'll have to attend, at least for a few dances." I moved back behind the curtain and began to remove the gown. "I will take it Messire." I called to the shoppe keep.

Glancing back at the doublet rack, I stretched out a hand and grabbed a crimson one. I didn't care much what I wore at this point, but I might as well match her, at least a little bit. "I'll take this," I said, handing it to the proprietor.

Once dressed I came from behind the divider and toward the young boy Prince. "Careful now my lord," I said teasingly. "A girl could get the wrong impression at your flattery."

"Rest assured, Comtesse," I said, "my intentions are the purest of the pure and the most honorable of the honorable." I motioned to where two boxes sat on the counter. "The bigger one is yours." I handed the owner a small sack of coins to pay for my doublet.

I smiled and retrieved my own purse handing it to the owner.
"I should call for my man." I said to Pierre.
