I shook my head in sincere denial. "I'm afraid I've never met her," I replied soberly. "I can only tell you that she is filthy rich, so rich she makes the Sovereign Ducs and the Queen herself look like lepers, and that she has been rather active since her arrival in the city. There are other rumors, but most are so outrageous, I would waste our time repeating them."
I thought an instant. "Also... there are various shops on Night's Doorstep. One of them is owned by an Illyrian woman, and she has a lot of foreign goods. Mayhap she will be interested in a new supplier. I've not met her either, though, but the place is called Anezka Collections."

Well, someone that rich is bound to make a scene at some point. I'm not in a rush, I can take my time. Out of corner of my eye I noted the young lording lurking around the store. He must be bored if all he has to do is fun is spy on haphazard conversations. Directing my attention back to Yvan, I thought about his other suggestion. "Anezka." The word rolled off my tounge slowly, etching it into memory. He said its around Night's Doorstep, I guess I could try to find it after I'm done here.

I nodded, but the way he said the name... I had to ask, "Are you familiar with Illiryans?"
The clerk was done with his order, and I handed him the pants silently. He knew better than to interrupt.

"No, I can't say that I am." It was true enough. I'd maybe seen a few in the ports in Tiberium, but never carried a conversation with them. I'd heard all sort of rumors, and ideas, but I really didn't have any opinion of them. Yet somehow, I made a jest. "Is there anything I should know, they don't have Chiblins or anything, do they?"

And after a bit I simply made my way out of the shop and into the fresh outside air. It was a rather pleasant experience after the stuffiness of inside.

I grinned. "No, they don't," I replied with a smirk, "At least, I do not".
Gods, what was prompting me to be friendly, and to help this newbie, I had no idea. In any other circumstance, I would have not bothered. It must be Sirena... she was the only new thing in my life.
"They are reputed to all be pirates, but it is a wide exaggeration," I told him with a rakish grin, "but expect an Illyrian trader to be harsh on the negotiation side... unless it is a pretty woman."
The soft cling of the door registered, and I supposed it was that brat. Inwardly, I let out a sigh - that kid, he had something about him that made my skin crawl - that was quite a feat.
Soon enough, my order was ready. As Tabien wasn't quite responsive anymore I left him with a polite nod and made my way out. I had a woman to court.
