My morning classes finished, I found myself with a free afternoon due to the fact that my dancing instructor was ill. So, with permission from my Second, I went into Mont Nuit to replenish my sculpting supplies. Since it was only a hobby I never invested much of my coin on supplies, but I did try and ensure that the things I bought were of at least middle quality, otherwise it was just a waste.
The spring air and sun were lovely as I turned into the Artisan’s District, the skirt of my green gown fluttering around my legs in the slight breeze. A new stall greeted me right away and I wandered over to see what it offered.

The day was nice, and I was feeling very relaxed, so I'd left the Patron in the hands of my daytime tender and come into the Artisan's District hunting some small things for decoration, as well as gifts for a nephew's natale. I was, as always, in a leisurely mood and walked at a slow pace, looking over things and talking to the vendors before moving on to the next stall.
At one of the newly set-up areas a pretty, exotic woman in a green skirt stood looking at clays and tools, and I came closer to see if there were any finished works on display.

I felt the approach of someone and glanced up from the array of carving tools the stall offered. I smiled at the tall, well built man then looked back at a set of very delicate tools, wondering if they were truly worth the cost.

On another side of the booth were some carven pieces and, with a nod and a smile in return I moved to stand beside the lady and look them over. One of the pieces was a satyr, and chuckled softly to see it, then carefully picked it up. "How much?" I asked the seller.
"Ten ducats," he answered in a foreign accent- perhaps Flatlands, perhaps Chowat.
I was impressed, for the piece was very finely detailed and well-cured. "Did you make this yourself, or do you commission others to make such things?"
"By my own hand," I swore, hand over his heart. "With these tools such as the pretty lady is looking at."

I wasn’t eavesdropping, but I couldn’t help but hear their conversation. I looked up to see which piece the man was inquiring about and couldn’t help but smile when I saw the satyr. I stifled the low laugh that wanted to escape at how appropriate the piece seemed for the man holding it.
I looked up from the piece to the man’s face again, curious as to whether he was buying it for himself or someone else.

Then I'll take it," I told the artisan with a smile, reaching into my pocket for the ten ducats and winking at the woman who was looking at me so interestedly before turning to face her. "Do you think it could look good in a tavern, or will the appreciation of its art be lost in such circumstances?" I was flirting just a bit, but it wasn't as though it could do any harm, and I directed my question at her by meeting her gaze and raising a brow.

“Art may find appreciation in any circumstance,” I replied, holding his gaze and smiling. “But even if it doesn’t find an appropriate audience for its crafting, it may garner appreciation as a guardian for said tavern.”

"Perhaps, though I wonder what sort of raucous patronage a guardian such as Bacchus would bring me," I replied with a light laugh, and then handing the coins I'd found to the seller. "But I find I rather like him nonetheless. At least he is usually seen as a light-hearted deity, from what I recall."

“Yes, from what I’ve heard Bacchus is a light-hearted deity,” I agreed, moving closer to look at the piece he was purchasing. “Is this Bacchus though? I have never seen him represented as a half-goat.”

"Sometimes he's stylized as such," I said after a moment of thought, trying to sift through memories of schoolrooms long since left behind. "Or perhaps that's Pan. I think on occasion the myths get blended."
Shaking my head to clear the confusion I chuckled lightly. "This is exactly why I'm not a scholar," I told her cheerfully. "You're obviously much more informed on the subject than I, lady."

“Only because some basic knowledge of foreign deities is pressed upon us adepts,” I replied with a low laugh. I reached out and ran a finger over the statue, admiring the work that had gone into it. “It really is wonderfully made.”
As I withdrew my hand, I let my fingers brush is arm lightly in what could be interpreted as an accident if one wanted, while it was not meant so in the least by me.

An adept then- it made sense, if one thought about it. "I could understand why such knowledge would be important if one were to work in such a profession," I replied, smiling a bit wider under the brush of her hand and letting her see the approval and appreciation of her subtlety in my gaze. "And it is a very lovely thing, such work. You're of Jasmine?"

“I am,” I answered, smiling. “Isra no’ Jasmine, my lord.”
I was pleased greatly at his response to my touch. His skin had been warm and firm and my fingers still tingled slightly from the contact.

"Devon Kirasic, my lady," I replied with a smile, then shifted to hand the statue to the vendor again and asking to have it sent to the Patron when possible before turning back to Isra. Her fingers, even in that light brush, had held a bit of sensuality and I was pleased by it. Lightly taking the same hand I brushed a small kiss across the back, then winked.

If the brush of his skin had made me tingle, the touch of his lips made me burn.
“It is a pleasure to meet you,” I said. “I have heard many excellent things about your establishment.”

"I'm glad to hear it still maintains it's good standing," I replied as I stroked her palm, then slowly lowered her hand. "Have you ever been?"
She had a tension under her skin, and I well understood it, feeling the same way. I was always very careful about the adepts whose assignations I took, considering the nature of the business I owned- but Isra seemed like the right sort, and unlikely to try and abuse the adept-patron relationship.

“No, my lord, I haven’t had the pleasure,” I replied, shifting my weight so that my body was closer to his. My errands were forgotten as my desire bloomed bright.

"You should come by," I told her, eyes growing half-lidded as the warmth of her body washed over me a bit and I shifted closer as well in response. "In fact, how about some lunch? I was just about to head back."

“I would like that very much,” I replied, smiling and looking up at him through my lashes. Though in truth, food was one of the last things on my mind at the moment. The familiar ache of desire had filled me and I was more curious about the taste of his skin than his food.

The warmth of her skin was tantalizing, and I offered her my arm. "Do you need to tell your Dowayne where you are, or are you able to do as you like for the time being?"

“For the moment I can do as I like, as long as I don’t stray too far,” I replied, flattered that he thought of such a thing. I slipped my arm through his, letting my body brush against his. “I was given leave to run a few errands since my afternoon class was canceled.”

I could feel the lines of her body for a moment against mine. "So you're free for the afternoon?" I asked conversationally, brushing my body lightly against hers before we began to walk. "I was thinking of spending the rest of it in your company if so." It was a subtle, polite inquiry as to whether she'd take assignation with me, and I had a feeling she'd pick up on it nearly instantly.

“I would like that very much,” I replied with a smile. The fingers of the hand that rested on his arm stroked his skin subtly. My entire body was already warm with desire and I wished we were somewhere he could kiss me.

"Then, if you don't mind terribly, perhaps we should see to that before we eat," I suggested with a smile, stroking her hand in return, eyes warm with desire.

Chuckling low I nodded in agreement. "Then shall we?" I asked with a grin. "Or was there more you were meaning to do as far as shopping is concerned?"

Oh, but that was a most complimentary statement indeed, and I let the fact I thought so show on my features. "Then let's go speak to Cassander," I replied softly, catching her free hand and brushing a kiss across the back of it again, the scent of her skin warm and spicy-sweet.

“Yes, with all due haste,” I agreed, my voice catching slightly as his lips fanned the flames of my want. Turning my hand slightly, I let my thumb brush across the curve of his bottom lip, tracing its shape.

Her light touch against my lip caused me to sigh in pleasure and I kissed that lightly as well before I chuckled lowly again. "We should do that, before I feel more inclined to make a scene," I said softly, eyes thick with honesty at the fact though my tone held mirth at my own state.
