Some of you may or may not know that I volunteer during the winter months as a part time wrestling coach for kids ages 5-13. It is a pretty steep time commitment and thus from basically November through March those who have become accustomed to my normal schedule will see it alter a bit. But I will still be easily keeping up with my posting as I always do.

No growling! Have fun with it - I'm sure the kids will, and that they (and their parents) appreciate it.

A bump on this thread to give you guys an update. Had a bit of bad luck today, my son separated his shoulder in a match. Nothing permanently damaging but it effectively ended his season two weeks before the regional meet. He is hurting physically and with disappointment. He had clawed his way into the top 20 kids in the state and was set to make a run at an appearance at the state championships when this happened. Needless to say he is very disappointed. And his mom and I are disappointed for him.
I still have the rest of the team I coach and have to tend their year end stuff. So I am going to be sparse while tending that. I should be back to full speed in about a month. Till then I will post as I can.

I wanted to let you guys know I am scheduled to have surgery on my chronically defective sinuses on July 15. With some small amount of luck this will be more helpful than the last proceedure that in fact made things worse. I am told the recovery is about a week and we shall see how soon I am back to posting regularly afterward.

Aww! You get to have your face Roto rootered! It's supper fun (right...) I had it done two years ago, and really, it's not that bad. Day Of- you'll feel blissfully out of it, so many drugs it could kill a horse. Day two, well, you should get to go back to the doctor's office to have the packing removed and that is soooooo not fun. It's disgusting (giant clots come out with the packing gauze, creepy blood leeches) and it feels like someone kicked you in the face. After that it all gets better. I hardly hurt at all after the first three days, and then it was only when I had to irrigate my sinuses (which is weird, but feels really good after a while) or whenever I sneezed. For the love of god, don't sneeze!! Use a humidifyer at night, that really helps too!
Good luck! It's so freaking worth it!

Thanks Cris, I am all checked out on the irrigation as I have been doing that for the last 10 months! I had polyps removed last year and it was supposed to help but in fact made things worse. So now I have been on steroids and nasal spray and good old fashion suffering since and something has to give since from the latest blood work the roids will kill me if I do not get off them soon. It helps to hear from someone who has had it though as I have heard horror stories.
And kicked in the face is not THAT bad. They suspect part of my issues are the 14 odd broken noses I had while my wrestling career was active. Though I sure wish mixed martial arts would have gotten big before I got old that looks like a so much better way to make a living! And now I seem to be rambling.

Just nudging this to remind folks I am having surgery on my sinuses this Tuesday. Obviously I will not be posting Tuesday when I am back to it will depend on when I can come up with something more constructive than "give me drugs!" On a positive side they have decided to knock me out rather than do it under general which apparently was the first plan.

Am home from surgery and everything went well. I am not even in too much discomfort but then again they have me on a nice arrangement of drugs. So I should be around a bit as it sounds like I am sitting on my butt around home for two weeks while off work.

I let things slip up on me before posting this. I am heading up to Wisconsin tomorrow and with preperation today and work I doubt I get any posting done till Monday. Sorry for the inconveniance. We are looking at a place that supplies log homes before hopefully starting construction in the spring so I am a bit stressed.

To follow up on this plans for our new place are being drawn up….Golden Eagle Log Homes if anyone is interested in the web site Google it. So since the next several months appear to be filled with building and then moving (we hope to be in by like August) if I vanish for bits and pieces do not panic I will turn up sooner or later.

Thanks! Of course you can only be jealous if you are also jealous of the insane house payments I am soon to incur. But what can you do? I hear one can only allow one’s son and daughter to continue to share a bedroom in certain third world countries and Terre d’Ange.
