When I felt the stings slowly fade to a dull ache I peered up at Darien "Alright, are you pleased with how it came out?" I did not move my body as instructed but I was a bit anxious none the less. Such things are not matters that one gets a do over on. And then a thought made me smile wide and bright and I gave voice to it hopping Darien would be amused with the jest "Of course if it did not it is not like I have to see it." My eyes twinkled a bit in mirth at the thought.

"Fortunately for both of us, it's perfect," I replied, smiling.
I cleared away my tools and gathered the salve and bandages, plus a small mirror.

I chuckled at that and did not move waiting for him to show and/or tell me what to do. Though I did note the mirror "You know oddly if it was not I suspect it would probably bother you more than it did me."

"Well, I don't know about how much it would bother you, but it would drive me crazy," I agreed, chuckling. "I would fix it for free and you would definitely get a discount on future marquings."
I retrieved the second small mirror and handed it to him. "Hold this and I'll show you how it looks before I bandage you up."

I took the mirror and adjusted my grip on it and its angle at his instruction "Well I doubt seriously either of us have to worry overtly about that. You seem to know your business well." I glanced up then "Speaking of bandaging, are there any precautions I should take to make sure infection and the like do not become an issue?"

"I'll put a salve on before the bandages to both help the pain and fight infection. Keep the area dry and covered as much as possible until it's healed and you should be fine. If the redness doesn't go away, it starts to itch badly, or any other signs of infection occur go to Balm right away," I replied.
I angled the second mirror precisely so that his marque would be reflected where he could see it. "There you are," I said, with a smile.

“I shall do that” I inclined my head and then peered into the mirrors to inspect the work. A small smile creased my features and I replied “It looks very good thank you.”

"My pleasure," I said, setting the mirrors aside. "Before you know it we'll be limning the last two inches."
I smiled and began applying the ointment carefully.

I settled down and let him apply the ointment and the other after procedure niceties "Probably, but I am not in a terrible hurry really. From what I have seen too many adepts get in too much of a rush to complete their marque. I do not plan on being obsessive about it all."

"Then you are likely to enjoy it all the more," I commented as I finished with the ointment and then began wrapping him in bandages. Once done, I tied them off and stood back.
"All done, but I would suggest slow movements when you get up, the spot will still be tender."

“Thank you” I stood carefully as Darien had suggested. I then moved back to the curtain and got dressed in a gingerly fashion. Once I was done I recovered the pouch of coins for payment from my garments and handed it to him “I really do appreciate all your attention to details by the by.”

I inclined my head with a small grin "Have a good rest of your day Darien." And with that I took my leave though there was not quite the same spring in my step. I was as to be expected a little on the sore side. My backside actually though not right on the backside now that would be an amusing place for a marque.

Before beginning to clean up, I watched Ghislan leave. He seemed a really nice young man and I hoped to see him again, even just out.
