"Er, alright." I blinked a little confused. They seemed like new books to me, so I was more or less guessing. I shrugged, and walked politely past her. Looking around quickly, I purchased a few other things, some blank books, quills, and ink. The clerk looked at me confused, seeing Shona, gave me a wink.
I blushed, for I feared he was mistaken in what he thought. Then again, maybe I didn't know what was going on.

I grinned watching the visibly socially impaired Tabien leave. He visibly had no idea who he considered contracting, and that was completely confirmed by Patrick's wink and his bewilderment at it.
Once the door closed with a soft clang, Patrick caressed my hair, and said, "He'll never know what hit him, won't he?"
I smiled devilishly, and said, "I don't know, but likely not."
I thought an instant. A month ago, I would have eaten him alive.
I must be getting soft.
