"Alright, well I'll leave you alone then." I said with a smile, knowing how difficult it was to pick something when you had someone breathing down your neck.

"I'll just be a moment," I said, grinning. "I have impulsive tastes with books, and sine I usually end up reading all of them it doesn't seem to matter."
I headed over to the section we had just left and began running my finger along the spines of the books. Within less than a couple of minutes, I had decided on the black bound book that had caught my eye earlier.
Book in hand, I returned to where Juliette was.

I had had my eye on a book when she had almost walked into me, and was quick to retrieve and pay for it, returning to my location before Raegan could.
"Would you like to go come over for lunch?" I inquired when she returned, book proudly held.

"Oh, I would love to, but I have to go see my father's factor in half an hour," I said, a bit dismayed at not being able to accept. I really was enjoying her company and it would be so nice to have a friend here. "I'm sorry."

"That's alright." I smiled easily. It was always easier when they had a believable excuse. "You'll just have to drop in for a book sometime."

"I really would like that, thank you," I said, smiling. "And now I have even more incentive to get my books arranged so that you can come and look through mine as well."
This really was turning out to be a wonderful excursion, a new book and possibly a new friend - what could be better?
"I should go and pay for this before I forget and walk out with it anyway," I said, chuckling. "It was a real pleasure to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again."

I smiled. "Well good luck with that one." I indicated the book. "And I hope to see you again soon." I gave a little wave.
And with that I left Armands with my new purchase and something to tell my mother. She was going to be so proud that her little baby was making friends. I chuckled quietly to myself as I headed down the street.

I returned her wave and watched her go before going to the counter to pay for my book. Coins handed over and wrapped book beneath my arm, I returned to my carriage.
The carriage began to sway as the driver headed us to where my father's factor was. I was not looking forward to having to sit with the man who tended to talk to my chest instead of my face, but even that thought couldn't dim the glow of happiness I felt for having made a new friend.
