I inclined my head "A good suggestion." I went on to explain "I could have stayed at the Palace I suppose, but I feel that it is better to get a feel for the people away from the upper crust."

"The palace is a good place to make connections though, and the Hall of Games can be very entertaining. There are a wider array of people there than one would expect."

"I did not say I planned to avoid the place like the plague. Just not become totally blind to matters outside. Of course if you think my thinking on it is wrong I would appreciate hearing your candid thoughts on the matter."

"I didn't mean to offend, I just wasn't sure if you were aware that there was more intermingling of classes here than in many other nations," I explained. "I have visited plenty of nations were the royalty never see the peers of the realm except from their palace windows. Here, while there is still division, the lines are far more blurred than many other nations."

I cringed a bit I was not offended and had not meant to offend her either. "No, no that was not what I meant. Well, mayhap a little, but I am by no means offended. It takes a lot to offend me all things said. And I hope I did not stick my foot in my mouth too deeply."

"Not in the least," I replied, smiling. I hadn't been offended at all, I just wanted to make his dealings here in Terre d'Ange as smooth as possible.

I smiled "And I seem to be totally out of words. How about this weather we have been having?" It was said in joke and of course there were things I could say but I was attempting to lighten the tone once more.

I laughed at his jest. "The weather is lovely, I always like spring. How was your trip from Illyria?"

"Uneventful and I must confess I am a fall person myself. " I folded my hands neatly and let them rest on the table and then carried on in polite enough tones "But this whole discussion has been all about me, me, me. Mayhap there are some ways that Illyria and I can help you and your business. You have been plenty forth coming and helpful. For that you have earned the same in return obviously."
And on more reliable ground I even felt comfortable enough to flirt a bit. She was attractive as well as pleasant and this was turning out to be a light hearted way of performing my duties. Indeed, I think I was getting the feel of this City and her laugh sounded really nice as well "Though of course you have probably ruined me for the rest of the day with the little hint you gave at your personal specialties. It just makes the mind wander."

"Is that so?" I asked, allowing a deeper level of flirtation to enter my smile and voice. "And just where is it that I've made your mind wander? Perhaps I'd like to join in on the journey."

That honestly made me laugh, deep and loud though I soon gained control and winked at her. Not feeling nearly as self conscious as I had earlier in the week. Though the fact she kept leading helped me keep pace. It was rapidly occurring to me that I needed a woman who would direct me.
"Well it is a dark, and warm place lady Mirsada and when it comes to me I sorely need a tour guide in such matters so if you will lead the way I shall gladly take your hand and make the descent with you."

My smile grew.
"Perhaps we should start somewhere familiar then, a meal perhaps? Are you free for dinner later?"

"I am" I smiled as well though some color rose to my cheeks. I was a bit more steady now after having had some interaction with D'Angeline women, but I was sure my inexperience still showed. I did my best to not subject Mirsada to the horrid bouts of bashfulness I had others. "Do you have anything in particular in mind?"

"I would like to invite you to my home. I have an excellent cook and he would be delighted to have someone new to show off for," I said, smiling. "I would be honored to show you some d'Angeline hospitality."

"And I am honored to accept. I must say I have been treated very kindly here." I was smiling as well as I found her a very easy person to talk to.

"I am very pleased to hear that. Is there anything you particularly like or don't like to eat, so I can tell my cook?"

"No not really. I will eat just about anything and am not opposed to trying new things either."

"Good, I'm pleased to hear you like new things," I told him, my smile making it clear I didn't mean food.

I felt my cheeks burn but I kept my composure as best I could. “Um, when would you like me to call? And I can bring desert if it would not put your cook out too much.” Though the idea of desert now sent my mind wandering in directions that were not exactly wholesome.

"Seven, if that works for you. And yes, a dessert would be lovely. I always enjoy dessert."

“That works splendidly and I shall be looking forward to it.” I stood and offered a small bow. “Though now I must be going to prepare the desert or at least figure out what it is.”

Rising, I walked him to the front door. "I look forward to seeing you again," I said, handing him a calling card with my home address on it. "Until then."

"Until then" I accepted the card and took my leave.
