I shook my head, hands still clasped behind my back. "No, not really, just looking for something to remind me of it." I smiled softly. "I have a few items I was able to bring back with me but I'm afraid I fell in love with the country and now wish to add more to my collection. Perhaps you have some suggestions?"

"It is a beautiful land," I said, nodding slightly. "I was only able to make the trip once, but I have always thought that when I tire of running my business that it would be the first place I visited again."
I led him over to a display case at the back of the side wall.
"These are some of my favorite items from there. Not the most elaborate or expensive, but I think they are the most beautiful," I told him.
The case contained a myriad of items, including several teas pots with matching cups, a couple of dolls, a rice paper journal, a herd of tiny carved jade elephants, and many other items as well.

I shook my head. "Its nice but I'm afraid nothing speaks to me." I ran my gaze over the collection. "I'm looking for something unique, larger." I shook my head again. "Forgive me for my stubborness." Smiling politely I looked back to the items.

"Nothing to forgive, part of what I enjoy about my job is find the right item for my patrons. I think you may be more interested in the items over in the back. I f you would follow me," I said, smiling. I led him to the far back, where I had added an alcove especially for these items. The alcove held amazing pieces of furniture and statues - some taller than me.

I nodded and followed her to where she had gestured, seeing larger items I smiled. "Yes, I like them very much." I unclasped my hands and ran a hand over a few choice items.

These items had been difficult to transport back from Ch'in, but it had been worth every struggle. There were a very few people who wanted something just like this and nothing else would do.
"These items are all quite special," I said, lightly caressing an inlaid chair. "Since they are such large items for a home, I do allow you for a trial period. If something just doesn't look right once you get it home, or you find you don't love it as much as you did when it was here, we can arrange to exchange it for something else."

I looked over the items and found one, a phoenix and dragon, prized mythic creatures from Ch'n, wound within each other and a large clear stone held in their joinning talons.
"This one," I said raising a brow and looking back to her. "How much?"

"1850 ducats," I said, meeting his gaze. There was a bit of bargaining room in the price, but not much to be honest. These items were all very expensive.

I smiled and looked back at her.
"I'll give you 2000 if you include this item here," I pointed to large fan with intracate designs, I'd seen many like them and had wanted to take one but for the room. "And this one." I said pointing to a large sitting figure, one of the Ch'n gods I enjoyed looking at.
"You also have to have them delived to my home." I smiled turing back to her and clasping my hand back behind me.

I did quick calculations in my head, and then weighed the prospect of bargaining with the potential future patronage.
"Deal," I said, smiling.
"And all delivery is always included," I told him, still smiling and pleased that the items would be going to someone who seemed to appreciate them. "Is there anything else you would like to see, or shall we go handle the paperwork side?"

I raised a prospective brow to the other items, after a moment I sighed. "I think for the moment that will be all," I turned back to her. "But, included in the price is the guarentee that you notify me the moment new shippments from Ch'n come in." I smiled playfully with my still raised brow.

"Of course, my lord," I said, smiling a much more genuine and less professional smile.
I led him back to the counter, pulling out the paperwork and deftly filling in all the details before sliding it over to him to look over and fill in his portions before signing.

I grined wide following her with a quick glance to my future items before finding myself at the counter. Reading over it I nodded and scratch a signature.
"Excellent." I said looking back to the door then back to Mirasada. "If you don't mind me asking, the gentlman you were speaking with, who is he?" I smiled politely but kindly.

"That was Duc Sylvestre de Valmont, sovereign Duc of Siovale," I told him, smiling as I signed my name. "Would you like you items delivered immediately?"

I raised a brow and filled it away, Elua what had happened since I had been gone, I had hear of the Sovereign Duc of Siovale's death. So that was his replacment, interesting. I turned back to Mirsada.
"Yes, please." I smiled politely as I turned back. "Though theres no rush."

"I will have them delivered later this afternoon," I told him with a smile. "There should be another shipment of items from Ch'in arriving not long after Midwinter, as long as there are no weather delays. I will make sure and notify you as soon as they arrive so that you can have first look."

"That sounds perfect."

"I must admit," I told him. "I am glad these items are going to someone who wants them for more than just their fashionable value. At times it is a hard line between running a business and parting with favorite items."

I laughed lightly, returning his smile.
"If I was to come see them I might suddenly start finding others things you needed to fill your house with," I replied. "It's much easier to show a patron the right item when you can picture the empty places in their home."

I shrugged. "Its worth the risk." I said as I tied my purse back to my waist. "Besides, I have horrible taste in decoration and my town house is empty save for a few items. It might do me good to have a trained eye see the empty spaces."

I quickly thought over whether I would have time to visit his home before my dinner, and decided I would. Plenty of time.
"It would be a pleasure," I told him. "Say around three?"

"I will see you then," I said, watching him go.
I smiled, thinking that this had ended up being a wonderfully busy day. I slid everything back in it's place.
"have you found anything else to catch your eye?" I asked the woman after I moved back to where she was. I smiled and glanced at the items she was currently looking at.

When the bell had sounded above the door, I gave a quick glance at the man who entered. The way in which he carried himself, and with the strong gaze, I could almost taste the noble title he held, as though it were a sweet candy that I savored on my tongue. Too beguiled by the displays, as well as listening to the conversation, I didn't give the man much thought. I was still browsing when the Duc left the store, and out of the corner of my eye I watched as Madame Anezka moved to help the man who had entered just moments ago.
Having browsed through one half of the store, I made my way to the other side, my hands clasped in front of me. There had been a few items that I would remember to ask Mirsada about. Passing by the noble and Madame Anezka, my ears tuned into the beginning of their conversation. Brys de Warrene. Warrene, I had heard only a briefing of that duchy. I guessed that I would see him again.
I was through browsing the entire store when the Duc de Warrene had left, and I turned to Madame Anezka with a delighted smile. "I have found many more things that have caught my eye than I can afford, Madame," I said, followed by a gentle laugh. "I am interested in purchasing a large oval mirror. If you have any carved wooden mirrors, that would be wonderful. I have a few ideas as to where I would put it. Fortunately my grandfather, Childric d'Essoms, had kept his town home well-furnished. I am also looking for a small, functional fan from Ch'in." I decided to throw my grandfather's name into the open. It was subtle enough, I think.
Although my grandfather loved Ephesus, he had not decorated the house with much Ephesian influence. I would feel much more at home if I furnished the house with such items. "And, tell me Madame, what interior decor do you have from Ephesus or Khebell-im Akkad?"

A name dropped with the subtly of shattering glass, she must not have spent much time at court - or if she had she needed to work on her delivery.
"The functional fans from Ch'in are here," I said, smiling and leading her to the case holding the items I had first shown Brys. "I have my larger mirrors on a wall in the back room, otherwise they turn this place into an oven when the sun hits them, I will take you to them in just a moment."
I thought about the other things she had mentioned.
"My Akkadian stock is rather limited at the moment I'm afraid. After the recent Akkadian fete was announced, there was quite a run on those items. I do have a few more items from Ephesus, though. Are you looking for functional items such as furniture or more decorative things?"

"Yes, it is completely understandable. I would rather the items be from Ephesus," I smiled, thinking of home. I was only able to bring a few pieces of furniture from my quarters back home, and the idea of purchasing more items left me brightened with joy.
Looking at the selection of fans from C h'in, my eyes came upon a white fan with a beautiful floral pattern of pink buds and dark-red flowers bursting from vines of dark-green. With a pointed finger, I said, "I must say, this one catches my eye the most. I will have it, and we can discuss its price after I choose the mirror and look through your selection of Ephesian items. How does that sound?"

"That sounds reasonable," I said, smiling and picking up the fan she had indicated.
"If you would follow me," I said, laying the fan on the counter next to the box with the swan on it.
I led her into the room just behind the counter. One wall was lined with mirrors, some large enough to see all of yourself at once, some more suited for a hallway and should only the upper portion of your body. They were all unique and all framed in differing materials.
"Here they are," I told her, smiling and motioning for her to look around.
