"Is that much of a matter in Ruskovia?" I asked, curious. "In Ummaiyyatt, there is no such consideration. Some rulers have wives twenty years younger than they... If she is comely, pleasant, willing to bear heirs and to have a life of peace and quiet... that is all I ask. The role of first wife to the Sultan comes with official functions, mostly social, and so a pleasant demeanor is very important. Younger is not bad," I concluded, grinning. "That is... if she will have me..."
Olga... I tasted the name in my mind. It was singingly pretty.

My eyes narrowed just slightly and my brows came together a little bit. A thread of dislike knitted itself into my impression of him as he spoke of younger women, these were my sisters after all.
"Alright," I said, nodding slightly as my expression smoothed again. "I will take your petition to my father. You are staying at the inn still?"

“Yes, I am,” I replied blandly. “Shall I await your word, then?”
It seemed my welcome was almost outstayed – and so I patiently waited for my cue to leave.

"Yes, I shall send word in the next day or two," I told him, standing and moving behind my desk. I had much to think about in his proposal before speaking with father later.

I stood just an instant after he did, and extended a handshake. "Thank you for your time, Knajz, - if anything, for taking a moment to hear my plea."

"You're welcome, Prince. I will send word to you soon," I repled, shaking his hand.

I bowed as I had upon entrance, and took my leave. I wasn’t sure that my plea would have a favorable outcome, but I would wait.
“I will have patience,” I replied as I left.
With that, I returned to the Inn, and awaited for the Knajz’ reply.
