I smiled at Azabelle and shook my head slightly. "Take the bottle if you wish, but I figured I'd just sleep down here for a few hours before lighting out at dawn. Which isn't too far off now. I just-" wanted to see Juliette? No. I just needed to be near her, even if it was separated by the entire enormous house.
"I just need a few hours rest and I swear I'll be my usual charming self again. Go to bed, love."

Gods, I wished I knew what to do for him. I leaned down, kissing his cheek, then taking his hand in mine as I straightened. "Reese, if you ever need to talk I'm always here. You're my annoying little brother, and I'll always love you." I gave him a quiet, supportive smile, squeezing his hand before letting go. "Get as much sleep as you can, and don't leave without saying goodbye. Even if you have to wake me up to do it."

"Thank you, love. I appreciate it. To bed with you now. You need tor rest to be my radiant, clever older sister." I gave her hand a squeeze and dropped it, shooing her out. "I'll wake you, or leave you a note here before I go." I settled onto the chaise and gave her a half smile. "I mean it. Thank you Bella Mia."

"Alright, alright," I said, doubling his smile with a full one of my own. "Sweet dreams, Reese."
I turned and made my way from the library, my smile slipping off my mouth as soon as I was sure he wouldn't see it. I feared for him, for what Gratien would do if he ever found out, what would happen to Juliette. Gods, I loved all three of them.
This was a horrible situation, and yet terribly romantic.
Opening the door, I looked back at him, then shut it softly behind me, making my way back to my rooms.
