It was amazing, the things you could learn by watching people interact with someone besides yourself. Already Ana was honing in on his weaknesses while Yvan tried to skirt whatever it was that brought them up. "I'm sure he'll have mine," I said, smiling. "Perhaps I'll have to come here more often."

"Perhaps you will," I replied quizzically. And I would likely enjoy taking her back her to dinner, if she accepted it. "How lovely that we all share in such tastes," I added with a rakish smile, for I was thinking of a million other pleasures, most of them involving nudity and pain.

"A few," I teased, slightly obstinate simply because i would be and thought he'd appreciate the humor. It would be very pleasant to hear him scream under a lash.

"Alas, a few is better than none," I replied with a sigh of resignation, followed by a teasing grin. We were very much on the same page, it seemed.

"Not much," I replied, toying with the curl that hung over my shoulder again. "But I have been know to be incorrect before. It may even be fun to do so this time. Have you been to L'Roches?"

My smile was wide. I knew L'Roches rather well, and prized their innovations, although... "I've been to L'Roches before, although... my tastes take me to Mandrake, often enough," I told her honestly. I had no shame in that taste - and in telling her - her kin were well enough verse in those dark arts.

"I've never been, but I hear they're fantastic," I said as I sipped my wine delicately. "I suppose I have enough toys but it's hard for a girl to resist looking at more. Would you recommend it?" I let my voice become a slight, musical caress.

"It is worth taking a look." I said, well aware how often I had a chance to interject. Not that I minded in the least. I thought it might be safe enough to start patting myself on the back. "The owner is... rather well suited for her job." I had respect for Leala. There was steel beneath that mothering exterior.
The meal arrived, and the server was efficient and graceful in his manner. I idly wondered if he was Night Court trained.

Oh, Sirena's voice was but a song of enthralling bliss, and I smiled to myself. It seemed there would be a great deal of things I would do, to hear it again and again.
"She is," I replied, agreeing with Anacrasia fully, "and rather imaginative in her new creations. They are my main interest, truly."

"Then I'll have to be sure to stop by," I said with a smile, napkin going gracefully to my lap as the plates were set before us.

I usually would not be so straightforward... but just this time, it didn't seem unfit to do so, and I gallantly offered, "Mayhap you would enjoy some company, when you do?"
Gods, it would be so very informative, to follow her to L'Roches, and to see where she lay... yes, oh yes, I hoped she would take the bait.

"I think I would," I replied, glad he'd taken the initiative I'd been hoping and asked me. It would be interesting to see what made him shudder and what he was so used to as to express indifference. "What;s your favorite thing there?"

I began on my lamb and vegetable, listening to their banter. I kept quiet, knowing she would want to have this exploration to herself. Besides, every answer had been different when I asked him. It would be informative to see how he responded to her.

I replied to Rena with a rakish smile. "I'm very whimsical," I said, my eyes assessing her expression. "A bit of this, a bit of that... it's the interest of such a place. It prevents boredom."
That was the core of it. Boredom. I couldn't bare to be alone in my own thoughts anymore.

Smiling wider I nodded in understanding. "Boredom is, I think, the greatest trial one can undergo," I replied. "Any escape from it should be sought." I did so quite often, from the dreams and thoughts that I loved but knew others didn't understand, to paint the world in simpler colors.

I nodded in understanding. It seemed I wasn't the only one who had musings to escape, after all.
"Then perhaps this quest can be achieved as a team, rather than alone," I told her gravely.

"Perhaps," I replied, raising a brow. What burden lay in him? It was deep and I knew better than to start digging for it here. "What do you propose?"

I was being bold, but not reckless. "Exactly what I suggested," I told her, my eyes delving deep into those cerulean eyes that mirrored a million contradictory things. "Partnering, in the quest to vanquish boredom, in the ways that best suit you," I explained.
Heavens, at this rate, I was going to propose before desert. The thought amused me greatly.

I chuckled. I couldn't help myself. But they were being so... so careful, so serious. Young and old, all at the same time. "A never ending war." I observed.

"Aren't most personal battles?" I replied, raising a brow and smiling at Ana before turning to Yvan and taking a small bite of my chicken. I wanted to make sure of these things before I came near committing to them. If I wasn't, I could lose my Tal to jealousy or anger, or even too much softness.
"And what about the things that suit you?" I asked him interestedly. "Do you trust me so far as to assume my desires and yours will mesh completely?"

I grinned rakishly. "I guarantee you, there is very little that does not please me, and what pleases me utterly is usually of high-caliber," I replied with just a tad bit of arrogance. It wasn't a lie though - the utter advantage of being under, for me, was that I would simply receive pain, and relish it. My mind flashed with the memory of loosing conscience over pain before I called my signale - indeed, there was little I didn't accept.

His words caused me to raise a brow as he remembered, nearly shining with the pleasure of the memory. Everyone had limits. "Then I look forward to many chances to meet with you further."

Oh perfect. Now perhaps we could have more actual conversation than innuendo.
No wait, what am I thinking? I know better than that.

I smiled, and it took a great deal of my own will not to let it be somewhat sheepish. Anacrasia was silent throughout the whole exchange, and I turned my attention to her, lest I offer myself to Sirena on the spot.
I gave her a look that was both warm and prying, somewhat affectionate, in my own way, and I said, "I would give good ducats to know what is going on in that mind of yours, my dear Lady Shahrizai."

I smiled. The smile he knew only too well. "Ducats aren't usually the first thing you offer Yvan." The tease crept into my voice. The affection in his manner was infectious. "And I was merely reflecting on conversation styles."

I grinned, looking at her under my eyebrows, teasing her greatly, though part of my words were still aimed at Sirena.
"But I try to be diversified, is all, in such lovely presence... I would hate to be a source of boredom," I said in all sincerity.
I did like being around the Shahrizai kin - I barely ever had to lie to them.

Laughing lightly at his words I replied, "Was than an innuendo wrapped in a statement reasoning why you make innuendos? I could swear it was... How clever."

But of course, my precious siren.
I grinned at her, all teeth showing, and let out a small chuckle. "I aim to please, no innuendo intended," I said with a little twinkle of self-derision in my eye.

"Oh, of course not," I replied innocently, as though I'd never take his words as such, though in reality that was all I did take them for. Delicately I sipped my wine, then licked my lips, knowing that even though I didn't hold his gaze in a complete grip he would have seen it.

Ah, but she was teasing still, always teasing, and I was getting impatient to see what she was promising with those eyes, those mimics and those words come to fruition. Oh, but to see her in her glory – now that would be sublime, would it not?
It seemed we had fallen to a halt in the teasing, and it was apparently up to me to keep up the conversation. Fair and well, I would.
“Of course. But I am curious, what other games please you? I have no doubt that you excel at this one, but I cannot imagine that one such as you would tolerate the limits of only one interest.”
