"That doesn't mean you can't learn how," I suggested helpfully, giving him a confident smile. "People learn new things all of the time. And even if you don't I bet there would be some people who would ask you instead."

I shrugged and then spun her out. "Perhaps. Maybe you could teach me a little bit?" I suggested with a smile of my own.

"Teach you to ask people to dance?" I asked in a slightly teasing tone, cocking my head. "I'd say you did a pretty good job on me just a few minutes ago. We ended up dancing, so you were successful." Eric really was sweet and he'd probably be more confident after the first party or two when he did learn the kind of sway he could have. Hopefully it wouldn't jade him.

She had a good point and it made me laugh a little. "I guess so. The idea kinda has me excited now!" I was quite looking forward to a celebration. It'd be nice to try and be normal in that area as well.

"Good, because it should. Parties are supposed to be fun as far as I'm concerned and the kind that make you nervous aren't really parties at all," I told him with a light laugh, further encouraged by the cheerful expression on his face. "They call them fetes but they're really more like meetings at that point."

I cocked my head as we continued to dance, keeping rhythm now without any help. "What's the difference then?" I had always assumed a party and a fete were one and the same.

Laughing lightly I gave him an apologetic smile. "It's my own personal definition I guess. Parties are places where you have fun and can be yourself. Sometimes fetes are like parties, and sometimes they're places when you have to remember to behave just so, never get too loud and remember to speak to the right people. I don't like the last type too much, I'd rather just have fun."

I nodded. "I see now. I always just assumed that most of them were like the latter. Is there a way to now ahead of time which ones are worth going to?"

"It's easiest if you know the people throwing the event and who's going to be there, but even at the drier ones there's at least some dancing," I told him confidently. "Generally the younger the person hosting, the more fun it will be, at least for me."

"That makes sense. Older people care more about keeping an image, rather than actually creating a fun environment." I spun her once more and then brought the dance to its conclusion, with a huge smile on my face.

When he spun me I laughed and then dropped into a slight curtsy as the dance came to its end. "See, I knew you'd be great," I told him as I rose and clapped quietly, smiling brightly at my friend. "That was fun!"

I laughed. "Thank you! Should we go on that tour of the house now, Noemi?"

"That sounds like an excellent plan, my friend!" I said in a cheerful, teasing tone. "Will we look for secrets on the way or do you just want to see the rooms that you haven't been in so far?"

"Could we not do both? I mean we can see the rooms, then in each maybe poke around a lil bit," i offered.

"Yes, let's do that," I agreed readily, brushing down my skirt to make sure it was neat and lightly patting the flower in my hair. "And remember, if you help me find a hidden fortune you get at least half."

I laughed. "Of course... Well I think you should get more, because it's your house. But I won't press the matter," I said with a wink. "Lead the way!"

"That's right, you should never argue with someone like me about things like distribution of wealth because I was really bad at that subject and would get confused," I said in a teasing tone, then walked over to the door that led inside and opened it wide. "Onward then, to discover things no one's ever discovered!"

With a solid nod I took a long stride into the house and then quickly stopped. "Umm, perhaps you'd better lead the way. Woman's intuitions and all that." I laughed and then waited for her.

"And I do at least know the floorplan," I said playfully as I stepped in past him and looked around, then started for the first door. "This one is actually where I was when you arrived, the study I converted into a practice room so I could do my ballet." Opening the door I showed the medium-sized room with mirrors hung on the walls and a bar across one side for balancing, then stepped in. "What do you think?"

I took a look around, actually somewhat surprised by the mirrors all around. It looked like something one might see in Eglantine or Jasmine. "Looks like quite the place. Do you have a dance instructor that comes or do you practice alone?"

"I practice alone when I'm here, but I signed up for some classes at the Academy and go there a couple of days a week so I can make sure I stay in good form," I told him, then smiled and did a single pirouette on my tiptoes since I didn't have my pointe shoes on at the moment. "I'm not as good as a professional but it's a lot of fun for me and I do my best at it. It's good exercise too."

I smiled. "I see, " I told her with a slight nod of the head. "It's good to have a hobby like that, though I have to find one of my own."

"You could start drawing more, I bet you'll be fantastic at it," I said in a confident tone. "It's something you can learn on your own if you wanted to. I never had any knack for it but I wish I did, it seems so much more permanent than holding a ballet pose just so."

I thought about it and then nodded. "I suppose I could do that. I don't think I'll ever really become an artist, but I can see myself truly enjoying it." I sat down on the floor and watched her dance. She truly did have skill.

"I don't think it really matter whether or not you'll be perfect as long as you love what you're doing," I told him with a smile as I switched poses to stand on one foot, the other raised behind me and my arms arched over my head before I relaxed to my regular standing posture. "Art is best when it's something that the creator loved."

I nodded at that. "I suppose that's right, though I think it should still look good, which is fine, because I'm not bad at it ... and can probably become even better."

"I'm sure you're good now, and with practice you could be great," I replied in all sincerity. "I can just see you sitting on a bench somewhere with your hat on, a sketchbook in your lap and holding a pen as you draw inspired things. And girls love artists too, they'd always be asking you for portraits and the like."

The idea made me laugh. "I could see that. I think it would be quite fun, and maybe even a bit profitable." My face then blushed. "Though I don't know why you insist on bringing the girls to me." I smiled despite the redness on my cheeks.
