"Yes, we should definitely go riding sometime..." I said, thinking aloud, "I should love to be able to shoot a bow and arrow from the back of a moving horse, can you do that?" I suppose I wasn't much better than those that stared at poor Faolan as an oddity about the palace, here I was always pestering her with questions! Well, at least I had the nerve to come out with it, rather than simply stare and whisper.
"Oh, I don't mind." I answered, waving a hand negligently. "In fact, I think I shall find it a welcome change from being quietly ignored." Well, not that I felt slighted ever, but still, I hardly stood out in a roomful of other d'Angelines. "It must be nice, not to be so ... well, dull and ordinary." I said, a touch wistfully.

I found her curiosity nice. It wasn't the type of prying probing questions that most d'Angelines would ask, these were... different, and it just seemed like innocence coming from her rather than something used as a barbed compliment, or with any sort of connotation attached.
I chuckled and nodded my head. "Yes, I have been able to from a very young age," I said wtih a smile. "It is rather nice, you have to centre yourself, mentally and physically and its almost as if everything around you starts moving in slower motion," Iexplained as we walked. I did have to laugh, again, when she mentioned being ignored. "I dont know," I said softly. "I sometimes wish I could blend into the background. I am proud of who I am, of what I am," I said with a smile, "I just feel nervous being looked at like I am an oddity or like the next man who looks at me wrong is going to feel my savagery," I said with a snort.

"It's funny," I said, as we continued to walk, "That things never seem to be quite what you imagine. To me, that sounds wonderful." I laughed. "There are a few people whom I would love to feel my savagery! And yet, for you, being seen that way is awkward and uncomfortable."
We had come back to the Palace proper now, and I turned to her with a smile. "Are you ready to go now, or do you have anything you need to take care of? Don't feel as if you have to entertain me, I am perfectly willing to meet you somewhere in a bit, if that's better for you."

"Well," I said as we walked up the walk leading to the Palace, "I should probably put away my bow and arrow," I said with a wry grin, "no need to cause the good people of the City a fright," I said with a wink. "You can come with me if you like, or if you need to do something we can meet for lunch then start shopping from there?"

"Actually," I paused, considering the time. "I have a class at the Academy and if I'm late again the professor might just throw me out." I laughed, shaking my head. For as much as I enjoyed my studies, I did seem to make a habit of running into class at the last possible moment. "What if we meet afterward? At Caisse de Pomme? We can eat, and then shop. What do you think?"

I understood duty, perhaps more than most, and so I nodded with an understanding smile. "Ah the pursuit of academia," I murmured, "not a problem at all. When would you like to meet?"

"How about," I pondered for a moment, thinking about how long it would take for me to finish my class and then get to Caisse de Pomme, "two hours hence?" The class was only about half of that time, which would give me plenty of time to meet with her.

I smiled. That would give me enough time to wash up and change as well. I nodded and laughed softly. "That sounds perfect. I am so excited!" I said with a genuine grin. "So Caisse de Pomme, two hours. I will be there," I said with a smile.
