Rising early on the following day Paolo made his way downstairs to catch the morning cook and ask for a bite to eat and start his day. A few coins paid for the baked fruit bread and warm sausage the cook offered him for the morning fare and he made his way out to enjoy the sunshine of the morning before leaving for Eisande.
He had also made arrangements for a room to be waiting for him when he returned and felt reassured that things were going smoothly now that his search had led him here.
Eating his fill he went to meet with Boone, the coachman. When he found him a stable hand was there, already loading his bag onto the carriage. Catching his attention he asked him when they'd be going and how long it might take. "Oh, ho ho, well now," he replied, with a laugh "We'll be set to go here shortly, don't you worry." The man told him, informing him of the time frame, his jolly smile and engaging laughter setting him at ease.
"Alright then, I'll be back in a moment." Paolo told the man, returning to the inn to purchase a few things such as an afternoon's meal and a small gift to give to his host and looking for someone to send a message on a head to announce his arrival.
Catching a passing young man he asked where he could get a message sent by courier and was assured he could find one in town. Following the directions he'd been given he found the man quite easily.
"I'm already set to leave for his place this morning, so this must arrive in a timely fashion," he told him, "It is to be delivered to a Jean-Luc Benét tu Bauldouin, post haste, is this possible?" he asked, the man nodding in reply, confirming the address and taking note of the message.
Paying the man handsomely for the service and the speedy delivery he made his way back to the waiting carriage. "All set then?" the coachman asked, calling out to him from the top seat of the carriage and waving as soon as he spotted him.
"I am ready if you are," Paolo said with a grin and a wave in reply. Stepping into the carriage he settled in for the ride, the handsome gift he had chosen, of a bottle of wine, wrapped carefully against breakage and nestled safely beside him for the journey.
